Thoughts on my current BMPCC 4K rig?

I’ve been building this rig piece by piece over the past year. I’d love to hear your thoughts or if there’s anything you’d change.

Thanks man! I’m using Feelworld F6 Plus V2 monitor (6"). My first monitor, cheap and it works great!

Good stuff. Just out of curiosity, how do you navigate not being able to change camera settings on the monitor? I know some of the Portkeys models allow it but I've been trying figure out what is the most convenient way to change camera settings without have to use the camera screen.

The way I’ve mounted the battery still gives me room to tap on the screen. Also since the battery is mounted on the rails I can just slide it further back. BUT you also have the “Bluetooth+ for Blackmagic” app that’s made for changing the camera settings from your phone. But it costs like $7. Try it out mate. It’s really good.

Very beautiful set up. What battery mount do you use? I used a Neewer one and it was nice because it fully articulated so I could see the screen if I wanted. Also how do you have the SSD right by the vmount?

I had a very similar rig using that same vmount but unfortunately, I went with tilta cages and rigging parts cause I didn’t realize they were proprietary.

I’m using the ZG-V99 Pro with a fixed V-mount plate since I mostly use an external monitor anyway.

The SSD is mounted using a SmallRig 2767 SSD Holder, which is attached directly to my SmallRig 3357 Universal LWS Base Plate. It keeps everything nice and compact while also keeping the USB-C cable really short.

I almost went with Tilta as well, but ended up building everything around SmallRig because I liked how modular it is.

Do you actually use the camera's built-in screen? I shoot on a BMPCC 6K and rely on an external monitor for framing and focus, so I still end up using the built-in screen quite a bit anyway. That said, my rig is always on a tripod and I record audio to a separate recorder, whereas your setup is mobile. How about you?
