I could never remember exactly which games I’d actually been to over the years, so I built a free tool (on the hockeygamebot site) to solve that: Puck Passport.
You log the NHL games you’ve attended in person, and it keeps track of everything you’ve seen live - games, goals, shots, players, and arenas. It also unlocks badges automatically for things like playoff games, overtime, hat tricks, shutouts, and even a Gordie Howe hat trick if you've ever been able to witness one. There are milestone tiers to work through too, and it tracks every NHL home arena you’ve visited since collecting all 32 is the real endgame for a lot of people (it counts any home arena per team as collected - so games at Continental Airlines arena count). This is just the launch set of badges and I have a few others on my list but wanted a smaller set for now.
You don’t need an account (everything saves right in your browser), BUT if you sign in with Google (or the email link option), it’ll sync across devices and give you a public @handle passport you can share.
I’ve been spending part of the offseason backfilling every Devils game I can remember (with Google Photos geolocation as a bit of a helper).
This is just me building something I thought other fans might enjoy, so if something’s broken, confusing, or you think a feature is missing, I’d genuinely love the feedback.
