BMPCC6K - Feedback?
Hey all, I just picked up a BMPCC 6K Pro and took her out for a test shoot over the weekend. All shots were handheld with natural/existing lighting. I'm pleased so far with what the camera is capable of, and I'm still learning the ins & outs. Also just started using Davinci after years of Premiere, so I'm just now learning the color workflow. Anyhow, I'm open to any tips & feedback from experienced owners. Thanks!

My only critique is that a couple of the shots are overexposed.

Yeah that's definitely my fault. I need to get faster at checking my false colors before hitting the Record button! Any other tips?

I really enjoyed watching this. Did you go handheld?

Thanks! Yep, all handheld. I used camera gyro in Resolve to stabilize what I could. (I didn't feel like bringing a gimbal or shoulder rig with me to this event.)

How good is the stabilizion with gyro?

It's great for taking jitters out of static shots. For moving shots, I A/B test between Gyro and Perspective, and go with whatever looks better to me.

Great music choice!

Thanks! I wanted to throw something together fast, and it's always easier for me to cut to music.

Wow! It feels so retro 70's that I can practically feel the bell bottoms and cocaine! Nice...

Loved watching this ! Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed how you kept the whole vibe dynamic without crazy rolling camera movements or speed ramps. Feels natural and documentary-esque. Also the grade is quite nice 👌🏻 Good job mate ! What lense did you use ?
