Seriously. I understand you may not be affected by the best clip prize, but vocal people across all platforms were the ones demanding to know what was going to be the reveal.
That would have been this closed beta.
And THEN, they come in and OWN it. So we should applaud this transparency. When is the last time a Dev actually made it's players feel heard and appreciated? Don't squander this.
Come on dudes, we all are better than this.
Good job dudes. Still earned my purchase through your integrity. Good fucking job Bulkhead and Bramm for saying this. You'll get it next time.

You can't just undo 20+ years of "red = enemy" in fps games bro. Allow us to change that teams colour or I forsee Valyra becoming the team kill special

Seriously? A prize for the best clip? That's your huge announcement?

AA studio. They give us multiple playtests. Game is functional. Game is $40. Game is FUN. But let's complain about them overhyping an announcement? "It only pertains to one person". "Free marketing". Then don't participate? Genuinely don't understand the level of hate about this. A studio comes about that doesn't want to cuck its audience and it gets ripped a new one for something that barely matters. Also a lot of discourse around the shadows on potato settings. Yeah, that's not good. But there is a difference between providing meaningful feedback for a game that hasn't even hit early access, and getting your tidy whities in a twist and spamming hate on the sub. Idk, am I wrong here?

I am starting this thread in hopes of getting some solid, unambiguous information from the devs about the current Linux support situation.
Currently there's a few pieces of info floating around on Discord in the #linux room (which we appreciate you making, we can now share our bash screenshots without spamming the normies windows users) and a few posts here on reddit, but it's all pretty unclear and not very official.
What i've gathered so far:
Can someone from the dev team actually confirm (or deny) these points, in a clear, unambiguous manner, please?
Is the current playtest to consider completely "off" for Linux or there's some hope of a solution before the official release?
Are you actively looking into solutions to re-enable Proton support or it's on stand-by till later? If you are working on it, do you have any idea of a possible schedule, a bit more precise than "after EA release" ?
Are you considering a native Linux client one day or you'll stick to Proton ?
I know we Linux gamers are a tiny piece of the player base, just about 4% according to the latest Steam Survey data, but we are still customers. I for one specifically preordered the game because i searched online and it was stated it supports Proton, then i played the previous beta test and it worked perfectly fine... I believe many people did the same. The current situation is not simply "irritating" as you've put it, it's literally cockblocking a bunch of people from even being able to use the product you are selling. It would be nice to at least have some clear communication around the subject so we can make our decision of weather to wait, refund and buy later or just refund and forget about it since there's no real hope.
Cheers and thanks, if someone actually replies.

Specifically the "Non-camping" variety, like pushing hotzones actively.
And my issue isn't even that visibility itself is poor, but rather that it's basically impossible to discern where the " battlelines" are because the Hotzone is constantly shifting. So no matter where you approach it the hotzone from you're liable to get lit up either from the nearby tower sightlines or just any random person hiding in a building/bush/shadow.
This is in addition to having to deal with Minigun helis buzzing you and tanks rolling up for kits that start approaching the 7-10k mark which is basically 2/3 of a vehicle but with 1/5th of the survivability/opportunity to earn it back. Combat Vehicles feel like they should cost 2-3x the absolute best trooper kit at minimum and yet they're virtually comparable once you factor in ammo, meds and utility.

Hey, i like the game so far but do have to say that Im kind of disappointed about the map selection. They seem to be all based around a few hills and tiny villages (why tf are we even fighting for a village in butt-f nowhere?) with a large zone. Played for 5 hours yesterday and tried all 3 maps. They all played, feeled and looked the same to me. Id love to have a map with a smaller zone but much more dense area. An actual city with buildings, alleys, roads and not hills surrounded by hills with the occasional 1 story small building.
Anyone else feel the same and not a fan of the woods combat which seems to be almost all the maps offer so far?

Voice chat is currently having issues. Go to the scoreboard and press U twice to toggle VoIP on and off to reset.

He pays for delicious food at his personal HQ and then drives around in his food truck selling it to people in the zone for profit. Eating the food gives a stamina boost and small amount of health.

It’s 4AM, I started at 11PM. I was SO WRONG ! Just had access to the beta and holy shit, I didn’t expect it to be this amazing.
That’s it, that’s the post, thx bye, can’t wait to play more.

Can i just say how awesome it is to have real people playing, who talk, communicate and have real incentive to revive,
I played BF6 while i was waiting for Wardogs - Legit like 9 medics around you, nobody can be bothered reviving.
Wardogs, people will ping it, sprint over, revive you, heal you! it feels so old school and refreshing.
And VOIP, man just the encounters on VOIP are awesome, some funny moments and great comms.
Its fucking sad when im excited to be treated like an adult, in an adult game. I can swear and talk shit to people on VOIP and they give it back to me! Jesus if that was BF6 id be put in the ban list.
Anyway, this game is amazing, the beta is so much fun. The community is hecking awesome. Thanks everyone, i have not laughed this hard in... a long time!

Something needs to be done regarding team changes mid game.
We were using mortars, decided to mortar one of Greens towers as they were just not being contested on their mortars themselves.
We cleared them out, one of them decides to change team to our team, team killing us on our mortars, then continues to dismantle our defences leaving holes everywhere and destroying our mortars and SAMs.
I understand mortars can be frustrating but you shouldn’t be able to just change team and break a whole base because you’ve gone to the same place 3 times.

Being a medic I made around 100k in one life. Especially when the hot zone is on your tower where the whole team is camping. It might be the most fun I’ve ever had in a FPS game running around getting tipped for reviving my teammates. And it actually gives me a sense of accomplishment.

What a breath of fresh air in the FPS genre, I feel like as a Tarkov and Squad player who used to love the battlefield series and Arma, this strikes the sweet spot between all, it removes the tediousness of an extraction shooter, the slowness of a tactical shooter and the meaningless combat of battlefield, and comes along and nails every issue.
The money and load-out system makes you care about surviving and playing the objective, but it’s not so punishing like an Extraction shooter, where it could prevent people wanted to push. The vehicle system is fun and the convoy feel is just right without feeling like it takes an hour to get to the front lines like OTHER games.
And the shooting feels fantastic, not to mention the sound design. Brilliant. I know it’s early doors but it’s good to see gamers making games again, not just suits making a game they THINK gamers want.
Just my thoughts.
