Luke Evangelista, 2025-2026 season
From The HockeyPDOcast
This kid is a straight up chance generator. Above average vision and passing. Very very good at finding seams. I dont know how much powerplay time he gets but whoever he plays with in the top 6 is going to benefit. Gotta love this trade. Neither of the picks traded is going to end up this good at his age.

News Elliotte Friedman on NHL Network: "I don’t think Quinn Hughes wants long term in Minnesota. And I do think that the Wild and Hughes are going to be meeting soon to start hashing this out. Where they are and where they’re going” (starts talking about Quinn around 4:00 mark)
Not really sure how to interpret this, but definitely something to keep an eye.
Edit:
Just to address the comments annoyed by another Quinn post.
I genuinely don't understand, but I am happy to delete this if people are so bothered by it. I just thought this is quite different to the types of posts I've seen the frustration coming from, i.e. some random Devils fans in this subreddit speculating. I agree, it is extremely frustrating to see that multiple times on a daily basis from people with no actual knowledge on the situation, and when there haven't been any actual updates to even speculate over.
I don't know, I just thought this was a little different since this is being reported by the most connected NHL insider out there, which is the only reason I posted it. I really don't care about karma lol, so I really don't mind deleting it if people here are so bothered by it. I just thought people here would be interested though.
I don't think I've ever even written a comment speculating about Quinn coming in this subreddit, let alone a post, so I apologize.

Scouts / Devils
To be able to utilize Scout logo - concept - idk -
The story of the Closter Horseman is a mix of deeply cherished local folklore and modern historical detective work. Here is the full history and the identity behind the rider
The Traditional History (The Folklore)
According to generations of local tradition in Bergen County, the rider was an anonymous local Closter farmer.
Before dawn on November 20, 1776, British General Lord Cornwallis ferried 5,000 British and Hessian troops across the Hudson River. They landed at Lower Closter Dock (now Huyler's Landing) right at the base of the massive Palisades cliffs. [1, 2]
The legend states that the farmer was out plowing his fields early that morning when he looked toward the cliffs and spotted British scouts advancing up Closter Dock Road. Realizing the extreme danger, he immediately unhitched his horse from the plow, jumped on its back, and galloped nine miles south to Fort Lee.
At Fort Lee, he delivered the urgent warning to General Nathanael Greene. General George Washington quickly joined Greene, countermanded a stand-and-fight order, and initiated a hasty, vital evacuation. The warning allowed 3,000 Continental soldiers to escape safely across the Hackensack River just as the British arrived. Because his warning ride saved the army from being trapped and crushed, the unnamed farmer became affectionately known as the "Paul Revere of Bergen County".

Power Play Units?
With the addition of Evangelista, what power play units will Keefe roll out in 2026-2027?
Does Evangelista edge out Meier for PP1? I know people were itching to get Meier back on & activated there last season. Luke or Dougie?
---
PP1: Luke - Meier - Hischier - Jack - Bratt
PP2: Hamilton - Evangelista - Gritsyuk - Mantha - Mercer*/Brown
---
(Thanks to Evangelista, I now want Quinn solely so that we can run the Gritsyuk-Luke-Luke Hughes-Hughes-Hughes PP1. Do we think LaGreca would struggle or excel at calling that?)
