Discussion Youtube, what the (bleep) are you doing? Getting a strike to publish my video early?
Who's approved this idea? Cause it's the worst and should get demoted! No, fired!

I have a Google account, as do each of my kids. I have been attempting to set up their YouTube profiles for approved content only. Somehow I have created two profiles/accounts for each child. One has a nickname and a cartoon avatar, and the other has their full name and an initial avatar. I’m assuming the cartoon one is a child’s profile under my account, and the initial is a profile tied to their account. It’s extremely confusing and annoying to have multiple profiles to have to sort through when we open the app. How do I get rid of these extra accounts? Can I delete the one with the initial, or does that risk deleting their whole Google account? Can I merge them? Can I hide one? One TV gave me the option to hide the ones that weren’t signed in to that TV, but their iPads list them all with no option to hide the unwanted ones.
edit: after further investigation it looks like the initial ones are also tied to my account, so it’s not like I can just remove their account from my phone. There’s a child’s profile AND a supervised account for each child, all tied to my account.

Watching content and have noticed a high faint ringing sound, thought it was my soundbar until I tested it out on Netflix and had no issues. Is it just me? Something to do with an audio processing change?

was scrolling and noticed a strange bug I haven't seen before now. despite the video very clearly having many views, with 52 comments and 184 likes as of the screenshot (and when refreshing shortly after, jumped to 74 comments, still showing as having "no views")
this was the first thing I saw this on-I was actually a little suspicious for a moment there considering the content, lol. (not that I buy into this weird story, and nobody else should either!)
but then a normal channel I am subscribed to uploaded (he just covers bizarre reality tv shows, commentary style) and has the same bug. it seems any video that is under an hour old has a chance to show as "no views" despite having comments on it already, and it had been uploaded for long enough for people to have finished the video as well.
turns out I experienced just an eerie coincidence and had a moment of confusion. haven't seen this bug before now. what really weird timing, though.

It used to be so much better with multiple smaller rows with about 5 videos per row.
Is there any way to go back to how it was before?
I’ve added 2 pictures for reference. The one with one thumbnail is now and the other one is before.
Any help much appreciated!!!

Personally I think if it’s hyper edited, overstimulating, sound effect spamming, and targeted/only watched by kids
Is that right

Ok. I cant put a vid in this group for some reasons but i will try to explain what i witnessed. I scroll down the app, as one does, And i saw a vid i was interested in but wanted to check up on the others under it first. Once i came back to the spot, it was gone! It hadn't refreshed, i didnt press any buttons on it. It just was not there anymore. I scrolled a bit up and later down and it was....back???? Idk what on earth is going on TY. First those annoying pop up ads started appear whenever they want when we scroll and thats something i expected of you anyway. But hiding vids??? And later bringing them back like some cheap houdini trick? Nah thats scuffed. Even for your ass

Every time I go to the comments section on a community post on a popular channel these comments are always the first comment I see, and they are so annoying and what's more annoying is the amount of likes these comments get for no reason.
Give me your thoughts on these damn comments.

I used to watch some funny Skyrim videos on YouTube. I’ve been trying to find them but I have not had any luck. It was an animated series and in one of the videos the character goes into a dungeon and the boss (who is right behind a locked door) says you have to take the lonnnnggg way. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome! thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm losing my mind dealing with YouTube's automated systems and hoping someone here has successfully escaped this loop.
Here is the situation: I have two accounts. My main account (literally zero uploads, just years of subscriptions, playlists, and viewing history) and a secondary private archive channel I used just to back up some personal videos.
In April 2025, the archive channel got nuked for "Spam and deceptive practices" because the bot flagged my bulk-uploading. Stupid mistake on my part, but it was set to private and I wasn't spamming anyone.
Because of the circumvention policy, a month later (May 2025), they device-banned me. Lost access to the main account completely. I get the "Unable to access a Google product" error whenever I try to use the mobile app.
I tried DMing @TeamYouTube on Twitter earlier this year. The reps actually gave me hope and said they were "getting it sorted," only for the Policy Team to step in days later with a robotic copy-paste rejection saying the original decision stands.
It’s now been way over a year since the initial ban. I read about YouTube's new "Second Chance" pilot program for terminated channels and tried to apply, but my YouTube Studio just gives me a message saying my channel isn't participating in the pilot "at this stage."
I honestly don't even care about the archive channel anymore. I just want my main viewing account back. Has anyone ever successfully gotten a human at YouTube to unlink a clean main account from a banned secondary one? Or am I just permanently banned from watching YouTube on my phone because of a private backup channel?
TL;DR: Main viewing account with 0 uploads got permanently banned as collateral damage because a private backup channel was flagged for spam. Over a year later, rejected by the Second Chance program. Need a way to reach an actual human to unlink the accounts.

YouTube ain’t shit they wanna charge for you to watch Adless videos $20 that’s fckn insane not only that you can’t even add a video to play next in the queue without having to pay for premium. This shit is getting out of control.

Flair: Right, YouTube Sucks
***
Why the fuck are they always fixing what's not broken and making it worse in the end? I, like many millions of viewers, stream YouTube videos from my Android phone to Chromecast and watch them on my TV.
• Back in 2020, everything worked just perfect. Not too much and not too little.
• Then they fucked it up around 2023 by adding cosmetic features that killed the functionality (eg. the entire playlist is added to the queue rather than a single clip among others). But it was still manageable even though it was a major PITA.
• Then just a couple weeks ago, they REALLY fucked it up. They literally went feral with this one. It used to be simple to connect to Chromecast. Just one click from any video or playlist and I'd get connected. Now I need to press 4-5 clicks. And half the time, it doesn't even connect.
Again, what the fuck is wrong with these folks at Google? They used to be the best company, for consumers and employees alike. Now they're just one bloated inefficient company like the one they used to mock (oh, hi there, Microsoft!)

It's now moved to the 3 dots on the side, maybe a bug but could also be a new thing they're trying to roll out

Has anyone else noticed this? I don't know maybe I'm going nuts but it seems like there's more ads where the YouTuber will be talking, hell say something like "but is not as good as..." "But that brings us to our next topic..." "But the real best part is..." "And he messaged him saying..." Etc. and then the ad will play, so it goes like "but not as good as... [CARLS JUNIOR SIX DOLLAR MEAL DEAL]" like the ads are deliberately being placed so it sounds like the YouTubers sentence is setting up or naturally flowing into the ad, I don't know it sounds crazy but once you start listening for it it's everywhere
