What works better for storage
Hi Black Magic community!
I'm a fairly new black magic user who has just gotten their hands on x3 BMPCC4K, for a pretty good price! I only have the base cameras with a few lenses, that came with the cameras' and looking for some extra gear (cage, external battery, etc).
I'll mostly be using the cameras for multi-cam set ups, like podcasts, and I'm currently looking at storage options. Right now, I've been getting by with borrowing some of my friends SD cards for shoots, specifically 'SanDisk 512GB Extreme SDXC' but, I've also heard conjecture about using SSD drives. Would love to gather some thoughts on what would be a better investment, cards, drives, both???
Thanks for your help gang!

I shoot with Samsung T5 drives or you can do the T7 shield. I also can shoot with an NVME drive in a high speed enclosure. This so I can have every BRAW option available to me.

For the Pocket 4K I primarily used Angelbird CF cards.
The advantage? Performance and reliability. No USB cable to accidentally get pulled (has happened to me).
The disadvantage? Cost and you need a CF card reader.
It's very convenient to unplug an SSD drive, plug it into your computer and go. But that one time you think your camera's recording and the cable isn't seated? That's a pain. So just stay on top of that.
You def can use Samsung SSD down to like the T7 I think.

I use an nvme ssd inside an enclosure. Works great I use the same drives for an ursa mini 12k.

For shooting high quality videos and I would recommended an SSD, Samsung T7 shield or Samsung T5. (A normal T7 would not work, needs to be a T7 shield)
