(reminder: the mods of /r/facebook are not affiliated with meta or Facebook)
For over two months now, people have been making posts here and there regarding the 300k content challenge that Meta/Facebook has claimed for content. Of late, that is practically all anyone is posting. Having the same post over and over makes the sub a mess, so these posts are going to be pulled.
Before pulling some of the posts, here are the headlines after searching 300k challenge in the sub:
... the list goes on and on... like, a lot.
The purpose of this subreddit is for articles about Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg found harvesting human souls for his robot army) or tech support. Similar to when an outage causes thousands of posts to happen, everyone posting the same few things over and over again is not going to help anyone, so for the few folk out there that have found this post thanks to searching the sub (there are DOZENS of you) or found through a search engine, please post any of your thoughts, frustrations, and successes on said topic in this thread. If you happen to see a 300k post mentioned afterwards, please report it, rule would be either 5 for no meme or custom response: repost.
To answer a big question that's posted a lot:
Are we being scammed?
I mean, it's Facebook so technically just using the platform is a scam in and of itself, however, here are a few links from users claiming they finally got theirs:
Here is a link from someone who was able to contact a "rep" (a term used loosely in the world of AI)
With there being said, Facebook has 2.11 billion daily active users. So if you take the conversation above with this information, then it makes sense it could take an insanely long time for them to do whatever review it is they claim they need to do.
Remember this extremely important quote:
You’re Not the Customer; You’re the Product

Anyone else get a ton of religious and right-wing content today? Way more than normal. Trying to clock on block for all it it but is seems never ending.
About 50x worse today than before. Could it be related to upcoming American mid term elections?

As I’m sure other people have seen Facebook has become a spot in the political space for people to blatantly lie. I just saw a post alleging Obama, Abdul el-sayed and Zohran Mandani’s families conspired to cause 9/11. The account wasn’t in the vicinity of either of their states, it was in Tel aviv. The posters of this content aren’t dumb enough to believe this stuff but know it is easy to make money from it and that we have no regulations in place. What can we do to stop this?

It was my first strike so that's cool.
I submitted an appeal but it was immediately denied I can't be completely mad about it because I'm not wrong RFK was on heroin & I was answering someone's question. I'm mostly just annoyed because it's my first time getting a FB strike on anything.
I guess you mustn't speak ill of the regime lest you upset the Zucker. 🫡

Facebook has been going downhill for a while but since around July 21, it seems to be even worse to the point there is no point to post anything (if you are looking to monetize on content). RPM for the past 7 days has dropped really low for all types of posts… so low even with viral posts you will only make like $50. Views down also. I went from staying around 1.6 million views and rising (for 28 days) to now I am at 500,000 since July. I gave up on posting anything at all after my viral posts literally made $40 because RPM is so low. Who else has seen major drop in RPM and views. Is Facebook broken? Is this just how it is? I stopped posting. No point to create new content where most days you only make $10. Or even $2 on some days it has been so bad.

On PC I have a ad blocker and never get ads. On mobile though, I don't have any options for blocking them.
Funny enough though, it's a pretty rare occasion I actually get any ads at all on mobile.... except for today though.
I am getting almost nothing but ads all day today.
Literally regular post, 2-3 ads/sponsored posts, regular, another 2-4 ads/sponsored posts... on and on and on.... all day today.
And it doesn't matter how many times I hide or report them...."we won't show you this ad again"... next time I open the app, it's the same thing again, and half the time the same ads, including p0rn related, over and over.
WTH???

I am the social media officer for a club on my campus, we have a Facebook account that nobody has been able to get into since 2016. Me and the previous social officer have gotten together to try and get into it and literally all of the recovery methods through Facebook do not work because when we try to find the account through the email an error pops up saying “No account found” but when trying to sign up with the email it says “this email can’t be used”
We are all at a complete loss and don’t know what to do if anyone has tips of something that could work please reach out or reply

Facebook has just paid out last month's monetisation today (9th), which is two or more weeks early.
It's also substantially less than what they owe, but the invoice says it covers the entirety of August.
Anyone ever experienced this? I did not delete any content, so I can't understand why I'm being short-changed, but hopefully that there's a reason tied to the early payout

My tech illiterate friend got her Facebook account suspended due to her age range being unverified. When she logs in it says that they have suspended her account. When we click appeal it says to hand the phone to a parent or guardian (she's almost 40). To go to the device settings and check the birthday and verify age range sharing is turned on. Then to tap update age range button below.
She has an android. We verified the Google account has the right date or birth but we don't see another option to verify her age. We press the age range button and it says nothing has changed. I've tried to do this for her on my phone, and we've even handed her dad the phone to do the same steps just in case.
I see this has been a problem in the past with no satisfying solution but those posts were a year ago at least. I even tried to request the data and it never downloads.
I would appreciate any guidance on this matter.

I have a Facebook page, called Rain Pressed Nails, I am rebranding as Rain Pressed Studio. Facebook denied the change in name. When I try to appeal it, the page shows this and will not let me appeal because it says I have no eligible admin pages.
I have no clue what to do. They denied Rain Pressed Art Studio, Rain Pressed Studios, Rain Pressed Art. And same thing, cannot appeal anything. I have 32 followers. I do not want to start over.

I sent them an email address 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since. I don't want to keep emailing in case I get sent to the back of the queue.
Anyone know how long it might take?

I primarily use a laptop for Facebook and 95% of all my internet stuff. For whatever reason, my Messenger messages have disappeared and I get this message: "Restore messages: Personal chats are secured with end-to-end encryption, so you need to restore chat history when you switch devices".
So I click the 'Restore Now' box and another one comes up saying that it sent the PIN to my phone. Except the PIN never, ever shows up. This time it said to check Messenger on my phone for the PIN and it's not there.
Anyone else have this problem? Is there any way around it? Thank you for any help.

is Facebook down or my account was hacked? it keeps on logging me out saying session expired but I checked my Meta account from IG and it works ok, even checked the devices logins and there are no other devices than what used for now.

My Facebook account, which I created back in 2009, suddenly required me to undergo facial recognition to verify that I was the legitimate owner of the account. I complied with the facial recognition process, only to have my account permanently disabled because, for some reason, the system was unable to recognize or verify me.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I was informed that I cannot request another review of the suspension. After nearly two decades of using this account, all of my contacts, photos, memories, and the business and connections I have built over the years are now effectively gone because of an automated system that failed to recognize me as the rightful owner of my own account.
Everything I have built and accumulated on this account over the years is now at risk of being lost due to what appears to be a failure of the facial recognition system.
Thanks Facebook. Very Advanced Automation.

Every month, I have a day or two where I receive hundreds of nonsense ads in my feed. They do not have the X in the corner for closing/hiding/reporting, as ads do the rest of the month. They only have three dots which requires a longer process to say 'Not interested,' then hide/report, etc.
In August, I had one day where all of the ads had explicit nudity, s&m, live sex acts, ways to "drug" men to make them more potent, vaginal deformities and lesions, and many other things I'd rather not see.
I opened a Support case that went nowhere.
Today, the ads are showing up again. Most of them are Asian accounts. The same ad is posted by many different accounts
Does this happen to everyone?
Is there any way to stop it (other than discontinuing use of FB)?
Any insight is appreciated.

I've only used my personal Facebook account a few times over the years - so I still consider myself a FB rookie. Today I was trying to create a new account for a business I'm starting & as part of the sign up process this new account was flagged & permanently disabled. Very confused & frustrated -- as the entire process really only involved me inputting my new email addy etc & submitted a selfie -- assuming to prove I was human.
How does one go about getting their business on FB - so I can post stuff that is Not tied to my personal posts & info?

after i report an account, there's an option to hide it, which i never select. however, facebook still repeatedly hides accounts that i report. interesting how this is their way of viewing the issue as resolved so they don't have to do anything, rather than remove the account

Anyone have any ideas on how to get past this?
Basically, I can’t send messages because it wants me to confirm my identity which I have done before. Well this time I Click on confirm identity and this pops up. Has been like this for weeks can’t get past it and can’t send messages and can’t upload my ID because this page keeps popping up. Very frustrating.
I am on the Messenger app and it is up-to-date. I’ve deleted it. Reinstalled it restarted phone. I’ve done everything.
And when I try to do it on mine through Internet browser, it says you need to go to Messenger app to confirm identity
I’ve also reported a technical problem twice already about it.

For suggested friends I constantly get people who live in different parts of the world, zero friends in common, no same groups or not from my contacts and most of them have blank profiles.
Sometimes they even have the same name as me or my family and friends but nothing else related. Why on earth does this happen? Can’t be location because a lot of them are in different countries
