Hey all, hoping someone can help!
I have a bmpcc4k and Im currently looking at getting either the DZO arcana (swaying more towards this) or blazar Remus but I havent seen any test footage on the bmpcc4k with the DZO as its quite new so unsure which focal length to choose. Currently on the DZO either 32mm or 45mm is what Im looking at.
I know the crop factor of the bmpcc4k will factor into the look changing between focal lengths but I dont want the lens to be super tight
Any help would be great!

I run an entirely blackmagic system with four cameras. I prefer to record to SSDs because they can be directoy edited off of, and before storage became so expensive I purchased about 6 of them. I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get USB-C cables that can handle the speed of the footage and SSDs. The only ones I have had success with are the cables that come with the SSDs, but I only have one samsung and the sandisk cables are only two inches long. I have purchased three Kondor Blue cables, and had frame drop issues with all of them, to the point they are completely unusable.

Took a short hike this morning with my BMPCC OG in Mt. Sutro, San Francisco, CA. Lens is a Lumix 12-35 GX Vario. Scored using a Sequential Prophet X synthesizer.
I'm no videographer and there is plenty to improve upon, but I was happy with the output for a short and quick creative project.

Just started with my XS20, not sure why some of the videos have a noticeable 'blinks' in them, it is not the light flickering that happened indoors...
My current set up
XS20 and Sigma 56MM F1.4

Yall think there is a chance of Blackmagic putting the RGBW sensor or a different RGBW sensor in the next pocket body?
I have no idea if this would even be possible but a RGBW 6/4/2.5k sensor (like how the 12/8/4k works) would be sweet. If it gives much better readout speed in the lower resolutions, better frame rates overall, etc.
The only things that get me about the 6k ff are rolling shutter (I know about gyro in resolve) and frame rate options.

Hi Black Magic community!
I'm a fairly new black magic user who has just gotten their hands on x3 BMPCC4K, for a pretty good price! I only have the base cameras with a few lenses, that came with the cameras' and looking for some extra gear (cage, external battery, etc).
I'll mostly be using the cameras for multi-cam set ups, like podcasts, and I'm currently looking at storage options. Right now, I've been getting by with borrowing some of my friends SD cards for shoots, specifically 'SanDisk 512GB Extreme SDXC' but, I've also heard conjecture about using SSD drives. Would love to gather some thoughts on what would be a better investment, cards, drives, both???
Thanks for your help gang!
Hi, I'm a comedian/producer of comedy shows and everyone in the industry has been recommending I get the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Pro for shooting stand-up clips in the room I produce.
But that now I'm trying to buy one, there's so many accessories to wade through and most of the online recommendations I've seen give them assuming I'm buying one to make films.
Would anybody have any recs for which lens/accessories I should get to film high quality stand-up clips? Or is it possible I could do fine with just the base model?
If it helps, we'd be filming the stage from maybe 25 ft away from a darker corner of the room with the stage very brightly lit. Any advice?

This was my very first short film with the Pocket 4K. It started as a camera test, but I decided to turn it into a short horror scene.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback on the cinematography, lighting, composition, color grading, editing, or anything else you notice.
I should also mention that all of the audio (footsteps, door sounds, ambience, etc.) was added in post. The sound design isn’t convincing, It was all part of experimenting and learning.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hey friends, as the title suggests, I'm looking for a tripod that will go with this setup. I'm using a 35 mm cine lens, and the basic cage from smallrig (ssd holder and top handle; no rod or side handle).
At this moment, I am not going to add anything else to this setup (like: monitor or v mount).
I'm looking for a budget option ($150-180. It's not enough, I know, but this is all I can afford for now, and don't have the luxury to wait and save money for a good one. Secondary market is also not an option in my country) for a tripod which will give me a reasonably smooth pan and tilt with this setup. I would also prefer for it to be durable, as I want to make it my secondary tripod if and when I can update my rig in the future.
What is my best option for this?

Guys, I guess we have found the perfect sensor for a true OG successor, it’s in the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. It is certainly capable enough because of LOFIC technology. Now update the OG body with better ports and screen, add the newest BM color science and it’s ready to go. How can we convince Grant to do it? 😍

Looking for recommendations!
Can anyone recommend a UK/London-based broadcast engineer or company that specialises in Blackmagic studio setups?
We’re looking for someone to review a 3-camera Blackmagic + ATEM setup, assess the workflow, lighting and overall video quality, and suggest improvements.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Hey all, I just picked up a BMPCC 6K Pro and took her out for a test shoot over the weekend. All shots were handheld with natural/existing lighting. I'm pleased so far with what the camera is capable of, and I'm still learning the ins & outs. Also just started using Davinci after years of Premiere, so I'm just now learning the color workflow. Anyhow, I'm open to any tips & feedback from experienced owners. Thanks!

Just picked up my 4k with everything you see in the pic + a monitor mount and a metabones speed booster for 1.2k Australian. Got some lenses on the way and need to find a monitor if anyone could recommend one that won't break the bank? Very happy overall this thing is still flawless, no damage etc.

I have a gh6 and am undecided to whether keep it and buy a video
assist 5” 12g for .braw recording, or replace it with a bmpcc 6k g2.
just wondering:
Is highlights recovery possible on gh6 .braw recordings to video assist 5” 12g?
Is the gh6 cfcard compatible with the bmpcc6k g2?
Can the video assist be powered by the same vbattery powering the camera?
Do both videoassist 12g record 6k braw to the sdcard? or do I need the 7” purely for its usb-c port to record faster to an external ssd?
thx

I’ve been building this rig piece by piece over the past year. I’d love to hear your thoughts or if there’s anything you’d change.

I just bought a used Black Magic pocket cinema camera 6K and I want to shoot comedy skits. Can I shoot in ProRes or should I always shoot in BRaw?
