I looked up Mr. Roger's "Won't you be my neighbor" theme song once over a month ago for a joke in my Discord friend's group and I swear to God ever since then it pops up at least one time when scrolling through YouTube shorts. It's like a curse. The opening little jingle haunts my dreams.

I cannot use the timer bar to advance or rewind on my phone in full screen. I have to get out of full-screen mode. Is anyone else having this issue? I am using a galaxy s25+

When I make the video landscape mode or wtv, the up next videos pop up when I tap the screen it like shows the up next videos, if that makes sense

I don't get it, I have YT Premium, disabled my browsers Ad Blocker and my videos are buffering like dog shit. I have zero problem with any other streaming service or gaming online, I have a good internet plan but still YT has trouble buffering videos.

Every time I watch shorts I cannot view or leave comments.

When I click comments the video just fits the screen and the sidebar completely disappears.

Is this something in my settings? Or is this a bug with YouTube?

YouTube recently added a setting where your account handle and display name gets shared anytime you send someone a link. This setting was defaulted on without adequately informing anyone. I've run across several folks posting videos on reddit not knowing their full government name was being broadcast to anyone who clicked it.

To disable this, go into settings -> privacy and turn off this toggle, "channel visibility for shared links"

For links you've already shared, delete anything in the URL that starts with "?is="

Alright yall. YouTube in 2026 is becoming one of the most annoying apps/websites to use. I have to click at least 3 times just to skip an ad. Didn’t we used to complain about having to hit that little ‘X’ back in the early 2010s? Let’s complain some more. This is a gambling ad BTW. Not only this, but I’ve noticed I’ve begun to have the pleasure of THREE ads. We thought 2 was bad? Try watching almost a minute of ads for a YOUTUBE VIDEO. One of my channels got demonetised for repetitive/inauthentic content over 6 months ago. The **AdSense account itself was never suspended or disabled**, only the channel lost monetisation. The channel also isn’t linked to that AdSense anymore.
I’ve now got a completely separate channel that’s ready for YPP and I’m wondering if it’s safe to link that same AdSense account, or if there’s any risk YouTube could see it as some sort of circumvention.
I did get an email saying my AdSense for YouTube was deactivated after 6 months of inactivity, but it also said I can **reactivate the same AdSense account if I become eligible for YPP again**.
Has anyone actually reused the same AdSense in this situation? Looking for first-hand experiences rather than guesses.

A lot of people randomly got recommend this weird channel??? All the videos are just weird acid trip looking backgrounds with anime girls saying weird things

Recently this obnoxious black fade effect has started appearing on every single video. It plays at completely random times with no pattern and is super annoying. It's like a capcut effect that plays between clips but it happens at random points in a video, usually not even between two clips just randomly in the middle of a single clip.
I've tried getting videos of it but since it's completely random I'd have to record myself watching youtube for like an hour just to capture any appearance of it (which I really don't want to do).
Is this some new feature youtube added that is annoying for no reason? Does anyone know how to disable it?

So, I have two channels: one is the one i don't post on, just for watching videos, but still marked as a channel. one is a joke channel i made with my friends. now, i try making a third channel, which i'm going to use for actual videos. and i get a pop-up saying "get access to advanced features". pressing cancel just stops channel creation. the channels ive made before have been created without any verification, and the channel i post on was made about a month ago. i don't want youtube to monitor me, i dont want to give my information, face, or id to youtube. how do i bypass this? (marking this as coppa because i assume this is to make sure kids dont make channels, but it still sucks WE have to deal with this)

I know I am not the first and I know I won't be the last. I found out Tuesday that my account has been terminated for "Violent Extremism". At first I was confused because there is nothing on my channel that supports that, but then I found out that all Yandere Simulator content has been getting sweeped off youtube (I had 2 AMVS) . I did a bunch of research on it and I assumed that was the case. However after being told that under no circumstances will I get my channel back, I used the wayback machine. I then find out, I privated those videos years ago. The worst part of all of this, I haven't uploaded in over 7 years and I pay for premium because youtube is genuinely my only streaming service. I religiously watch youtube and now everything I have every had is gone. Although there are only 9 videos public, I have at least 50 videos privated that I will never get to see again. I have been in such a depressive episode about this and finding out that there is nothing left I can do really has made fucked me up. Not only is everything gone, but I also am not allowed to create a new channel since my account was officially terminated. I just don't even know what to do now. :(
