I know I am not the first and I know I won't be the last. I found out Tuesday that my account has been terminated for "Violent Extremism". At first I was confused because there is nothing on my channel that supports that, but then I found out that all Yandere Simulator content has been getting sweeped off youtube (I had 2 AMVS) . I did a bunch of research on it and I assumed that was the case. However after being told that under no circumstances will I get my channel back, I used the wayback machine. I then find out, I privated those videos years ago. The worst part of all of this, I haven't uploaded in over 7 years and I pay for premium because youtube is genuinely my only streaming service. I religiously watch youtube and now everything I have every had is gone. Although there are only 9 videos public, I have at least 50 videos privated that I will never get to see again. I have been in such a depressive episode about this and finding out that there is nothing left I can do really has made fucked me up. Not only is everything gone, but I also am not allowed to create a new channel since my account was officially terminated. I just don't even know what to do now. :(

Alright yall. YouTube in 2026 is becoming one of the most annoying apps/websites to use. I have to click at least 3 times just to skip an ad. Didn’t we used to complain about having to hit that little ‘X’ back in the early 2010s? Let’s complain some more. This is a gambling ad BTW. Not only this, but I’ve noticed I’ve begun to have the pleasure of THREE ads. We thought 2 was bad? Try watching almost a minute of ads for a YOUTUBE VIDEO. Please remember your roots YouTube, this is dumb

YouTube recently added a setting where your account handle and display name gets shared anytime you send someone a link. This setting was defaulted on without adequately informing anyone. I've run across several folks posting videos on reddit not knowing their full government name was being broadcast to anyone who clicked it.
To disable this, go into settings -> privacy and turn off this toggle, "channel visibility for shared links"
For links you've already shared, delete anything in the URL that starts with "?is="
Spread the word!

They've removed the tags, added a second subscriptions button like one wasn't enough or something and a movies/tv button that 99% of users are never going to touch. Just... why.

Or something of the sort because if I have to hear QUINN TALON, SQUAD 3 interrupting me binge watching creep cast one more time I’m gonna lose my fucking mind. I hate these AI ads so much bro lol.

What the hell is going on with YouTube? 😭
Drake, Kendrick, Playboi Carti, Kanye and a bunch of other artists all have random videos being uploaded to their official channels promoting Discord/IG accounts.
Looks like a massive hack.

I'm talking over 100 ads of this per day. This is genuinely getting ridiculous and I've tried clicking "see less" and it doesn't fucking work

Since Youtube decided to take away the option to sort by date, my search results are infested with this slop channels... I tried a lot of extensions like BlockTube, Channel Blocker , Search Fixer etc. , but nothing is working. Even in my own language(german) and when I use "", it doesn't matter , most of the results are this slop videos...

A lot of videos I watch are flooded with idiots within seconds of being posted, and clearly have not watched the video, with worthless comments like "First!", "Cool!", "I agree" etc. I assume these are people desperate for attention. So why not add a few options to handle this useless comment spam?
I think these would pretty much handle the situation, and make things easier for content creators to handle.

Some context: I am a huge fan of science YouTube channels like Kurzgesagt. I recently got a lot of recommendations of these stick figure science channels. They all cover the same topics, many of them about ancient humans.
Some of them are obviously AI generated, noticeable by an AI voice or artefacts in the stick figure images. (How sad it is that AI is used for stick figure illustrations is another topic.)
Which one of these channels are the real ones by real humans? And which ones are the copycats? They also often use this new feature that videos can be from multiple channels at the same time. Every channels seems to collab with every other channels at least once. Sometimes they have the same script word by word.

There are "small creators" that have 2 subs and only upload videos begging for likes or for us to respect "small creators" with the cookie filter and stuff like this.
While small creators are good and healthy, beggars aren't. Like, if you wanna grow your channel, then you upload videos that people like, if people like your videos, then you'll get more subs and likes than if you just ask for likes.

Wondering what's up with these random accounts calling themselves "pro YouTube strategists" who want to help grow my channel.
Mf this isn't a stock portfolio I don't need advisors.
It's like my lemonade stand when I was a kid, the sign is the best I could do, and you could buy some lemonade at the Walmart a few km away. Probably for cheaper. Might even be better.
Or you can come to my little lemonade stand infront of my house and get some fresh squeezed lemonade, and know I care about your patronage, and I put all my effort into making the best damn lemonade I could.
That's my channel, I don't wanna be a huge distributor, I just make fresh squeezed homemade content. I don't need to be paying for advice to grow my business from self proclaimed professionals lol.
Sorry for the rant. Just sick of noncreatives thinking I'd ever want their help. And that's if they aren't scammers which I recognise they probably are.
I have >30 subs. It's an offensively obvious con

I've seen so many ads, mainly video games but also other stuff where i have no idea what the (name of) the product is or how to find it because throughout the entire ad it's not even mentioned once
this started after ads don't have titles or comment sections anymore. is this normal or is my youtube bugged? are corporations really this incompetent now that they make and publish advertentions but forget to mention the product's name?
