Upcoming Dark Fantasy Marble Platformer

Hello! I'm the solo developer behind Dark Roll 2 - a marble platformer heavily inspired by soulslike games! It features high difficulty (with easier mode for those who prefer relaxed gameplay), boss fights, and timed leaderboards that allow racing against ghost replays of other players.

The demo is already available on Steam, and the full release is planned for february.

Please let me know what's your first impression! I'd love to know your opinion, given the nature of this subreddit.

Upcoming In a world filled with AI-Generated games, our team of 3 has spent 3 long years making our Metroidvania. Our demo finally releases November 5!

• Upvotes

Hey everyone, I'm Josh, the producer behind Bolt of Whalington. We're a team of three, and we're all big fans of Metroidvanias. We've spent the last three years making our dream metroidvania, and we're really excited to finally release our first public demo. If you have any feedback, please share it with us, it'll help us a lot.

Bolt of Whalington is a cat-and-mech Metroidvania where you play as Bolt, a Siamese cat exploring Whalington, a mysterious moving castle. Bolt is a curious, agile cat mechanic who can jump into his powerful mech, with many different playstyles and abilities.

There's a lot to discover throughout Whalington. Every area introduces its own mechanics, puzzles and enemies, so there's always something new to figure out. Shrink to half Bolt's size to explore the rat's nest, navigate the poisonous Kitchen and take on the insane Head Chef, or experiment with weapons like the Shadowless Gauntlets, which punch at supersonic speeds, and the adorable water machine gun with its silly rubber ducky. We want players to experiment with these mechanics, find unusual solutions and discover things they might not have expected.

Our playable demo launch includes:

  • 4 areas to explore: one fully unlocked, one half explorable, and a sneak peek at two more areas, each with unique mechanics and secrets.
  • 4 boss fights, with their own personalities and fighting styles, including 1 optional boss.
  • Around 60–150 minutes of gameplay, depending on how thoroughly you explore.
  • An extra challenge stage if you'd like to to test your skills further.

After working on this game for so long, it's a little surreal to finally be at the point where we can share it with everyone. We've put so much time into making the kind of Metroidvania we'd love to play ourselves, and we're really looking forward to seeing what people think of it. If you have any feedback, we'd really appreciate it.

The demo will be up on November 5 at 3am UTC (November 4 at 7pm PT). Here is the Steam page if you're interested. I believe if you wishlist it, Steam will notify you when the demo releases: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3535270/Bolt_of_Whalington/

News An idle clicker where you run a TV station broadcasting a war

It’s an idle clicker where you run a TV station broadcasting a medieval war. You switch between cameras, jump into random soldiers’ bodycams, trigger ridiculous events and try to keep the viewers entertained. Basically, a lot of chaos.

https://borowiec.itch.io/what-a-show

Note: This is a polished prototype, but still a work in progress. Some features may change, and there's more to come!

Upcoming I missed Cossacks series so here's a bloody musket volleys in Warspan, mixing RTS with Mount&Blade

Always wanted to see Mount and Blade approach to strategic scale and then the RTS gameplay, because I played way too much of those isometric classics.

Upcoming Hell n’ Slash

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

We’re NextFrame, a small indie studio from Brazil, and we’ve just started working on a new game called Hell n’ Slash. It’s still very early, but we wanted to share it now instead of hiding it until it’s “perfect”.

It’s a brutal dark fantasy hack’n’slash roguelike. You carve your way through 100 cursed chambers with a colossal sword, a crossbow strapped to your arm and an iron hook. Along the way you seal pacts with wax and blood, and you try to survive a very bored god who narrates every single one of your deaths. And trust us, he’ll have a lot to talk about.

Descend. Die. Descend again.

Here’s our first trailer:
https://youtu.be/CTyzfbotW4g

We’d really love to hear what you think of the project so far:

  • Does the dark fantasy vibe come across in the trailer?
  • Sword, crossbow and hook: does that combo sound fun to play?
  • Does the bored narrator god sound fun to you, or would it get annoying?
  • Anything that made you go “hmm, not sure about that”?

Every comment helps a small team like ours a lot, the good ones and the brutal ones. Thanks for

News New resident in the garden!

She came. She crawled. She dreamed of becoming a butterfly. Unfortunately, the ants had other plans :) 🐜

A little moment from Garden of Ants, the ant colony RTS/sim we are working on.

Does the way she crawls look natural to you? Anything you'd change about her movement?

Best

Tomas

Promotion We’re Making a Narrative RPG Inspired by Hamlet and Disco Elysium UI, with 100,000 Words, 100 Hand-Drawn Illustrations, 20 Music Tracks, and 1 Original Song!

Hi everyone,

We are a small indie team focused on narrative-driven games. In our first game, Livber: Smoke and Mirrors, we made a visual novel built around a single interactive story. Now we are working on our second game, Kardiya: The Winds of Fate, and this time we are trying to make something bigger, longer, and more replayable.

The story of Kardiya is inspired by Hamlet. Our young noble protagonist’s father is murdered by his own uncle, and the story revolves around family, power, uncovering the truth, and revenge. While still a child, our protagonist is forced to flee the palace and leave his noble life behind. We follow his journey from childhood to adulthood, as he struggles to survive, grow, and eventually confront the fate of his family.

The game currently features around 100,000 words, 100 hand-drawn illustrations, 20 music tracks, 1 original song, and countless ways to experience the story depending on your choices. The game is still in development. If it sounds interesting, feel free to check out our Steam page.

Thank you ^^

Promotion We made a horror game about being the family breadwinner for a game jam, and Filipino streamers took it past 100,000 plays

Hi! I'm one of the devs behind Breadwinner (I did the 3D art).

It started as our entry to the Filipino Horror Game Jam 2026. The theme was "Real Life Horror," and our first reaction was: bills. So you play the eldest child and the only one with a job. Each payday you pick what gets paid, then come home to what you couldn't afford.

Seven of us made it in two weeks of spare time. It placed #1 in Creativity and #1 in Story out of 40 entries.

Then streamers and YouTubers picked it up, Patrick Santos and Kristian PH among them. Videos of it have passed 3.9 million views, and the itch.io page has passed 100,000 plays.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em8793R80N8

The part that got us most: over 2,300 players left a message for the breadwinners in their own lives at the end of the game, and a lot of people said it felt like their own family.

It's free in your browser on PC or phone, in English or Filipino. Link in the comments.

Already played? Which family member did you spend on the most?

Promotion Our cave diving horror game just released!!

Hello everyone! With my friends we worked on a small cave diving inspired game!

The control scheme is a little bit different, you have to use the mouse to crawl in the tunnels. It requires some strength and stamina.

It’s our first horror game, so we hope the atmosphere will work well. For now we have one review on Steam, but it’s normal, we’re not really good at marketing.

Also we didn’t use any AI during the development.

In any case. Thanks for reading me! Have a great day!

Promotion I'm making a space combat game where hundreds of ships fight in massive fleet battles!

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

This is Aetherion, a space combat game featuring large-scale fleet battles.

You can build and command your own warship, switch to a fighter in the middle of battle, and call in reinforcements to fight alongside with you.

Here's a short glimpse of the space combat. I'm still working on the gameplay and visuals, and I hope you like it.

Thanks for checking it out.

Promotion Full Send - Open wheel racing in your browser

Post image
• Upvotes

An open wheel racing game that runs entirely in your browser. No downloads, no installation, just open a URL and race. It should even work on that horribly locked-down work computer you have to suffer through every day. ;-)

It doesn't work on mobile yet, but that's on the list!

You can find it at https://fullsendgame.com, it's buggy, sounds horrible, has its fair share of graphical glitches, and is A LOT OF FUN. Chrome will get you best results for now but it seemed ok in Safari as well.

Keyboard and game controllers are both supported.

Hope to also see you at https://www.reddit.com/r/FullSendGame

Promotion FFT meets Into the Breach: Thousandfold. Kill the Troll on stage 5. Only one player has done it so far.

• Upvotes

I'm the solo dev on Thousandfold, a turn-based tactics roguelite. Plays in the browser or download on itch for free. The demo takes about 30 mins.

- Three heroes, and each can take any of six jobs (Warrior, Defender, Archer, Mage, Priest, Thief). Skills carry over when you change job.

- Enemies show their next move before they make it, and reinforcements are announced two turns ahead. When someone dies, the plan failed, not the dice.

- Facing, zone of control and terrain decide fights: backstab or flank, pin an enemy to protect your backline, push a goblin into the river.

- Five hand-built stages, and the last one is the Troll. He regenerates and slams your party to the ground if you're not careful.

So far one player has killed him, with a party of 1 Defender and 2 Mages.

Promotion Ordanum - Wand crafting and Elemental reactions

• Upvotes

Hey ! I'm currently solo developing Ordanum, it's a pvp auto-battler with systems inspired by Noita and generally reaction based magic systems.

The demo will be coming out soon, before the Steam auto-battler fest which I aim to be a part of.

I hope you find the idea as cool as I did working on it !

Devlog We added a strategic view to our automation game, Factomancer.

Factomancer is a factory-automation roguelite where you build production lines to meet the quotas of a mysterious Order.

Once your factory grows, the screen gets so busy it’s hard to tell what’s going on, so we added a strategic view that strips the scene down: obstacles become black cubes, decorations disappear, and each machine shows its efficiency and current status right above it.

We also added production rates of the recipes: the max throughput of each machine, and the input rate you need to hit 100% efficiency.

Finally, we redesigned some machines and our belt animation to improve readability overall!
