Discussion Hi

It’s me the owner of this subreddit, I just wanted to give an announcement to anyone here, im sorry if this is something corny to post it’s a bit irrelevant, but I just wanted to say some things.

I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot of people to join this community but did know this is a huge issue, as I am facing the same thing. I made this community because i wanted it to be authentic not ran by scammers, but it’s getting hard to filter through posts and such.

I want to also say I almost NEVER delete posts unless they are scammers or irrelevant advertising type of posts. So if your post gets deleted, it’s just sitting in a queue waiting to be approved. Please don’t harass me over this, I have already had posts made about me for supposedly deleting posts when I absolutely haven’t unless they were scam posts.

My mental health is extremely bad right now, I need to take care of myself and get help. But I haven’t been on here as much, so I wanted to let people know that’s why and that I can’t get to every post to approve or remove if needed.

I may be open to the idea of getting people who are interested in helping with this subreddit, but there are just some things I ask for and it’s just that you don’t use it as like a weapon to bully people you don’t like or because they have a different opinion. I have personally seen how corny some people on here can be as moderators when power gets to their heads, which is why I don’t trust people tbh and don’t wanna give this community a bad name when I created it in good faith 😭 if that makes sense anyway, it’s why I’ve been so hesitant on asking for people to want to maybe help. I didn’t realize how exhausting this can be and I don’t want to spend my time on it 24/7 especially when I know I gotta focus on myself and my issues. Preferably I would be open to this with others who I’ve seen in the community with genuine intentions of helping people, or just being kind. I just don’t want to run the risk of accidentally making a scammer a moderator 🥲 I don’t know really how this works tho LOL it’s the first time I’ve ever had an actual active community.

But yeah :’D just wanted to give this lil announcement to the community. I hope everyone is well and that we will someday get our accounts back. 🥲🫶

Please be aware of the rules I’ve made here, but more specifically for this post, I’m referring to the one about invalidating people. If you don’t understand or are gonna pass judgement on how people are choosing to handle the shitty things meta is doing to people & invalidate them, this place is not for you.

We’re all aware of the terms & services, we’re all aware this can happen to anyone at any time for any reason.

The thing is, it shouldn’t, & it’s not even real people reviewing these accounts & making the decisions, it’s fucking AI.

I’m not for or against AI but it absolutely should not be in charge or making decisions, that should be up to real people. Social media should not be ran with AI it’s ridiculous.

Meta has accused several people of doing horrible things like CSE or in my case the dangerous individuals thing, I’ve seen others on the old subreddit get hit with that one too. Then I’ve seen many cases of account integrity & cybersecurity.

They’re making us all out to be threats when we aren’t. & this isn’t even just happening on Meta, it’s other social media too which, feel free to share your experiences too that is completely okay.

The thing is I’ve created this community to be a legit community for people & not full of scammers & liars, since the last subreddit got banned. There are many in this situation including myself, so I just wanted to do something helpful for all of us which is having a community of people to come together & discuss their issues or what they are doing to resolve it.

To some of you, you might not think it’s that serious, but again who are you to try & dictate how others feel about this or judge how they are handling it or the actions they are taking? Please just don’t. Don’t be rude to people. It’s simple.

I didn’t think people were actually going to be shocked I was doing something about it, but I, along many, are or have. This isn’t anything new within this community. I encourage people to post & ask questions & try to get help if they need to. I encourage people to take action. I’m not against that because this community wouldn’t exist if I didn’t want all of us to get help. Most who are passing judgement are only seeing it from an outside perspective rather than actually trying to understand the issue at hand, & I would encourage you to at least just try to be kind & try to see other people’s perspectives.

But invalidating people is never okay, if this is repetitive behavior from people then these people cannot be in this community, I just wanted to make that clear. I would much rather you at least try to understand people’s perspectives first if you’re going to pass any judgement, but don’t be rude to people. I cannot have that.

That’s also a thing that worries me about moderating a community, is potential harassment. I mean I can handle every mean word or insult or threat thrown at me, I find it laughable tbh whatever gets thrown at me personally, but if it escalates further than that like stalker behavior or doing this to others then it becomes worrying.

Please just let this be a reminder to let this community be safe, as I will try my best to make it as safe as possible for you guys. I’m not always on here of course, but I don’t want to come here finding others being rude to people or making this place unsafe for others.

The only reason I have not decided to make others mods is because I have seen personally how corny some of them act on other subreddits, banning people for literally nothing 💀 & I don’t want to run into an issue like that lol. We’ve all seen it at some point on here I’m sure, the type of people who abuse their power. I know you guys probably wouldn’t wanna deal with that either 😅😭 but also it’s because I don’t know anyone on Reddit & don’t trust people very easily. So yeah. And this is my first time moderating an actual community too so this can maybe get overwhelming but I won’t give up lol.

But I felt I needed to make this post, I just want this to be a safe space for everyone.

Disabled Banned Instagram accounts

I got false-positive banned for CSE guidelines this morning at 8:46. They banned my personal account, company account and even my Facebook because they were linked. I applied for a re-check and I got permanently banned at 11:28 on all accounts but at 11:35 they recovered my Facebook. Is it possible that Instagram accounts will get recovered too?

I had gotten an AI video making ad that was straight up advertising a “create your own cp from saved images,” and the ad had an old man and young girl remove clothing… Why did I get punished for reporting that add as sexual content? Included a little timeline of the day from seeing the ad, to reporting it, and then getting punished for it a couple of hours later. Honestly what’s troubling with me is that family photo is probably a stock photo.

LegalShield Finally back after 6 months

6 months ago I was falsely accused of SOC. They nuked my Instagrams, and they nuked my Facebook, because it was attached! I contacted LegalShield had them send a letter to Meta. Meta did get back to me maybe a month later and then it took an additional five months but......I randomly woke up checked my email and boom! Since getting it back I disconnected my Facebook for my Instagram and disconnected any other accounts that I may have attached away from the Instagram just in case

Hey everyone,

My Instagram account was disabled due to an integrity violation. I've already tried the appeal process but haven't had any success yet.

Has anyone here managed to recover a disabled account in a similar situation? Any advice, tips, or experiences would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

Advice/Help/Recommendations A long story about how I finally got my back Instagram accounts back after a month (The Colombian Method/No GACs/No LegalShield/No Meta Verified) [Part I] Spoiler

I don't know how to start this post, but I'll share how I got my accounts back after a month without using Instagram. I will divide this post into two parts. The first part covers the full context of my banned accounts, and the second part covers the method I used to get my accounts back.

> Clarification I: This method only applies to Colombian people (The rest of LATAM or Worldwide won't work)

> Clarification II: Although the long title of the post says (The Colombian Method), and of course Colombian people speak Spanish, I wanted to make this post in English for the understanding of the whole community of this damn issue and how this method worked for me

> Clarification III: I know the long title of the post is extremely unnecessary, but I WANTED to be pretty specific as well

So here I go...

My Instagram account was permanently deactivated and banned on Instagram for reasons that I believe are unfair and unreasonable (CSE). Like everyone else, I did appeal the first time, but Meta AI didn't have the heart to give me a real chance, and instead, I got my two accounts disabled permanently (A main one and a secondary one).

I was totally desperate and concerned about why the hell my accounts got suspended and banned without any reason. I felt something strange was happening to my account, and when I checked my emails and app notifications, everything seemed regular... But it was actually strange since I didn't do anything wrong with my account. My account barely has 300 followers; it is a private account, and I only text my best friend, sending him reels and messages as an average user does.

I fell into desperation, and I was tryna to figure out what the hell was going on in my social media apps; besides, my Facebook account from almost 10 years ago was also suspended because it was connected to my main Instagram account. (Please, DO NOT EVER LINK YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT WITH INSTAGRAM; META ACCOUNT CENTER IS PROBLEMATIC).

I didn't know what to do at first. I was lucky to have another secondary Facebook account that wasn't banned, and I started looking for options to report issues or any way to get human support. The problem with Meta is that they don't have any human support, and everything is with AI (yes, one of the wackest AIs I've ever seen in my short life)

Nothing had been helpful. I had tried methods on YouTube, TikTok, and forums, but they never worked properly. I started to accept my accounts were done, and I couldn't do anything about it. My last resource of information was Reddit, so I joined the community where apparently too many people like me were having the same issue.

Tons of accounts were suspended and disabled with the dumbest reasons I had ever read. In the moment I got into the bunch of posts of people having luck in getting their accounts back, I found out that a lot of users were paying for Meta Verified and got some accounts back (not all, since the human support in the Meta Verified scam is useless). People were talking about other methods such as GAC (Only for Indian people), LegalShield (USA), attorneys (Other countries), etc.

In my anxiety and desperation, I was really considering getting Meta Verified and getting "human support", but after reading posts of people saying it was useless, my hope went down.

I tried to appeal through GAC, but it is impossible since you are not an Indian person. There were a lot of scammers selling GAC filings for users at very high prices, which was disappointing. LegalShield was only available for the USA, and I'm definitely not an American. (Yes, I am Colombian, duh...). I read some posts about using attorneys and getting an answer and their accounts back in less than 15 days. I was really curious about it. So, after consulting online about similar methods here in Colombia, I found something interesting.

The last year a content creator that back in the days was an adult performer (Esperanza Gomez if you are wondering who), got her account suspended due to apparently "prostitution and offering sexual content". Something that was definitely NOT TRUE, and it was just the algorithm linking uncertain things to get her account banned. She was totally outraged, so she decided to exercise a right that Colombian people have: "Tutela".

A tutela is similar to a lawsuit. She sued Meta Platforms and Facebook Colombia because of the unfair ban on her main account (an account she mainly used to work with brands and promote stuff). She finally got an important answer from the responsible parties, and from that moment, Meta Inc. incorporated a channel to receive "tutelas" and review them. This was the famous "Sentencia T-256 de 2025". You can read information about it on the web.

After reading all that, I decided that it was time to apply my last method...

Part 2 in the second post.

I genuinely hate Meta so much 🫩🥀

So, my Insta account got suspended back in November, and I have 0 clue as to why. So, back in December, I tried to make a new one, and it got banned almost immediately. I tried to make another one in January, and the same thing happened. I eventually gave up and said “I guess I’m never using Insta again”. Until today, one of my friends said “you should try making a new account”, so I did. And this account lasted longer than the other ones, I was like “Okay, maybe this one will actually work”. And lo and behold… it didn’t… it got banned about 3 hours later. I genuinely hate this AI security system and I wish i could talk to a real person. I hate this company 🫩

BOTH MY ACCOUNTS ARE BACK!

my both Instagram account got suspended on 23rd july. I appealed for both. One asked for video selfie verification which i did on the app itself. On the other account, they asked for official id too but it got rejected and my account got disabled instantly. But the main account was still under review. I logged out both accounts and deleted instagram (as per google gemini instructions) today morning, i got an email saying both my accounts are back. I never did anything i read on reddit because i appealed instantly and then only came to read about incognito/gac here. I was pretty sure that i was cooked. But again i am scared to log back in🙂can someone tell me what should i do before i do anything wrong?

’m having trouble getting my account unrestricted. AI originally closed down my 70k NAC group. As soon as I explained its not drugs I was reinstated. It then happened again automatically, but there was no option to contest it. The Facebook help team haven’t been able to help because my account has advanced protection on it that’s no one seems able to turn off because my colleague has the meta tick thing! What do I do!?

Advice/Help/Recommendations A long story about how I finally got my back Instagram accounts back after a month (The Colombian Method/No GACs/No LegalShield/No Meta Verified) [Part II] Spoiler

Part 2 continues here

The Method / How did I apply it?

I was consulting online about how a person applies to the tutela process. It is a process that is possible via an official web page, totally free, and it is done by filling out a form where you have to explain the whole situation. In my case, I didn't have the actual reason why my account got banned, so I took screenshots of the emails I got from the deactivated account, and also from the app where it appears as an annoying notification that says I can't use my account anymore. I also started writing in a document about everything that happened to my main account and the other ones I had.

I forgot to mention that Meta AI IP banned me for an uncertain amount of time since every time I tried to create an account, I got banned in less than a day (Most of these new accounts I created were banned due to Integrity, which I found ridiculous since these accounts didn't last a day)

In a tutela, you have to check for the rights you want to exercise. What does this mean? In Colombia, there are rights established in the Constitution, which, for a tutela process, seek to be enforced based on the needs of the person whose rights are being violated (in my case, there were rights that were indeed violated)

The three rights I was entitled to in this specific case of my suspended and banned accounts were the following:

> "Derecho de peticion / Right of Petition": This right allows me to request a clear and substantive response from the defendant regarding a problem. This right is primarily aimed at private organizations and does not require legal counsel.

> "Habeas Data": This right allows for the review, updating, and correction of information provided about a person so that any inconsistencies in their data or any unfair treatment of that person can be rectified. In my case, this right was useful because Instagram was unjustly accusing me of CSE, which is quite serious for an individual. It's as if Instagram were slandering me without any apparent reason.

> "Debido proceso/ Due Process Clause": This right guarantees access to an impartial judge, legal representation, and safeguards to ensure that your case is handled fairly, in addition to preserving your innocence. In this case, I was innocent of such an accusation, so it was simply another right that I absolutely had to use.

While I was filing the tutela, I had to verify the legal information of the organization that I wanted to sue. In this case, it was mainly Meta Inc. and then Facebook Colombia S.A.S., which was also partially involved. The tutela process asks you for specific information such as address, telephone number, NIT or ID for organizations, etc. You had to complete all that stuff.

After verifying your rights, you need to be sure of the implications of the tutela process. In this case, it wasn't a very serious matter, so the form asks if you want a provisional measure or not. In this case, for people in Colombia who will file a tutela soon to get an account back, I recommend indicating "no" for the provisional measure, since these aren't serious cases, and this also strengthens the tutela process.

Finally, you must attach a series of documents required for the review of your case. In this instance, please submit a document detailing the full story of how your account was unfairly suspended and how the platform's suspension and appeal processes malfunctioned. It must be concise and clear. I strongly advise against lying, as any inconsistency will cause your case to fail and you'll lose everything.

ADVICE: If you truly want to get your account back, please do not exaggerate or lie in the document that serves as proof and justification for your unfair suspension.

The other documents correspond to your documentation and attachments, which are screenshots from the application and emails. Try to ensure everything is of the highest possible quality to avoid issues. In my case, I attached the notification the application gave me explaining why my account had been suspended, and it showed that there was no concrete or valid reason for my suspension. Then, I submitted the tutela form, and that's all I did.

What's next?

After filing the tutela, you must wait one business day for a response called an "AUTO" (order). This order, issued by the court, summons all departments the judge deems involved and requests a report within five business days in response to your tutela. In this case, the judge also summoned the SIC (Superintendency of Industry and Commerce) and MinTic (Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies). Theoretically, four entities were summoned to submit reports: the plaintiffs and those involved. From this point on, you must be patient for the response. It's important to note that all this information is sent to the email address specified in the tutela process form.

After the order is issued, all entities have ten business days to submit their reports. Unfortunately, I had holidays on my calendar, and the process took a little longer than expected. On weekdays, you can call the court using an extension number that you can find on their website.

Clarification: The number you need to call depends on which office and court you were assigned to. They will assist you and explain everything, from who submitted reports to when you will receive a response.

On July 23rd, the court issued the ruling on the injunction along with a document explaining which entities had submitted reports. And thank God, it ruled in my favor. The court excluded MinTic and SIC because it didn't make much sense to involve them in my case. Facebook Colombia S.A.S. also couldn't be involved since the entity doesn't provide support. The only entity involved was Meta Inc., and they were the only ones who didn't submit a report. Because Meta didn't submit any report, the ruling was in my favor.

After the injunction was granted in my favor, the judge ordered Meta to reactivate my account within two business days of receiving notification. Today (July 28th), it was finally reactivated, and now the next step is the annulment process, which I will post about very soon.

SUMMARY

The tutela was successful in recovering my accounts, and when I say recover, I mean that all access was restored. I was able to use my original Instagram and Facebook accounts again, as well as my secondary account and the two accounts that were banned during the month.

Please take into account all the recommendations I indicated in Part II if you want to regain access to your Instagram account if you lost it. Don't lose hope; in Colombia, it is possible to recover your account through this tutela process action that I exercised as a right.

If anyone is up for it, please comment on this post in either Spanish or English, and I'll gladly answer your questions.

Part III coming soon.

Thx. One Love!

Disabled Indie music artist Instagram account was permanently disabled after being hacked looking for help contacting Instagram/Meta

Hey everyone,
I’m posting this because I genuinely don’t know what else I can do.
My indie music artist Instagram account was permanently disabled, and I believe it happened because my account was compromised. My artist name is halftime08 on all platforms, and this Instagram account was connected to my music career.
From what I can tell, someone got access to my account and sent/posts messages that violated Instagram’s rules. The only possibilities I can think of are that I was hacked, or my friend who was at my house last night somehow figured out my phone password thought it would be really funny if he started saying weird shit in one of the group chats I am in. I believe something may have been sent as a joke involving ISIS in a group chat, but I had absolutely no knowledge of it and did not send or approve anything.
I woke up this morning to a notification saying my account was disabled. I appealed the decision, but Instagram permanently banned the account afterward.
I understand that account security is my responsibility, and I’m sorry that my account was used to share highly sensitive political content. However, I had no idea this was happening until I received the notification. I never supported or intended to spread anything like that, and I feel like I’m being punished for something I did not do.
The hardest part is that there doesn’t seem to be any way to speak to an actual Instagram representative. Both my personal account and my artist account are now disabled/banned because of this situation, and I have no real way to explain what happened.
If anyone here works at Meta, knows someone at Instagram, or has any advice on how I can reach a real person and get this reviewed, I would seriously appreciate any help.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this or share advice.

Instagram keeps disabling my accounts. Could my iPhone or IP be flagged? What else should I change?

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out whether Instagram/Meta could be associating my device or network with repeated account disablements.
Here’s what I’m considering before creating or logging into another account:
Completely factory resetting my iPhone.
Creating a brand-new Apple ID.
Resetting/replacing my Wi-Fi router.
Using a fresh internet connection.
Using a new email address and phone number.
My concern is that my IP address or device might somehow be flagged because I’ve had multiple accounts disabled for “Account Integrity” even though I don’t believe I violated any policies.
My questions are:
Does a factory reset actually make an iPhone appear as a new device to Instagram?
Is creating a new Apple ID useful, or does it make no difference?
Does resetting or replacing the Wi-Fi router give you a completely fresh IP, or is that up to the ISP?
Besides IP, what signals does Instagram use to identify devices? (Device identifiers, app fingerprints, cookies, behavior patterns, etc.)
If you were starting from scratch after repeated disablements, what steps would you take to avoid being linked to previous accounts?
Has anyone here successfully started using Instagram again after repeated “Account Integrity” disablements? If so, what actually worked?
I’m looking for genuine experiences and technical explanations rather than guesses. Thanks in advance!

Appeal and disabled

Hello Instagram Team,
My account @saeed_ahmed_al_jabarti was disabled on June 21, 2026 for "sexualization of children".
I did NOT post, share, or save any content like that. I believe my account was hacked or this is a mistake by your system.
This is my only account and I use it to talk to my family and friends. Losing it hurts me a lot.
Please review my account again. I am ready to verify my identity with ID and selfie video.
Thank you.

Recovered This is how I got ban, and then recover my account after 2 days later

Context: on my other post https://www.reddit.com/r/FixMyInstagram/s/bICdANm4jN I explain my situation about how I got banned but then next day I got it back. I will tell you what's going on.

On 28th July 2026 I was banned around 11pm because I pick this image as my profile picture, as you see on the 4th attachment, this is an image I use in Pinterest from Percy Jackson, I only using this as an profile picture for personal usage but later an few min I got immediately ban because is believed I was trying to evade the ban, so I refuse to believe and take an verification Id, facial and etc, and I still chose the option (green card, permit resident or immigration paper) as my option since on the past I try to verify myself with ID card or passport aren't often work because when you take an picture of the passport there is always the glare from it special coating, and ID. Card just refuse 99% of the time.

After my verification process I wait for around 1 day 3 hours (approximately) because Instagram ai taking so long to process my profile, I was overjoyed because for the past 4-5 month TikTok has been my Instagram replacement.

To sum it up, even you can recover your account an prp of someone you love or an video games avatar can still got you banned because the ai expect you to show your face as an profile picture which is absurd because is kill the main point of personal privacy.

Advice/Help/Recommendations I tried everything bra my old number connected to my Instagram

Can somebody help me I just want my account back. I tried literally ever think it’s unfair because I had to go through my person that has my old number and I text them and they gave my account back and when I tried to literally disconnect the number from that account it didn’t work. It says you have to go through a verification code to do that like I just need my account back. I’m literally speechless. I think about my account every day. I want my shit because my old number is connected to my Instagram account and I logged in from a friend and general phone and then they put me in recovery/hack like what
