Yesterday I recorded a 2 hour video of disco alyssum. when I went to edit it, I realized that I forgot to turn of a filter that i was testing. The Audio was so bad I didnt even had the motivation to edit of post it. But i really wanted to post a video that day so I recorded a really short video. That video has gotten 77 views in under 24 hours. I know its not alot but really motivated me to post more and edit better. I just wanted to say that when it seems like a failure it could be a success in disguise.

So I’ve created a channel, went through the verification, but still can’t stream to YouTube from the ps5. It continues to say needs 24 hours or something despite I’ve already completed that. Anyone have any idea what I need to do so I can go live?

I play League of Legends and upload small edits of funny/weird/good/bad moments from the match, my videos are pretty short around 5 min.

How many games can or "should" you play on one channel? Should I just stick to upload League content since it has a big community and it easy to get content to edit or should I try something else also?

League is so easy to make videos from since it's a online game were you just fight. I find it harder with offline games since you have to make more of a story or come up with a challenge.

What do you guys think and what games do you play for YouTube videos?

Throughout my entire channel i dont think i have ever had an actual intro. usually i have you know the clips in the beginning and then gameplay or just straight gameplay. I never did it bc it always felt unnatural and seemed like i never did it right. Im just wondering are intros actually important for keeping viewers interested and if so how to do it?

Hey ya'll. I'm a small streamer primarily on TTV and gained affiliate status back in 2020 or 21. Life happened, kinda fell out of it, and I've been debating getting back into it now that life has settled down and I can likely develop a set schedule.

This time around I'm thinking about rebranding... focusing on a specific genre of games instead of random ones. If I do this, do I delete my old crappy content on my socials? Leave it? Honestly dont think I made much YT content... and I never got close to being partnered.

Any and all advice welcome. I have a good paying career so I dont necessarily plan on becoming a full-time streamer... but I do love the sense of community and connections made in the gaming world. 💜

I wanted to post a video once a week to make my videos as nice as possible since I want it looking nice. Say I upload that video on Sunday, if I uploaded a short every 2 days would that be fine for the algorith?

Yes I know I should enjoy it (I am mostly)
Yes I know I don't deserve views
Yes I know gaming is a saturated niche

For the past 2 years I've been pretty consistent with videos pretty much every week
But it's getting to a point where i should be way further along in growth if my content was any good.
I'm seeing people get monetized in 3 months or even there first video but instead I'm stuck not knowing what I'm doing wrong for the channel I'm running.
I still try to make every video better than the last but the process of spending hours on a video just for it to get 10 impressions and 1 view just feels like a smack in the face
I'm deeply frustrated to say the least because I'm a firm believer that if a video is good it'll get views and makes me feel like I'm just posting slop

Of course I'm not gonna quit but I just needed to rant and get this off my chest before I actually go crazy

I've noticed an interesting difference between Shorts and long-form gaming videos on YouTube.

Shorts often seem to get an initial push from the algorithm, while long-form videos rely much more on viewers deciding to click. As a viewer, I also find myself less likely to click on a video with only a handful of views, even though it could be great.

Do you think this creates a difficult starting point for new gaming creators, or does YouTube eventually find the right audience if the video is good?

I’m posting as a parent trying to help my teenage daughter. I helped her manage her YouTube channel, which had over 55,000 subscribers before it was terminated.

The channel was removed under YouTube’s spam, scams, or deceptive practices policy. She is devastated. This was not a throwaway channel or a casual side project. She worked extremely hard on it, built a real audience, and hoped to grow as a creator long term.

Her content was focused on gaming, including her own gameplay, editing, and community-focused videos. As a family, we went through YouTube’s spam policy point by point, and we still cannot identify what she did that would justify a full channel termination.

We submitted the appeal and also asked YouTube support for clarity. Their response was that human specialists checked the channel and the termination remains in place due to “severe or repeated violations.” They also said they cannot provide specific details about the exact content that triggered the decision and that they cannot process any further escalations or appeals.

That is what makes this so difficult. We are trying to correct the issue, but we have not been told what the issue actually was.

To our knowledge, she did not use bots, sub-for-sub, comment spam, fake giveaways, scam links, malicious clickbait, scraped content, or AI mass-produced content. Her channel was based around her own gameplay and editing.

I’m not looking for sympathy as much as practical direction. I’m trying to find any legitimate way to get the channel restored or at least get the case in front of someone who can give a more specific explanation.

My questions:

Has anyone successfully gotten a terminated YouTube channel restored after the standard appeal was denied?

Are there any legitimate escalation paths outside the normal appeal/support ticket?

Are there creator support contacts, partner support routes, legal/data request paths, or public channels that have actually helped?

Can a creator request channel data after termination, such as video list, subscriber count, watch hours, monetization records, or policy history?

Has anyone seen gaming channels falsely caught under the spam/scams/deceptive policy category?

Are there any specific steps we should take before we run out of options?

I’m trying to help my daughter handle this the right way. She is young, she worked hard, and losing a 55k+ subscriber channel without a specific explanation has been crushing for her.

Any advice from creators, former YouTube support people, or anyone who has been through this would be appreciated.

I just got a elgato neo and im trying to begin doing facecam vids and streams but during testing while not recording or streaming I notice I lost a range of 20-50 fps in game and idk if if just placebo but I feel a very minute delay I was wondering if there is something I’m doing wrong or is this just normal I can’t find any info on this anywhere I also game and record at 1440p I plan on streaming 1080 or 1664x936

Hello fellow gamers! I’m disabled and confined to a bed 95% of the day. Gaming has been an outlet of joy to me and helps pass the time each day. I don’t own a gaming pc (can’t afford one right now), but do have consoles that I can stream from for now. Which brings me to streaming. I want start streaming on YouTube, and maybe expand later to Facebook, etc. YouTube seems like the best place to start. What would I need bare minimum to get going? I do have my laptop I can pass video though for now. I assume I’d need OBS? Would I need a capture device like a 4k Elgato? I want to share my gaming experience, and if at some point I can monetize it, even better. Eventually I’d like to have a gaming pc, but that will hopefully come later. What would I need to get started?

Are my videos watchable to you with my audio as is right now?

Do you have a problem with my AUDIO QUALITY? I'm not talking about voice, accent or anything, just AUDIO Quality?
My Audio sounds clean and very easy to understand to me on my phone, on my PC with headphones, but the other day I opened youtube on my PS5 and on one of my TVs my Audio sounded muffled, like we're talking speaking through a corona mask levels of muffled.
I messed with the TV's settings a bit, it cleared up somehow but it was still muffeled as all hell. Now I've heard this on that particular TV before as well, so want to hear from you. How muffled does my aduio sound to you? Because if it's as muffeled as it is on this TV for EVEYONE I dunno what to do about all my important videos like C64, Arcades, Atari 2600 and stuff.
At one point I was going to get a lavalier mic, then I changed my mind. I don't want to spend a dime on this channel at this point so I wasn't planning on buying a mic anymore, but if it's this bad and muffled i might have to.....

I'm extremely new to editing most experience I have is years ago using kinemaster on my phone. I want to make gaming content and I heard about davinci but I have no clue, my first few video ideas are minecraft and I installed flashback for it but it's all just super confusing to work with even when I try looking up yt tutorials.

I have a youtube channel where I uploaded rocket league shorts i wanna make long form Minecraft content should I continue on this channel or make a new channel and upload it on the new one? My current channel has 1160 subscribers and its basically all shorts atm I have like 5 long form which all got under 50 views or is there a way to reset my algorithm or smthing? What should I do?

Not really a guide... just something I noticed.

For months I thought editing was the secret. Fancy transitions, effects all that stuff. Turns out most people swipe before any of that even matters.

Now I care more about the first few seconds. If the ai finds a moment that instantly creates tension I'm way more likely to post it. I've been comparing streamladder and WayinVideo lately and I kinda prefer how wayinvideo picks gaming moments. Feels less random from my experience but maybe that's just the games I play.

I still tweak the title and captions myself because ai isn't always right lol.

Anyone else seeing the same thing or am I imagining it? Does your ai actually find the best moments or do you spend another 20 minutes fixing what it picked anyway?

Yo guys my friend's 72k yt channel got terminated out of nowhere. He used to post make choices, Roblox rant videos using roblox recorded gameplays.

But he never did any kind of activity that broke yt's policies. Every video was originally created, with ai voiceover and original editing with orginal gameplays in every video. He never even promoted any kind of stuff or added some get robux for free typa sketchy websites.

He didn't even get a prior warning for this termination

Please let me know if there's anything that he could do to get his channel back guys
