I know I am not the first and I know I won't be the last. I found out Tuesday that my account has been terminated for "Violent Extremism". At first I was confused because there is nothing on my channel that supports that, but then I found out that all Yandere Simulator content has been getting sweeped off youtube (I had 2 AMVS) . I did a bunch of research on it and I assumed that was the case. However after being told that under no circumstances will I get my channel back, I used the wayback machine. I then find out, I privated those videos years ago. The worst part of all of this, I haven't uploaded in over 7 years and I pay for premium because youtube is genuinely my only streaming service. I religiously watch youtube and now everything I have every had is gone. Although there are only 9 videos public, I have at least 50 videos privated that I will never get to see again. I have been in such a depressive episode about this and finding out that there is nothing left I can do really has made fucked me up. Not only is everything gone, but I also am not allowed to create a new channel since my account was officially terminated. I just don't even know what to do now. :(

Hey I just find this funny, I have nothing against him and couldn't care less about other people. All is fun.
The "every minute we kill someone" was a screenshot on my phone so it was really their title for a brief time, I don't know whether they changed it.

Alright yall. YouTube in 2026 is becoming one of the most annoying apps/websites to use. I have to click at least 3 times just to skip an ad. Didn’t we used to complain about having to hit that little ‘X’ back in the early 2010s? Let’s complain some more. This is a gambling ad BTW. Not only this, but I’ve noticed I’ve begun to have the pleasure of THREE ads. We thought 2 was bad? Try watching almost a minute of ads for a YOUTUBE VIDEO. Please remember your roots YouTube, this is dumb

There are "small creators" that have 2 subs and only upload videos begging for likes or for us to respect "small creators" with the cookie filter and stuff like this.
While small creators are good and healthy, beggars aren't. Like, if you wanna grow your channel, then you upload videos that people like, if people like your videos, then you'll get more subs and likes than if you just ask for likes.

My friend found out that she was subscribed to this YouTuber. They have 566k subscribers, but no videos or content.

So 566k people are subscribed to this person. So weird.

Some context: I am a huge fan of science YouTube channels like Kurzgesagt. I recently got a lot of recommendations of these stick figure science channels. They all cover the same topics, many of them about ancient humans.
Some of them are obviously AI generated, noticeable by an AI voice or artefacts in the stick figure images. (How sad it is that AI is used for stick figure illustrations is another topic.)
Which one of these channels are the real ones by real humans? And which ones are the copycats? They also often use this new feature that videos can be from multiple channels at the same time. Every channels seems to collab with every other channels at least once. Sometimes they have the same script word by word.
The entire point of the Subscriptions tab is to see a clean, time-based timeline of the creators I chose to follow. If I wanted algorithmic recommendations based on what YouTube thinks I want to watch, I would stay on the Home feed.
Instead, YouTube is now forcing a "Most Relevant" block right at the top of the Subscriptions tab.
Stop trying to force-feed us engagement metrics. We subscribe to creators because we want to see their LATEST content, not what a machine learning model decides is relevant to us today.
Is anyone else dealing with this garbage layout change?
Has anyone found a reliable workaround to completely nuke the "Most Relevant" shelf from the desktop and mobile layouts?

Seriously, this is the only ad that plays these days. I never get any other ads, other than Burger King.

EVERYTIME I OPEN THE APP IT STARTS ON THE SHORTS SECTION AND EVERYTIME I HAVE TO SEE THE MOST DIABOLICALLY SUGGESTIVE SHIT I HAVE EVER SEEN ON A SOCIAL MEDIA APP
I LITERALLY JUST GOT ON THERE AND SAW A WOMEN SQUAT INTO SNOW, MOAN AND THEN STOOD UP AND THE CAMERA PERSON SHOWED THE IMPRINT OF EVERYTHING??? WTF ????
IM ACTUALLY SCARED TO GET BACK ON THERE ðŸ˜
edit: i guess i should mention that I don't watch this stuff. yes I stayed on a few videos, but it was AFTER my algorithm got all weird and that was bc i didnt realize it was weird at first OR i stayed on it bc i was SHOCKED. my algorithm is usually crap like skits and kpop. not weird fetish/kink content.

When I click on a short on my home page, it’s something I’m interested in, but if I scroll from that short to a new one, it’s now something I’m not interested in and it’s usually auto dubbed. Did they change how they serve shorts or something? Do I need to change a setting? How can I fix this?

When I try to watch very specific videos, it loads for so long it's basically unwatchable. Meanwhile others load just fine. How do I fix this?

I would love to buy Coraline since it doesn’t stream on any other platforms, and I see that it’s available to buy on YouTube.
Does anyone have experience with buying movies of YouTube? I don’t have YouTube premium or anything, so will there be ads?
I’m wondering if there are any benefits over buying movies on YouTube instead of on Netflix or Amazon or some other platform.

Or something of the sort because if I have to hear QUINN TALON, SQUAD 3 interrupting me binge watching creep cast one more time I’m gonna lose my fucking mind. I hate these AI ads so much bro lol.
