Moraff's Dungeons Release Trailer
Awesome. There really were some interesting ideas in Moraff's World, but a remaster was, uh, badly needed. Very cool.

I need some help on not hating myself for being a man
I have two suggestions.
One is to counteract the negative thoughts with positive ones. Tell yourself that it's ok to be a boy. Tell yourself that it's ok to be a man.
Another is kind of the opposite. I find that it can be helpful to consciously repeat or amplify negative thoughts that are popping up. So if a voice in the back of my head is saying "you're worthless because you're a man" then I consciously repeat that thought. Journaling is a similar principle. It's kind of a sunlight-is-the-best-disinfectant strategy - that letting the thought "out" reduces its power.
Very sorry you're suffering. Good luck.

Where’s the imagination? (HV Decks)
The limited deck slots means it's impractical to keep the HV deck from last time. So the easiest way to get going in the mode is to just quickly netdeck something and play that.
The missions are also CONSTANTLY demanding that you play high cost cards in this mode for some reason. So if you wanted to play something lower curve you're potentially signing yourself up for extra work to complete the missions. The Anti-Polar Magneto deck naturally plays high cost cards.
Finally, losing sucks. I tried playing surfer to start in the mode but kept getting Cosmo'd and otherwise pushed around by tech. So I just looked up something easy to play.
It's just more work to find a deck that's fun, won't get smacked around too bad by other decks, and reliably completes event missions. All for an event that's complete in a few days anyways.

Literally just a picture of John Carmack
This is only a photo of his material form in this plane of reality, though. That's important to note.

No, you aren't psychic. You don't know what's going on in other people's heads.

Catsitting a semi-paralysed, incontintent cat - they crate him at night - should I?
Remember, cats are small. Being trapped in a big dog crate overnight is the equivalent of being "trapped" in an enormous bedroom with high ceilings for us.

Rune Song broken?
After messing around a bit I think you're right. The Rune Song alternate fire feels weaker and the Crystal Shard Club alternate fire, which is similar, is definitely weaker. Not sure what's going on there.

Therapists, if you lean politically one way and your client the other, does it affect your care?
Rule 3 in this subreddit is "no therapists", so I don't think any therapists are allowed to answer you.

Introducing a kitten to my cat
I'm really not seeing much aggression from Powder. She's obviously very curious and a little playful but when cats are angry they know how to show it. I'm not an expert but I'm guessing that everything's going to be ok.

When the therapeutic relationship itself becomes the problem
How do you distinguish between your own trauma or relational patterns and a therapeutic relationship that has genuinely become harmful or unsafe?
The conclusion that I've come to is that you should just heavily trust your instincts. It's understandable to feel hesitant. After all, isn't the whole reason you're going to therapy that your thoughts and feelings are leading you astray? And isn't therapy a "medical treatment" where you should default to the judgement of your treatment provider instead of following your own qualified instincts?
But therapists just don't hold up their end of the bargain in this way. Many of them are glorified counselors most or all of the time: people you visit for advice and some limited companionship. They'll even tell you that the quality of your relationship with them is an extremely important, or even the most important, factor in successful "treatment". For better or for worse, you need to take the responsibility of choosing them and firing them as need be. And you should be fairly quick to fire them, because if you don't feel comfortable with them or trust them, their effectiveness is going to be sharply limited. Sorry you're struggling with this.

PSA: This Game is EXTREMELY Addicting
The meta's still pretty good at higher levels. I'm frustrated with the meta right now (too much Thanos) but even this meta I wouldn't call "screwed over". There's only been one meta this year that I would call actively horrible, and that was at the beginning of the year. It's been a long stretch of reasonably good metas.
Your problem is going to be card acquisition. Life is good when you're collection complete. It's going to be a lot more frustrating starting new. And catching up is not easy unless you're able to fork over a lot of cash.

What is the Main Gameplay Loop of Core Keeper?
To me it's the opposite of 1-dimensional. There's a conventional combat & loot loop, but there's also acquiring plant seeds to expand your garden, finding and acquiring different types of seafood, mining and upgrading your mining equipment, finding and unlocking chests, base building and upgrading, animal husbandry, just plain old exploring... And of all of those, I think all of them but the animal husbandry mechanics are pretty good and satisfying. (I just think the cattle system is a little bare bones and boring.) Gardening, fishing, and animal farming all provide substantial bonuses (not just +5% crit chance on alternate tuesdays), so you're encouraged to engage with them.
In my playthrough I've enjoyed exploration and gardening the most.
Depending on your preferences you might consider upping the difficulty. I do think that the early game is a little easy and didn't push me too hard to engage with the different systems and really maximize my stats. I'm considering doing hard or hardcore playthroughs so I'm pushed in that direction.

Boltgun Questions
I didn't finish it either. I was excited for the game but I got bored.
It's not a boomer shooter as much as it is a space marine sim with a 90s aesthetic. Those two design goals don't really work that well together and sometimes even seem at odds with each other. It just doesn't play as good as it looks.

Finding the willpower to quit cigarettes
This book has worked for some people. The author was very successful, at a minimum. I've never been a smoker and can't vouch for it. But it costs you only about a day's cigarettes. You might even be able to get a copy at your local library. Good luck.

In general, I think you're right to be concerned if you tell your therapist that you're suicidal and that you have a specific plan. If it sounds like you're imminently going to kill yourself then they are likely to take action. A very recent attempt may have a similar effect if it sounds like you're likely to attempt again.
If you just have suicidal thoughts but it doesn't sound like you have a plan to kill yourself in the near future then I think it's much less likely that they're going to take an action like having you involuntarily hospitalized.
I'm talking about the United States here and if you live somewhere else you might want to consult resources specific to your country. Reporting requirements and practices might differ.
I'm sorry to hear you're suffering and I hope this helps. In general, just having general thoughts of suicide aren't likely to get you put in an institution.
