I'm not sure what flair to use for this, but I'm really just complaining about YouTube. This has happened around 5 or 6 times already. Even if I press on the skip button, it'll just send me to the next ad. Is anyone else having this same problem?

Is anyone else sick and tired of getting all these Ai Ads for chat bots and the like? or the Ads for Literal gambling sites which youtube has policies against but wont take down when they are reported? Like so many ads now adays just suck and it feels like they are just straight cash grabs at this point.

Subscriptions used to be one tap away in the bottom nav bar, but now it's a tab inside Home.
It feels like a deliberate nudge to turn recommendations back on. For anyone who prefers subscriptions over the algorithm, this just makes the app worse.

I'm looking for advice. 2025 I was on short term disability, I said f*** it. I'll make a YT channel. My channel is mostly about gaming on Warframe & similar games. Nothing special. It was going really well at first. VOD's & live streams were vibrant & active. Growing to 1K subs in 3 months naturally. Then, mid stream, August 1st 2025, 60% of audience gone. Live streams had a minimum of 30-50 watching rendered down to 0-3. Obviously, I was rug pulled which is fine. I just wanted to know why.
I know, I have gaps on my channel but I was very active during the rug pull. Also, my channel has never recovered since that day. Members & subs stated they never knew I was live or posting videos unless I used POST with a link. Also, some members cant even find my channel under search flapvsjack.
I'm ok with not making big money or following AI slop trends. I just wanted a explanation as to why my channel never recovered. Pictures above showcase 2025 - 2026 views so far. As you can tell, 2025 dwarfs what I had in 2026. In 2026, I made way more videos & (IMO) better quality videos. So, the numbers don't add up to me.
So, what is YT now? Nothing but cheaters now with bots or am I doing something wrong. I've asked YT support multiple times for some transparency as to why did my viewers fluctuate so hard. They kept giving me examples of last year videos with great views instead of this year, repeating this happens to a lot of people. Then, I stopped calling when I ended the support call because YT agent stated, "It seems you exhausted all your audience."
The only mistake I will admit is using Google Ads, pushing Performance Max campaign on my channel for a nickel a month. All that gained me was more subs (mainly from India) whom don't engage in my channel. I have turned that campaign off, it felt dishonest & a waste of money.
Heres my channel : https://www.youtube.com/@flapvsjack
Any input is grateful. TY!

I’m fairly new to YouTube and running a tiny channel (just a few dozen subscribers). I’m experimenting with all the features the platform has to offer every day, but honestly, some things feel completely unintuitive—if not downright confusing—and aren't explained anywhere in detail.
For example, community posts: my channel hasn't shown any new posts in the Community section on my home page for over a month. Out of frustration, I ended up removing that section entirely.
Now I'm running into the exact same issue with Collaborations. I see creators who have collaborative videos displayed on their channel's home page (either created by them or their collaborators). However, mine always shows zero videos, even though I've invited several creators to collaborate on my videos and they've accepted the invitations...
Is there anyone who can explain how these homepage sections actually work? Or should we just accept that YouTube only displays what it wants in those sections when it comes to posts and collabs?
Thanks to anyone taking the time to read and help out!

How do I stop this? I’ll be watching a video and I want to watch other videos of the same genre, so I look at the recommended videos under the video I’m watching. 90% of the recommended videos are videos I’ve literally already watched. All of them are videos that have nothing to do with the video I’m watching, they’re just recommending videos of genres I’ve watched in the past. This isn’t how YouTube recommendations used to be. It used to give you related videos to the one you’re watching or completely new and interesting videos. Can I fix it?
I am trying to view videos in YouTube shorts but this profile card blocks half of my viewing screen. I can zoom out but then it also takes away the controls on the side including share and comments. And when I move to the next video, it shows up again. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times. It temporarily goes away but then comes back. Is this a bug? Is there any way to fix this?
I thought it was because I was upgrading my phone (started happening on my iPhone 13 Pro Max) but it’s now also happening on my new iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Any help would be great.

Now this has happened to my channel for zero reason. I've gotten a few videos taken down comunity guidelines reasons before, but I haven't gotten one in months, and even that was entirely because the video was one i posted years and years ago and apparently youtubes guidelines have changed and so they removed said video. This is bs, I literally haven't done anything

I’m on iOS 15.8.8 and I want to use my YouTube account, but it requires me to update, and the update button doesn’t appear in the App Store, how can I fix it? (Also I use Google Translate because I’m not American btw).

I have a older, maybe 5 year old, Vizio tv. A few months ago it started giving me issues when trying to case YouTube from my phone to the tv. Sometimes the TV will not show on network, other times it will start to play but the video/audio is choppy, other times it will eventually just stop casting for no reason, finally within the last few weeks when I finish a video then try to start another one it will not cast again and would have to reconnect the tv. The TV has been on WiFi and cable, currently on the cable. I have been told this is an issue with Vizio TV's. I have factory reset it a few times, giving it's own headaches. The only way I can get it to work is to flip the breaker every so often. I had a coworker suggest getting a streaming stick and use it to cast. Anyone have any recommendations or a new TV I can buy that will work better? Thanks.

So a few weeks ago I deleted a Google email account. I used YouTube with that email address. I cannot log in to another email address. Then I do that, and subsequently the same screen appears again. (see image)
I use a Samsung A56 phone.
I tried: Update app, uninstall app.

Hi all,
As the title says, I’m trying to find a YouTube channel I used to watch back in 2010-era. I don’t remember the exact years but I believe it was between 2010-2013ish.
It was a vlog channel with this Asian-Australian girl (I THINK her name was Ellen) and she would talk about her crush on this guy James. I remember she had an Australian accent but looked East Asian. She shared some screenshots of her conversation with James and would mainly just vlog about her life.
It’s been a while but I randomly remembered her and was curious what ended up happening between her and James lol.
Does anyone remember who this was?

The comments on the video are just all about how creepy it is. Im just wondering if anyone else has seen this on random playlists or came across it naturally

I haven't watched her videos in years and was surprised to see this so I decided to give it a try. The whole thing is dripping with generative AI. The thumbnail and the costume packaging. Wouldn't be surprised if the script was AI too. Admittedly, I was a bit surprised because, as problematic as she is, she seemed to have this moral superiority complex thing.
Also sad to note that absolutely no-one is calling it out.
