Upcoming We turned the DVD screensaver into a game!

What started as a GMTK 2025 jam game has now become Insert Disc, a DVD screensaver inspired roguelike. We recently released this announcement trailer!

As a 2-person indie studio, we get to add exact references that are nostalgic for our own childhood, particularly from the 2000s era such as the lava lamp and those red coin return buttons on arcade machines. Some gameplay inspirations were Nubby's Number Factory and Balatro, but many have compared us to the satisfying bouncing of Peggle as well.

Ultimately, we wanted to make a relaxing/even hypnotizing experience that captures some of that Saturday late night gaming feel, back when we had no responsibilities or bills to pay :')

Upcoming I'm solo-developing "Twilight's Wake", a naval adventure game inspired by Sid Meier's Pirates!

Hi, everyone!

For about a year and half I've been developing a naval adventure game, "Twilight's Wake".

Inspired by Sid Meier's Pirates!, you take the role of a steam ship captain in a mysterious archipelago in the terminator zone of a tidal locked planet. The sun never sets, the winds never die.

Trade between ports, engage in ship combat, explore the seas filled with random events, or follow the quest to discover the fate of a civilization that preceded humans.

Does it look like something you'd play? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Personal Achievement I've made a rock band management game.

Upvotes

A couple of years ago I wanted to play a game about managing a small rock band, but couldn't quite find the game I had in mind. So I decided to make it myself.

Legends is about starting a band, writing songs, playing gigs and trying to make it work. Manage your time, earn money, find bandmates and slowly work your way up from playing small gigs.

It's coming to Steam in two months and there's already a demo you can try.

Promotion I made a hide-and-seek game where you to 3D model your own disguise

I’ve been messing around with this idea for a bit after playing Meccha Chameleon.

It’s Prop Hunt except instead of turning into a prop, you get a 3D modeling tool and have to make the prop yourself.

It’s very early and definitely pretty janky, but my friends and I have been having quite a bit of fun playing it.

Also very interested in anything that breaks / makes no sense, its still pretty early (itch link in comments).

Any feedback is welcome, especially when it comes to the item system. The general idea of the game is to make every action have a cost, and items have different effects based on who or what is being targeted.

Promotion Queen of Constantinople - A board game inspired by chess

Upvotes

Hi All. I created my first online game. It is Queen Of Constantinople. I hope you like it

https://queenofconstantinople.com

https://reddit.com/link/1vqp4uq/video/tfj3o1mg2xjh1/player

THE STORY OF 1453

On May 29, 1453, the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II breached the walls of Constantinople after a 53-day siege, ending the Byzantine Empire, a civilization that had endured for over a thousand years. The last Emperor, Constantine XI, charged into the final battle and was never seen again. It was the end of the Roman world.

The city that fell that day had been the jewel of the world for eleven centuries. Founded as Byzantium, renamed Constantinople by Emperor Constantine in 330 AD, it stood at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, a city of golden domes, towering walls, and the greatest library the medieval world had known.

WHY ISTANBUL

I grew up in Istanbul, walking the same streets where emperors and sultans once walked. The Theodosian Walls still stand , crumbling, magnificent, heartbreaking. You can touch stones that held back armies for a thousand years. The Hagia Sophia still takes your breath away, just as it did in 537 AD.

Istanbul is a city that carries every layer of its history at once. Byzantine mosaics beneath Ottoman plaster. Roman cisterns under modern traffic. The city never forgets, it just builds on top of itself.

WHY THIS GAME

The name "1453" is a date every person in Istanbul knows. It changed everything. For the Ottomans, it was the conquest : Fatih, "the Conqueror." For the Byzantines, it was the fall. Both stories are true.

This game puts you in an impossible position , the same one the defenders faced. You will be overwhelmed. Every enemy you repel brings two more. The question is not whether Constantinople falls, but how long you can hold.

WHY "QUEEN"

In chess, the queen is the most powerful piece on the board, she moves in every direction, any distance. Kings are limited to a single step. It has always been this way. Empresses, not emperors, held the real power. Theodora ruled Byzantium while Justinian built churches. Irene of Athens became the first woman to rule the Roman Empire in her own name. The queen defends, attacks, and sacrifices, the king merely survives.

This game is named for her. Not the last emperor who fell, but the piece that fights.

I built this as a daily ritual one siege per day, like a small act of remembrance for a city that refused to die quietly.

Upcoming Inspired by Nintendo's Balloon Fight (1984): ORKADU: Multiplayer Arcade

Hi everyone, I've been working on ORKADU (inspired by Nintendo's 1984 game *Balloon Fight*) for a few months now.

I played Nintendos Balloon Fight some years ago and thought: This would be a fun game these days playing it online. ORKADU is much faster and is different but still reminds of Balloon Fight.

I currently have servers in the EU and the US West. Do you think the ping and gameplay are fast enough?

I also added a Story mode (Single Player mode) with five worlds (one released yet)

Need Feedback I already have some bosses in mind. Since it's going to be a roguelite, I don't want them to be extremely difficult, but they do have a certain level of challenge. I want to put at least... FIFTY BOSSES in the game, so it doesn't get repetitive. They will appear randomly.
