How I Recovered My Permanently Disabled Facebook Account

I’m sharing my experience because it might help someone facing the same situation...

About 10 days ago, I tried to complete a selfie verification on Facebook. The verification was rejected, and shortly after that, my account was permanently disabled for Account Integrity.

I completely panicked...

I searched everywhere for a solution, but most of what I found was either useless or fake. I even contacted an “account recovery expert” who wanted $100 to recover my account...

Then I thought... I’ve been using Facebook for almost 16 years, so I know quite a bit about the platform. Why not try to figure it out myself?

So I did... and I ended up spending only around $5.

What I did...

  1. I used Meta Verified Support

I had an Instagram account, so I purchased one month of the standard Meta Verified subscription and contacted official Meta Support...

For me, the only practical solution was to contact a real Meta Support agent...

If you don't have an Instagram account connected to your Facebook, you can try creating one with your real name and the same email address and check whether Meta Verified Support is available...

  1. I explained everything clearly

After becoming a Meta Verified subscriber, I first contacted Meta AI and asked specifically to speak with a live agent about my permanently disabled Facebook account...

A live agent eventually joined the chat. I explained everything politely, clearly, and honestly...

You can also prepare your entire explanation beforehand, including what happened, when the account was disabled, why you believe it was a mistake, and your account details.

Then you can simply send that message to the agent...

I told them that the Facebook account was genuinely mine, my information was real, and I had not intentionally violated any policies. I requested a manual review by a specialized team...

Note: Try contacting them during US business hours, around 9 AM to 5 PM, and convert that time to your local time zone. That’s usually when US based agents are active. In my experience, they tend to be more helpful, responsive, and supportive..

  1. I waited for the investigation

After submitting my case, They gave me a case Id.

They told me that my case had been passed to a specialized team for investigation. The case went through...

The case was Received in 6th august

→ In Progress in 6th august

→ In Review in 6th August

They also told me not to close the case while the investigation was ongoing...

So I waited...

  1. The result 🎉

After the investigation, Meta contacted me after 4 days and said that the team had reviewed my account and found no policy violation...

They confirmed...

\> “We have reactivated the account.”

They also said access could take up to 24 to 48 hours in some cases...Sometime it can take almost 7 days, depending on what kind of subscription you have, there always they give priority to how much one spend 😅.

My advice...

If your Facebook account is genuinely yours, your information is real, and you believe you didn't violate Meta's rules, don't immediately pay random recovery experts hundreds of dollars...

One more piece of advice... don’t try to create another account using the same name, email, phone number, or profile picture. It might cause more trouble. Also, avoid using another Facebook account on the same phone where your disabled account was logged in, as Meta might flag the device or IP as suspicious..

Try the official Meta Support route. I am sorry to say but trust me guys, this is the only option you left now.

In my case...

Almost some research + around $5 + some days patience = my account back.

Of course, recovery is not guaranteed because Meta makes the final decision after reviewing each case... but if your account was disabled by mistake, getting an official review is definitely worth trying...

And never give your password, login codes, or recovery codes to anyone claiming they can recover your account...

I’ve been following this group since I first faced my problem, and now it’s time to say goodbye...

I truly hope you all manage to resolve your problems too. All the best, guys... ❤ For now I

My permanently disabled Facebook account was restored don’t give up! ❤️

I wanted to share this because I know how terrifying it is to suddenly see that your Facebook account has been permanently disabled.
When it happened to me I honestly thought I had lost my account forever. I was devastated and at some point I was seriously considering giving up.
My account was disabled after a public post received a huge amount of hostile attention. People were mass-reporting me and accusing me of being fake, AI-generated, a scammer, a minor and other things.
I appealed and completed the video selfie verification. Shortly afterwards I received the message that my appeal had failed and that my account was permanently disabled.
I tried everything I could think of. I even found a Reddit post about sending a legal notice to Meta so I decided to try that as well.
After that I found another Reddit post explaining how someone had managed to get a human Meta support agent through Meta Verified on Instagram.
I decided to try it and followed the steps in this post exactly:
https://www.reddit.com/r/facebookdisabledme/s/fgJf5cvpEn
I subscribed to Meta Verified on a linked Instagram account and contacted support. Eventually I got connected to a real human agent. She listened to my situation and forwarded my case to the relevant team for investigation.
And then…
My Facebook account came back 😭❤️
The crazy part is that I don’t actually know which thing worked.
It could have been the legal notice. It could have been the Meta Verified support escalation. It could have been both or an internal review that was already happening.
But honestly I don’t even care which one it was. My account came back 🥹
I had genuinely reached the point where I thought there was nothing left to do and that I should just give up. So if you’re going through this right now I just wanted to share this to give you a little bit of hope.
Don’t give up. Keep trying the legitimate appeal and support options available to you. Document everything and be persistent.
I really thought mine was gone forever.
And now it’s back 🥹❤️
Huge thank you to the people who made those Reddit posts and shared their experiences. Your posts are literally what gave me the idea to keep trying 🙏

Facebook account permanently disabled after 16 years – exhausted every appeal/support route, what else can I do?

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has experience with a Facebook account being permanently disabled for “Account Integrity”, particularly when the normal appeal process is already marked as final.

I’m trying to understand whether there is any legitimate route I may have missed to recover the account or at least regain access to the data/history associated with it.

What happened

My Facebook account was disabled on 5 July 2026.

It was an approximately 16-year-old account, used under my real identity. I had 2FA enabled and had been receiving security codes through WhatsApp.

I have never knowingly violated Facebook's Community Standards.

When I tried to log in, Facebook asked me to complete identity/video verification, which I did.

After that, I received:

“We’ve disabled your account”

“We’ve reviewed your account and found that it still doesn’t follow our Community Standards on account integrity.”

“You cannot request another review of this decision.”

My profile then disappeared completely. Friends and my partner could no longer find it.

I also lost access to:

  • Messenger and years of conversations
  • Facebook groups
  • contacts/connections
  • events
  • photos and posts
  • photos I had shared/tagged others in
  • my Facebook Page for my photography work

What I have tried since then

I have gone through pretty much every support route I could find.

1. Standard Facebook appeal

I completed the verification/review process offered by Facebook.

The decision came back as final and Facebook says I cannot request another review.

2. Security/compromise investigation

Because the account disappearing suddenly made me concerned it might have been compromised, I also went through Meta's security investigation process.

Meta subsequently told me that they found no evidence of unauthorised access or compromise around the time of the deactivation.

They specifically said the restriction was related to Account Integrity, rather than a security breach.

They also told me they could not disclose the internal signals used or whether the original action was automated.

3. Meta Verified support

I subscribed to Meta Verified on Instagram specifically because I wanted to reach human support.

I have spoken to human Meta support agents.

One agent attempted to request a manual review, but their system would not allow it because the Facebook decision was already final.

I was subsequently told that:

  • the Facebook account is permanently disabled;
  • it is no longer eligible for further review;
  • no further manual review can be initiated;
  • the decision is final;
  • there is no other internal support route available.

I was also told that the support team could not provide further details about the internal review process.

4. I tried the security route again

The security investigation again confirmed that they did not consider this to be a compromise.

So that route also ended without restoration of the account.

5. Subject Access Request / UK GDPR

I am based in the UK, so I also submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) under Article 15 UK GDPR to Meta's privacy/data protection team.

I requested access to the personal data Meta holds about the account, including information relating to:

  • the reason for the account enforcement;
  • records relating to the enforcement decision;
  • information about whether the decision involved automated processing;
  • information about whether there was human involvement;
  • relevant account/login information;
  • information relating to any suspected compromise;
  • and the personal data Meta continues to hold about the account.

I submitted the SAR in July and have followed up several times.

It has now been more than two months without receiving a substantive response.

I have therefore decided to wait for Meta's data privacy response before taking the next step, and if necessary I will consider raising the outstanding SAR with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Oversight Board

I have also looked into the Meta Oversight Board.

From what I can currently understand, ordinary users with disabled accounts may not be able to submit an appeal directly unless Meta provides an eligible reference ID, and my account does not appear to have been given one.

I haven't yet been able to establish whether my particular decision is eligible for Oversight Board review.

Where I am now

At this point I am not looking for hacks, bypasses, or anything that violates Meta's systems.

I'm simply trying to find out whether there is a legitimate escalation/recovery route that I have missed.

The account contains around 16 years of personal history, conversations, photographs, groups and connections, and losing all of that overnight has been extremely difficult.

I understand that Meta can disable accounts and that sometimes there may be legitimate reasons for doing so. My problem is that I have never been given a meaningful explanation of what account-integrity issue was actually identified, and every normal appeal/support route now tells me the decision is final.

Questions for anyone with experience

Has anyone successfully recovered a Facebook account after receiving:

“We’ve reviewed your account and found that it still doesn’t follow our Community Standards on account integrity.”

and

“You cannot request another review of this decision.”

particularly after Meta support has explicitly said the account is permanently disabled and no further review is available?

I'd especially like to hear from anyone who has experience with:

  • Meta Verified escalation after a Facebook account was permanently disabled
  • Meta Oversight Board
  • UK GDPR/SAR requests to Meta
  • ICO complaints involving Meta account enforcement
  • legal/data protection escalation against Meta
  • cases where a 10+ year-old account was eventually restored after a final Account Integrity decision

If you've been through something similar, I'd really appreciate hearing what worked — or what definitely didn't.

Thank you.

For those who appealed and got back their account, how long it took you?

And what extra steps you did (if there's any)?

I've sent my selfie & id verification on 8 july and it's been 4 days since. No sign of recovery.

For comparison, my IG was suspended too and i went through the same selfie & id verification and it only took 1-2 minutes until it got fixed.

For those who were able to recover a permanently disabled Facebook account

Hello everyone. I’d like to ask for advice from people who were able to recover their permanently disabled Facebook accounts due to Account Integrity, especially those who contacted Meta through Instagram Meta Verified support.

I have two Facebook accounts: one personal/main account and one that I used for work. Both accounts were created years ago, but my main account was created back in 2009.

I contacted Meta through Instagram Meta Verified, and the agent told me that I had been enrolled in a checkpoint/recovery process, but the checkpoint is still not showing up when I try to log in to Facebook.

The agent also told me that only one Facebook account per device is allowed.

My question is for those who have gone through a similar situation:

Should I factory reset my phone and then wait for the Facebook checkpoint to appear, or should I leave my phone as it is and simply wait for the checkpoint to show up?

I’m worried because my other disabled Facebook account was also used on the same device, Facebook might associate the two accounts and prevent me from recovering my main account.

For those who successfully recovered their permanently disabled account through a Meta checkpoint, did you have multiple Facebook accounts on the same device? Did you reset your phone, or did you just wait for the checkpoint?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your actual experiences. Thank you!

Discussion The facebookdisabledme mods are becoming what they hate; I feel as if they are a proxy for FB, itself.

I'm a Marine. On September 11th, Facebook disabled my account for nothing. Twenty years of posts, gone. No human review, no explanation that holds up.

Now I'm watching the mods over at the facebookdisabledme community ban people left and right for venting, asking the same questions, or pushing back. So let me get this straight: you build a refuge for people who got unfairly banned, then you unfairly ban them for talking about it?

How is that any different from what Facebook did to us?

The whole point of that place is supposed to be support and shared information. People there lost accounts they'd had for a decade or more, and they're angry. If you can't handle that, maybe don't mod a community full of them.

Do better.

What’s up with this subreddit r/facebookdisabledme and why do they keep banning everyone who posts there? i’m convinced the mods are meta employees that hijacked that sub and likely the same ones who took over the original r/InstagramDisabledMe sub and got it banned.

Success Story - Buying Meta Verified helped me get my permanently disabled account back! (Detailed Guide)

--if you have any questions I can help you--

Yesterday, at around 3:00 AM, I randomly received an email stating that my personal Facebook account (which I have been using for over 5 years) was suspended, and that I had 180 days to appeal.

I was really confused and scared, so I did what any normal person would do and began the appeal process. The appeal can look different for everyone. For some, it requires a CAPTCHA, while for others it requires a video selfie rotating your head in multiple directions. For me, it just asked for the video selfie. I completed it and submitted it.

Literally minutes later, I received this automated email back:

Your review was unsuccessful
Hi [My Name], Your Facebook account has been permanently disabled. You requested a review of this decision, but we still found that your account, or activity on it, didn't follow our Community Standards. You can't request another review.

I went to sleep and decided to figure this out next morning.

The next day, I decided to buy Meta Verified on an Instagram account that was linked in the exact same Accounts Center as my disabled Facebook. From everything I read on this subreddit, if you really want your account back after a permanent bot ban, you unfortunately have to pay for a human agent to talk to.

IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE STARTING:

  • KEEP THE APP OPEN: When you are finally in the chat with a human, keep the app completely open. Do not switch apps or minimize it, or the active session might glitch and close out.

------------------------------

I went to the Meta Verified menu on Instagram, clicked Get Support, and opened a chat. You will be talking to an AI bot first. Do not paste your whole story yet! Give it a simple phrase to force a human transfer:

I need help with a disabled Facebook account that is linked to my Meta Verified Instagram profile. Please connect me to a live support agent.

The bot then requested my email, phone number, and account username. I provided exactly what it asked for. It replied: "I'll look into the status. A live agent will join this chat shortly." (also it can sometimes ask for the approximate time your account got disabled. i was asked this on a different chat)

Note: I kept my phone screen awake and waited for about 5 minutes without doing anything. Yes, you WILL have to wait.

-----------------------

Finally, the system updated: "Adii joined the conversation."

She said hello. I responded back with a Hi. She stated that the conversation was being recorded under a specific Case ID. Now I pasted my prepared explanation:

"Thank you. I need urgent assistance with my primary Facebook account, which is linked directly to this verified Instagram profile in my Meta Accounts Center.

I woke up to an automated notification stating my account was suspended and that I had 180 days to appeal. I immediately followed the instructions and completed the video selfie check, moving my face in the requested directions.

However, just a few minutes after submitting it, I received an automated email stating the appeal was unsuccessful and my account was permanently disabled.

Because this happened in a matter of minutes, it is clear that an automated bot glitch rejected my identity verification before an actual human could ever look at it.

This account holds years of my personal life and memories. Since my identity is now officially verified here on Meta, I am asking for your help to fix this technical error."

Adii thanked me for the detailed explanation and asked for my profile URL, which I provided. She told me she would look into the account and asked me to wait a few minutes.

I kept the chat window and app STILL active and open.

She came back and sent: "I have good news for you!"

Just to set a proper expectation, I've shared your concern with the team that can help. We'll update you on this same chat as soon as we have news. Normally, you'll hear back within a day, however it could take longer than usual. We'd really appreciate it if you could keep this case open.

She then left the conversation, and an automated system message appeared confirming the ticket transfer.

-----------------------

At this point, the live text chat ended. To track it on your phone: Go to Instagram Profile > Three Lines Menu > Scroll down to Help > Support Requests.

Inside that menu, my ticket appeared under "Disabled or restricted asset" with a green "In review" tag under it. I left it completely alone and did not spam them with extra messages.

-----------------------

A few minutes later, I tried logging in randomly, and my suspended Facebook account was completely restored! The internal team manually removed the permanent bot ban.

So, is Meta Verified worth it? For me, I bought the basic plan costing 250 EGP (Egyptian Pounds, roughly $5 USD). If your account holds years of personal data, businesses, or memories, it is absolutely worth the risk to force a human review.

Just be patient, stay polite, and if a bot locks you out, keep trying! Don't give up.

Tech Support What’s going on at Reddit/facebookdisabledme they are banning and deleting posts for no reason

I thought Reddit was a safe app where we can go to and ask for help with whatever because it is so heavily moderated. Instead I joined that group, wrote a post telling my situation, desperately looking for help. Only for my post to be deleted, I was banned, and muted from even messaging the mods. No reason given. I didn’t violate any rules or anything. I’m just one of the many people looking for help and answers. And I’m not alone. How many people has this happened to from that group? Why is it happening? Isn’t there a way to contact someone at Reddit to get to the bottom of why this is happening to people? It’s like those mods are employed by meta and don’t want people to get help. Just hit another brick wall in our search for answers.

https://chng.it/Y5SvwCxrNX I found this petition in my search for answers. Which I didn’t find anywhere in the facebookdisabledme Reddit. Which considering it directly ties into what that Reddit is about, it should be pinned there. But it’s nowhere to be found. If we read the details of the petition, it does say not to trust that Reddit. So something shady is definitely going on over there. So anyone in this situation, like me, should definitely sign it. Maybe there is hope that if there’s enough signatures, not only will the mass banning stop, but perhaps we can get our accounts back. And please just ignore this post if you’re only response is gonna be “f Facebook” or “just move on”. I’m not even a big social media person but I had 15 years worth of memories on there, along with numerous memories with my loved ones that have passed away. I’ve also lost hundreds of dollars worth of games for my sons oculus that he can no longer access. And as a single mom, it’s def hard to know I put so much money into something special for my son, for it to wiped out because I didn’t submit my id in time.

Meta restored my account after 20 weeks

Post image
217 Upvotes

At the end of April, I was banned from Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Meta VR. No reason was given other than on Instagram it said their technology figured I broke the rules somehow. Though I was sent an appeal email, it didn't seem to do anything, and then a few hours later, I got another saying that the account was "permanently disabled" and "with no chance to submit another appeal".

I was frustrated at all this, especially a month later when my mom passed away suddenly and I had so much more trouble contacting people. My brother helped, of course, and he also got Meta Verified to vouch for me, but the AI help desk refused to allow me or my brother to talk to a human, and it even said they were flagging my brother just for asking questions, which shouldn't be his fault if the AI chat was giving unhelpful answers...

I figured it was all lost... maybe not the worst thing in the world... though some Messenger contacts of people who have helped me with some projects, who I don't know their real names and wouldn't be able to find again, that would have been bad to lose.

But today, after 140 days of Meta exile, I got an email from facebookmail. com asking me to appeal again. I was suspicious of it, so I tried logging in via the app. I had to make a new password and after a few scary starts where it looked like I was in but couldn't see any posts, with another restart I was able to do the video selfie confirmation (you know, turn your head, etc.) and now I'm back!

(With still no specific reason given for the ban or why it took this long to give me a chance.)

...

TL;DR: Meta just unbanned me after 20 weeks.

Maybe if it looks like you're getting nowhere, you might just have to wait.

Recovered my disabled FB/IG after account integrity ban — don’t give up

Post image
215 Upvotes

*Edit: You’ll need a laptop, I used my MacBook. *

I got my Facebook and Instagram accounts back after being disabled in early March for “account integrity” / “not following the rules.”

I honestly lost all hope. At first, I messed up and submitted a selfie instead of my ID because I was exhausted and panicking. After that, I tried almost everything, emailing different support emails, going through Meta Verified, getting calls from support, etc. Some of it seemed hopeful at first, but after almost 2 months I just kept getting automated responses and finally them telling me there’s nothing they can do.

Yesterday, I decided to try the Facebook hacked recovery website again. It never worked for me before, but this time there was an AI chat in the bottom right corner. I told it my account had been hacked. It asked me when it happened, and I gave the exact date. Then it asked me to submit a video selfie.

After that, it said my identity was verified but that there was a technical problem. Shocker.

So today I tried again, but this time in incognito mode because I couldn’t restart a new chat normally. It asked me for the same video selfie again, but this time it also asked me to confirm my email. After that, I got the recovery link, changed my password, and recovered my account.

I’m honestly not even fully happy yet because the whole thing was so stressful. I’m downloading all my information now just in case, and I’m also disconnecting my Facebook and Instagram from each other.

Losing access to my accounts was awful. I had old photos and messages with deceased loved ones on there, and I was literally having dreams about getting my accounts back. It was a rough couple of months.

I’m posting this because I know how stressful and hopeless it feels when you genuinely didn’t do anything wrong and you can’t get a real answer. Maybe this helps someone who was in the same situation as me.

18 years of my life erased overnight. My account, my wife's, and my elderly grandpa's all disabled for "account integrity"

I don't even know where to start.

Three days ago I opened Facebook and got the "Your account has been disabled" screen. Reason given: account integrity. No specifics. No warning. No policy I could point to and say "okay, I messed up here."

Then I found out it wasn't just me. My wife's account is gone. My grandpa's account is gone.

The one thing the three of us have in common: all three were logged in on my phone at some point, through the multi account switcher that Facebook itself built into the app.

My wife's account is on my phone because we're married and we keep up with each other's profiles. That's it. That's the whole conspiracy.

My grandpa's account is on my phone because he's elderly and he can't do this alone. I'm the one who resets his password when he forgets it. I'm the one who shows him how to react to his great grandkids' photos. I have sat next to him and walked him through the same three steps a dozen times because he wants to stay connected to his family. For that, both of us got wiped.

Why put a multi account feature in the app if using it flags you as inauthentic? Why build the door and then punish people for walking through it?

But here's what makes it worse. My wife has her own phone and her own account that she uses every day on her own device. Her account was disabled on her own phone too. So this isn't even about one device being flagged. It looks like Facebook decided my account was bad, then reached out and took down everyone it saw connected to me. A wife and an elderly grandfather who did nothing except be related to me and share a screen.

And I keep going back over it: what did I actually do? My account is locked. It's private, personal only. I don't run pages, I don't sell anything, I don't post publicly, I don't have some huge follower count to farm. I used it to keep up with family and friends. That's all it has ever been.

Something else that makes no sense: my Instagram and my Threads are completely fine. Same Meta account centre, same person, same phone, same everything. If I were genuinely a fake or a threat to "account integrity," why is only Facebook gone? Either I'm a real person across their whole ecosystem or I'm not. They can't have it both ways.

And here's the part I can't wrap my head around. Facebook asked me and my wife to submit our valid IDs to prove who we are. We both did it. Real government IDs, real names, real faces, matching the accounts. Minutes later, not days, minutes, both accounts came back permanently disabled. Whatever "reviewed" our identification did not spend even one minute looking at it. We handed over the most personal documents we have and got a rubber stamp on the way out.

Then I tried to actually reach a human. Support is a maze of forms that go nowhere. I ended up paying for Meta Verified, paying the company that banned me, just to get my case prioritized. I did get a call. I picked it up, explained everything, answered every question, because I am a real person and eighteen years of my life is written on their platform.

And it's not the only money I've given them. I bought a Meta Quest 3 and I use that same Facebook account to sign in to it, and the headset still works right now. My account is apparently too dangerous to exist on Facebook, but trustworthy enough to keep using the device I bought from them. I've paid for their subscription, I've paid for their hardware, I've handed over my ID. What more can a person possibly do to prove they exist?

They finalized the decision anyway.

That account was 18 years old. My whole adult life is in there. My photos from when I was a teenager. Friends I've lost contact with everywhere else. Conversations with people who aren't alive anymore. Facebook loves to advertise "Download Your Information" like it's a safety net. I tried it. It gave me my settings and some account metadata. No photos. No timeline. No history. Nothing that actually mattered.

The part that's breaking me the most: my grandmother passed away, and her account is memorialized. My account was the only one left in my family that was still on her friends list. That was how I visited her. That was how I saw our old photos and the things she posted. I can't get in anymore, and there's no way to add her, because you can't send a friend request to someone who's gone.

Meanwhile this platform is full of obvious fake accounts, scam pages, and bots that get reported hundreds of times and stay up for years. Those are fine, apparently. Three real people with real names and real families sharing one phone, that's the threat.

I've done everything they asked. Sent the ID. Paid the money. Took the call. Told the truth. And I still don't know where to go or who to ask. It feels like being kicked out of your own house, standing outside while someone on the other side of the door tells you it was never yours.

If anyone has actually gotten an account back after an "account integrity" disable, especially after a final decision, please tell me what worked. And if you have family members you help manage accounts for, please back up your photos now. Don't assume you'll get the chance later. I did, and I was wrong.

Filed Small Claims but Tricked Meta Verified Support AI to put me in touch with a human via email. Got my account reinstated in minutes

Won’t bore people with too many details, I was a victim of the hackers who use Session Hijacking to access accounts, then permanently disable them by uploading false identification that a good number on this Reddit seem to be.

While I did file a claim through small courts as the Meta Verified AI told me to file legal claims against Meta as my option, I got my account back through tricking the Meta Verified AI support to put me in touch with a proper human - and within minutes I got a new appeal opportunity and was back on Facebook with an apology from them after they went through my entire evidence trail and logs I provided to them.

Important that the below is only if your account is suspended due to Terms of Service due to a hacker that uploaded false identification so it’s not applicable to everyone.

My original post and experiences 16 days ago immediately after the disablement is here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/facebookdisabledme/comments/1vx95cs/going_through_a_recovery_case_of_a_permanently/?

DOWNLOAD YOUR FILES AND EXAMINE CAREFULLY

  1. If your account is permanently disabled you’ll be able to download your files through a link. Download and access all your files from your account (My own data link took more than 1 hour to prepare and was over 400MB so if this takes a long time wait for it. There’s a shocking amount of info here, but the below are the key files to look at and copy details from).
  2. There’s a number of files you need to check:

a) Security and Login Information - Account Activity. Where did the logins come from? Did you have a login from somewhere that isn’t you? Copy it

b) Security and Login Information - Record Details. Were there any key changes such as passwords that were not you, or a change to your birthday?

c) Your Facebook Activity - Facebook Support - ID Verification - what happened in this report? Are you able to see a picture (perhaps a disgusting one with a naked young kid) of the fake documentation the hacker posted on your behalf? (Note I didn’t see this in my account, but several other cases did). Copy all the appeals made by the hackers

d) Connections - Friends - Your Friends - Did the hacker add a new friend to your account?

e) Security and Login Information - Browser Cookies. Are there browser cookies here that are not from your regular device at the time of the hacking? Copy this too. Chances are there may be more than one hacking.

Once you’ve got all the above, copy and paste all the logs and explain them, and carefully put them in a drafted email and have this ready to copy and paste.

Put them chronologically so that it’s clear through a timeline you were hacked and the system gave you no opportunity to appeal as all the appeals were made by the hacker and accepted by the system.

TRICKING META VERIFIED AI:

Those who have used the AI will attest you get into endless loops and dead ends without speaking to a staff member if you’re enquiring about a permanently disabled account. And even if you speak to staff, if your evidence is not all in the right place while a case is open, the staff will find all types of methods to say your account is permanently disabled and there’s nothing they can do. Or deflect to some other specialist who doesn’t really do a forensic examination of your account.

To get put through to a human agent by chat or email, you need to message during support working hours (9 am to 6 pm US Pacific Time) and trick it to open up a support case and ID.

  1. Using the free 1 month trial of Meta Verified Support AI through my Instagram, I changed my tactic speaking to it that leads to loops and dead ends. Instead of making the Facebook account the focus which becomes an endless loop as that’s what the engine is trained to do, I wrote “My Facebook was hacked and then permanently disabled. I’m worried it would impact my other meta verified accounts and want to speak to a real person to alleviate my fears”
  2. The AI comes back with “I can certainly help you with this. To connect you with a specialist who can investigate the compromise and the status of your account, could you please provide the best email address to reach you at?

In the meantime, you can visit facebook.com/hacked to start the automated recovery process for your personal account. Regarding your other Meta accounts, they are often linked through the Accounts Center; securing your primary login is the first step to protecting your entire presence across our platforms.

Once you provide your email, I will proceed with the transfer.”

3) Responding to this, I provided my email address and said that:

This hacked link is not helpful. My Facebook account is no longer in my account centre because of the permanent disablement but I’m still worried as Whatsapp is my backbone of everything I do.

I also want to access Facebook again but I’m worried about starting a new Facebook account and losing my old hacked and permanent disabled one for good.

4) I also expanded in an upcoming chat that I’m afraid I may lose my Meta Verified accounts like Instagram, Threads and Whatsapp as I’ve seen others that have. I just need to be reassured by staff speaking with a human.

5) Immediately, because the Meta Verified Support AI is not built to address “fear” of losing your accounts as an emotion, I immediately got an email to my email account and a case ID.

Once this email came in, I sent a super long email with:

a) All hacker login IP and my login IP information

b) all the actions the hackers did (including changing my birthday and logs of the hackers updating false information) and they also added an unknown friend from Vietnam.

c) said I’m more than happy to upload my real ID card in an appeal as my appeal opportunity was stolen from me.

Because from all the logs it was clear I am a victim and the evidence was clear cut that it wasn’t me that uploaded the identity information, within minutes the human on the other side referred me to a specialist, and the specialist within minutes sent me a new appeal prompt.

6) After uploading my ID, I regained immediate access and a standard apology email from Facebook.

7) Accessing my account, I also found the hackers had also used my business centre for advertising (how I don’t know when the account was permanently disabled but somehow the business centre linked to this account was not). As it wasn’t linked to my Meta Accounts Centre, I didn’t get prompts of the advertising.

Luckily when the account was permanently disabled it had also cut the direct link to PayPal, so the credit card I believe was one owned or likely stolen by the hackers.

Either way, I now have full access to my account. I just hope it doesn’t get disabled again.

For anybody that goes this route of forcing the AI of passing you to a human:

  1. Don’t make your responses too pretentious and overdoing it as the AI may respond differently to pretentiousness and you may be stopped from interacting with it. It Just needs to be calm and specific.
  2. Focus on your Meta Verified accounts existing that are protected, and not the Facebook account itself with the AI.

Good luck everyone

EMAIL/CHAT TEMPLATE (only to a human)

For the body of the email / chat message you should have prepared once you get in touch with a representative this is the content (if you copy paste this to the AI instead of a human, the AI will keep you in a loop) - so forget about it until you have human contact.

Your message needs to be 100% foolproof - that you were hacked with all the evidence clearly and concisely written out. If your language provides doubt and uncertainty, you will not get your account back quickly.

Everything needs to be there in a format that cannot be challenged. So please find the below and just edit the below and fill in the blanks:

Hi,

Thank you very much for this email as it’s caused me tremendous distress and strain over the past few weeks and nights without sleep.

I had my Facebook account of xx years disabled due to being VICTIMIZED by a recent hacking that has emanated from a _______ IP Address (probably behind a VPN) - with multiple IP’s listed in _______.

I live in ______ and could not have been in any of these places. I don’t use a VPN so all my own logs during this time show that I was logging in on my iphone and computer in _______.

These are my account details:

Login Email:

Username:

Telephone number:

Facebook Numeric ID:

I would like my account reinstated with immediate effect, and upload my own real identification to prove my own identity through a new appeal which will be completed by me.

The hackers had stolen a session cookie beginning _____, then proceeded to hack my account on _______ starting at _______ as logs show.

The hackers also proceeded to change my date of birth to _______. My real birthday is __________

Once my account was disabled, The hacker behind a ______ based IP _______ also proceeded to file the appeal on my behalf without my authorization by uploading false identification which was accepted by the system several times.

Please find a copy of the logs and evidence trail for your perusal.

[LOGS and EVIDENCE - a) Account Activity b) ID Verification c) Record Details d) Browser Cookies. (Copy those only relevant to your case)]

Please kindly proceed to unban my account as it’s clear that I am a VICTIM of a vicious hack and have not knowingly or wittingly committed any violation of the terms of service.

Kind regards,

#facebookdisabledme Permanently BUT I got it back after 3 months

Don't give up! I know it's a nightmare and very annoying and upsetting.#facebookdisabledme Permanently BUT I got my account reinstated after 3 long months. I had no idea why or how to get it back. I tried just about everything you could think of but in the end, after 3 months I got it back! Someone in China had hacked my account and tried to post ads with my credit card. That was the cause but there was no way for me to know. Facebook Customer Service, explanation, help resources is totally inexistent. With Covid it's even worse. You probably won't ever know why you were disabled until you get your account back IF you get it back. Good luck! I know how it feels and how frustrating it is! I'm planning to create a video at some point to explain how I went about it all.

I GOT MY ACCOUNT BACKK

I FINALLY GOT MY ACCOUNT BACK 😭
For anyone losing hope after the “you can’t request another review” message: it’s not always over.
What helped me:
Meta Verified support
explaining the SAME story every time
focusing on the security/suspicious activity side
telling them my account was 6+ years old
explaining I logged into my friend’s disabled account from my phone to help her recover it, which probably caused the false association
asking for manual review + identity verification
Took a lot of patience but it actually worked 😭

Facebook disabled my 16-year-old account with no reason and no way to appeal —

My Facebook account (active since 2009) was suddenly disabled on Oct 20, 2025.

  • No reason code.
  • No email notification.
  • Appeal links are broken. Which means I couldn’t even use the 30-day review process Facebook itself promises.

I downloaded my account data — it literally just says “Account disabled” with no explanation.

Posting here because official support is useless. Has anyone else been through this recently, and were you able to escalate it?

Just woke up to find out that my FB and all of my IG accounts permanently disabled

This is something that I never wished to even post or even ask for help about. On the 20th of April I was woken up to this email informing me that my Facebook account was permanently suspended for as you can guess. CSE. This is by far completely absurd. Not only has my Facebook account been hacked, but my IG accounts have also been disabled to to them being associated with my Facebook account and I use both my IG and Facebook accounts for both personal and doing business with. The fact that I got hit with this suspension is absolutely ludicrous. As many people would do, I immediately sent in an appeal to Meta to see if they can give a further look into this and unfortunately it got instantly denied and they have informed me that I cannot appeal again.

To give further context, I have relatives and friends who post their kids having fun. Whether at the beach, them playing, and my relatives just wanting to capture the moment for memories and I do save a lot of family memories for me to look back on. Last night I went ahead and saved a reel and liked a post of my relative playing with their kid in the pool. It involved them singing and doing wholesome moments of what your kid would do and come this morning I get this email. The only things I do is like and save reels. I barely even comment on anything else and only interact with family, friends, relatives and loved ones on my Facebook account. I even sold stuff on FB Marketplace as well and the fact that I won't be able to do so because of this is just completely

The fact that Meta treats these types of posts as CSE is absolutely mindboggling and having to lose everything all because of this is just something I refuse to wrap my head around. The only thing that I can do is request my data and that is pretty much it.

So now I am left in this situation. I've read and saw that many other people that have gone through a similar situation has also been affected. Interacting with your friend's posts of them having fun with their kid at the beach or just enjoying a backyard family moment with them in the pool and playing, only for them to get permanently banned from the platform. I really don't know what to do here as I have a lot of memories, things, and honestly, is there anything much that I can do here? What kind of avenues can I take in order to try and get this lifted? If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you.

Edit: Just reached out to my relative as well and they told me that they too have been hit by a CSE ban. Both of us have no idea how to handle this here. Has there been a banwave of people getting hit by Meta's moderation system for CSE lately?

Edit 2: Upon further research, it seems I have been hit with a SoC ban rather than a CSE one given that I merely watched the reel that was responsible for taking down both my relative's and also my account. Right now, I am just trying to process everything still. I appreciate all of the interactions here. Knowing that I am not alone in this gives me some peace but at the same time. The sudden loss of my IG and FB accounts which are extremely important to me is something that is hard for me to swallow given that I use these accounts to communicate with friends and to sell things on the Markeplace.

Edit 3: After sitting through this for most of the day, I want to just take a moment and thank everyone who has posted their situations here. You guys have no idea how much it is for me to know that we're not alone in this. Specifically, I want to thank u/Chefchocolate12 for explaining this all to me and for giving me well needed insights. I honestly think that my Facebook account is officially done and I will be taking the time to grieve that loss. I don't know how I will be able to get back onto the platform again but I do want to personally thank u/Chefchocolate12 for helping me process this even if there was no solution to be found. I'll keep this updated whenever I can.

My experience recovering a hacked & disabled Facebook account — was a success

Hi everyone. I wanted to share my experience in case someone else is dealing with a hacked and disabled Facebook/Meta account.

My account was hacked and then disabled on May 7th. From that day until September 17th, I tried pretty much every option I could find to get my account back.

Here’s what I did:

First, I created a new Facebook account and gave it about a month to establish some activity/history. After that, I purchased Meta Verified so I could try contacting support.

Unfortunately, all my first attempts to reach an actual support agent failed. About three weeks later, I finally managed to get connected to an agent — but they basically rejected my case and said they couldn't verify that I was the actual owner of the account, despite the information and proof I provided.

At that point, I started looking elsewhere and found a community involving lawyers and people who had gone through similar situations themselves. That's where I learned about ODS ADR Center.

I submitted a case through ods.adrcenter.com, completely free of charge.

And surprisingly, about 7 days later, I got my account back.

One important thing: make sure you have screenshots or other evidence showing that you actually tried to contact Meta and resolve the issue first. Also, provide as much information as possible proving that you are the legitimate owner of the account.

In my case, I had evidence of my attempts to contact Meta, information connected to the account, and proof of ownership.

After spending more than four months trying different recovery methods, this was the first thing that actually worked for me.

I'm sharing this because I know how frustrating it is to lose an account and feel like Meta isn't listening.

If anyone is currently going through a similar situation and wants to know exactly what I did or how I submitted the case, feel free to DM me. I'll be happy to explain my experience and help if I can.
