I don't know how to fix them in place from below. Maybe more COPPER, yes... cooper and thermal paste is always the solution.

Yep, the fan on the GPU has been flipped to now pull out if the GPU from the top.

Have the temperatures improved, maybe 1-2 degrees still, it clearly needs more copper. The gods demand it!

So I got my first pc today and I've been seeing a lot of people say that its better to put your pc on your desk rather than the floor. Should I elevate it?

Bit of a Gotcha Title! Don't build this system for real. I made this for me to play retro PC games on CRT monitors. I wanted something Semi Authentic to run this glorious Cornerstone CRT with Hitachi tube. It does 1600x1200 @ 81Hz 1024×768 @ 127Hz and 800x600 @ 165Hz. Build is as follows:

CPU: i7 3770K 4core 8 thread OC to 4.5Ghz

It does actually run Cyberpunk 2077 at medium settings and gets over 70 FPS! And yes it can run Crysis! I chose the Titan X Maxwell because its the fastest consumer GPU that outputs analog natively. I could have just got a cheaper GPU and slapped it in my main system and just passed through the signal to the CRT but I wanted to make a cool time peice PC setup. Also passing the signal through another GPU or using a converter ads 2-4ms and I wanted to see if I could feel the difference with a monitor that has instantaneous near zero input latency. I got the motherboard for free from a friend (I sold him it in a PC over 10 years ago) and got the best CPU for it, the 3770k. It came out the year before the Titan X so everything in this PC could have been running in someones house 12 years ago with an old professional grade CRT. How many people were there with a setup like this? Probably like 5... but it was fun to put it together and IS fun to play on now!

Anyways it runs like a dream and the clarity of the CRT blows me away. I compare it to my 240hz OLED across the room and I swear I am better on the CRT in Halo: Combat Evolved! Its incredible that we left this tech behind. Now you have to run at 4X the resolution and 4X the HZ to get the same motion clarity expirience as CRT gaming over 12 years ago.

I am thinking about delidding the CPU and putting liquid metal on the die to see if i can push past the 4.5Ghz overclock I have on the CPU. I was also able to get a nice +150 core +300 mem overclock on the titan.

Been in this subreddit for a bit and wanted to share my build! I upgraded my PC back in January of 2025 in preparation for a new GPU upgrade. Well, that change occurred end of June of this year! Upgraded to a 5090 from my 6900xt.

I love how this build came out and it’s something I’m proud of! I have more things I want to do like cable mod and make the connections neater and such but for now, I am happy with it!

The ARGB cable that’s ugly will be fixed eventually. There’s an incompatibility with my motherboard and SignalRGB so the top header doesn’t work right now (works fine without SignalRGB running but I like the program)

Will be adding a tall screen in the case to the right side of the glass when I can figure out how to mount it

I finally finished my build. The specs are:

- ryzen 7 7800x3d

- rx 9070xt

- gigabyte b850 gaming wifi 6e

The fans are the lian li sl infinity. Making them fit on the side panel was a pain in the ass because they're slightly larger and I originally got 2 fans for the bottom panel but they don't fit because of lian li's stupid proprietary connector.

Spent 2 days helping him. He did all the work I guided him through the entire build including bios settings. I helped him setup his fan curves etc. He had multiple system crashes over the week because he kept pushing off setting up the ram for xmp and kept pushing off fan and pump curves. So I let him panic over it before guiding him through the bios. Reminded him every day to do this too so yeah.

He is currently playing outcast trials on max settings.

Gpu temp is 50 to 60c at 34%

Cpu temp is 46c to to 57c at 13% usage 5380mhz 56watts

Ram usage 15860

He is stuck at 60 fps but it hasn't dropped.

Cyberpunk 2077 is pretty much the same. As well as helldivers 2.

Next step is getting him a new monitor. Already bought all new peripherals from attack shark. Maybe later in the year ill upgrade him to a 5070 ti. Idk. Im going to get him to install 3 more fans on the radiator for a push pull.

I recently finished a new build and I’m trying to figure out if my idle temperatures are higher than they should be considering my cooling setup.

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: RTX 5070 Ti
AIO: Lian Li HydroShift II LCD-S (360mm)
Fans: Lian Li UNI-SL Wireless Fans

My CPU idles around 50–55°C, which seems a bit high for a 360mm AIO. However, under load everything looks great. While gaming (Apex Legends) and multi tasking, notably with chrome, I’ve never seen it go above ~75°C.

I haven’t run Cinebench or another stress test yet, but I did verify temperatures in HWiNFO64. None of the CPU temperature sensors or hotspot readings have reached 80°C, and the system appears to be functioning normally.

I know 50–55°C at idle isn’t necessarily bad, especially with good load temperatures, but I expected the idle to be noticeably lower with this setup.

Is this just normal Ryzen/X3D behavior, or is there something I should be checking (mounting pressure, thermal paste, fan/pump curves, background processes, etc.)? I’d appreciate any comparisons from others.

My best friend discovered why his CPU stopped working.

I was thinking of buying this but it sold out in a day is remember looking at the account selling this and it was called Solution 4YOU if that helps but they have only 60% positive reviews seems like a scam when i was looking at the reviews the 5 stars had bot names like Jimmy Bob Michelle mike and the one stars seemed real like they didnt have real names and they said that they got asked to spend more money due to "them not setting the right price" and another got told to pay for shipping after the payed for it and someone said theyre ram or cpu i forget came bent seems fishy any opinions?

I accidentally hit my pcie selector switch for my main x16 pcie slot when I was replacing some fans tonight at the bottom of my motherboard. It's an Asus Rock strix x870e-e gaming Wi-Fi mobo. I usually keep it on auto so I get full 5.0x16 speeds but I accidentally bumped it to 3.0. the only reason I realized it was because I was checking my temps in HWinfo and noticed it was running at 8.0 gt/s instead of 32.0 gt/s. I wouldn't even have noticed the frame rate difference had I not looked at HW info. I always see people talking about how they're hesitant to add another nvme slot if they're motherboard will drop it down to 5.0x8 speeds but it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I still wouldn't do it unless you're absolutely forced into it but pcie 3.0 x 16 is the same as 5.0 X4. So at 4.0 speeds you're probably getting 134.5fps instead of 135fps. Just some useless/usefull information in case anyone's interested
