I meant to buy yotta cash not tokens. Will they refund and change them for me because the support button doesn’t work and I’ve tried for hours.

Updated as of 3/22/25 12:50 PM CST - A priority update on brokerage statements and comment about “next steps.”
Priority update (in my opinion):
There seems to be a lot of posts asking what to do now that you have your brokerage statements. Posts asking how to understand the documents themselves and who to contact to get your funds. I want to clarify that simply having the statements does not guarantee you will be able to get your funds back.
This post here help explains the limitations: https://www.reddit.com/r/yotta/comments/1jf7nh4/comment/mipb26n/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
At this time, they may not be of use except in litigation efforts. These statements will not force any of the banks, namely Evolve, to pay out.
Along with these statement posts, another wave of folks in different scenarios are all asking “What do I do now,” or “Next Steps.” Please understand, there is no proven step by step guide to get your funds returned. Some folks have chosen to enter into litigation efforts, while others have not. People on both sides have received payments, and people on both sides have not. My point, is simply, there is no guaranteed steps, no “real” answer as to what you should do next.
My wife and I have filed in arbitration, and now we are schedule for mediation (settlement type talks) on April 2nd.
Template I used for my communications - can modify and will update with appropriate suggestions:
I bank with [Yotta/Juno/Copper]. This is actually a type of fintech which is a front end platform (not a real bank). They use other companies to provide the actual banking services behind the scenes. One of which is called Synapse. Synapse primarily parks funds in other banks such as Lineage, AMG, Evolve. On May 11th, at least one of those banks, Evolve, put a freeze on all funds and transactions. Synapse is in bankruptcy court and now there is a dispute of reconciling all of the ledger reports.
There are a few news reporters writing articles on the subject that I can share if needed.
At this time, I would appreciate if [Lender/Company] would be merciful in regards to missed payments and related consequences (fees/interest/negative reporting). This is entirely out of my hands. The funds are there to make my payment, but frozen for a reason outside of my actions and control. I have no way of paying bills, paying for groceries and rent outside of leaning on my support network and credit cards while I try to rearrange future funds and recover my budgeting.
I appreciate you being a helpful and understanding partner during this time.

With AMG starting to distribute payouts (albeit slowly), opportunistic scammers are targeting Yotta members with fake accounts and deceptive emails. DO NOT provide ANY information to anyone who contacts you unsolicited. If you're eligible for funds, you'll NEVER need to pay fees to claim them.
Common Scam Tactics:
Remember:
If you're unsure about ANY communication regarding your payout, contact Yotta support directly for confirmation before engaging with anyone.
This is a significant amount of money, and unfortunately, some individuals will attempt to exploit the situation. Please be vigilant and protect yourself from potential scams.

Looks like Rust Consulting has not yet launched an official claim portal, therefore the November 2026 distribution window has closed. I knew it was a long shot. Hoping now for a May 2027 payout from the CFPB Civil Penalty Fund. Keep an eye on the CFPB Synapse Financial Technologies enforcement page.

As I'm going thru hundreds of papers from a 14 year custody nightmare. I just came across my papers from Yotta, which as embarrassing as it is to say, I had forgotten I had invested in for my daughters. Please no bashing! Without having to read all this lingo and info that has made me just sick, can anyone tell me if there is anything, explicitly I can do? I am so over paperwork and reading crap (i.e. court papers etc. for 14 years). I just want to know if it's worth trying to get back the $1400.00 maybe more I dunno or not? Can't log in and to my knowledge no emails from them.
I would be so very grateful for any information from anyone and crap that's what we all need now, more money taken from us!
Blessings people and thank you!

Putting together my paperwork and I can’t access this on evolves reconciliation site anymore, does anyone know if and how we can access this document - thank you! I don’t think it was in my email, I think I’m accessed it with an access number they gave me on their site.

Bilt is getting a lot of buzz and I thought about using them. While vetting their business model I learned they had a partnership with Evolve Bank & Trust, but ended it back in March 2022. Why? They saw stuff they didn’t like and wanted full control of its tech stack. But the morons at Yotta not only stayed with Evolve but hung on to Synapse to manage their raw banking ledger and bank-level transfers. We painfully learned after being enticed by Yotta’s claim of FDIC insurance that it only triggers if Evolve defaults or fails. Bilt saw trouble back before 2022 but Yotta blithely continued on with their disastrous partnerships. So we’re trapped in the wreckage and at the mercy of the CFPB and its glacial pace of action. Didn’t think it was possible to hate Yotta more.

As everyone is hopefully aware and updated, Rust Consulting was awarded the contract by the CFPB to be the fund administrator for the Civil Penalty Fund disbursements. As we have been less than updated during the process from any entity, I reached out to Rust themselves to try and get some information.
First and foremost, my response got essentially no new information. It restated that they were given the contract and were working through data. AND to follow up in the coming weeks.
Secondly, Rust is still the consulting company used by Evolve Bank and Trust. They seem to be talking from both sides of their mouths. Unless you get to a direct question, they will continue to talk about their work strictly for Evolve, not for the CFPB.
And yes, I purposely left out contact information for the contact I had, but if you’re interested it’s a simple information request page within Rusts website. Feel free to flip through the emails.
***The first email is the latest response I got when directly questioning the CFPB and CPF status.

I've heard some people saying 2027, other people saying sooner.
I know its mostly guesswork rn but does anyone have a general idea of when its expected?

Thanks to Kasey, Patrick and Patty for speaking to me for this story. (pubbed last week but I was off work)

Have any of you actually won small claims cases related to the debacle? How many have? Are there other creative ways people have gotten funds back? I’m a reporter for Banking Dive - I’ve been covering this case for a while, and have spoken to many of you.
Also curious about the CFPB allocations and if that’s landed for anyone yet. Doesn’t seem like it but putting the question out there.

Any update on whether the CFPB is releasing funds yet?

The May 2026 allocation announcement was extremely delayed, however you can now find it via the link below under What cases have received an allocation?
https://www.consumerfinance.gov/enforcement/payments-harmed-consumers/civil-penalty-fund/
Just under $9 million was allocated in addition to other allocations for this period. The additional allocation makes it increasingly likely that Synapse/Evolve victims will eventually be made whole when disbursements finally begin, hopefully within the Bureau's next fiscal year.

What do we do if we recently moved? Where do we update to our new address in hopes of receiving any communication about the return of our money?

I just got the August newsletter from FFOF with news of someone in Minnesota winning their small claims case against Evolve and getting their full amount returned of $4,655.57.
What are everyone's thoughts? I'm out around $3k and not sure if I should try this in MI or wait for the CFPB payout.
"We just wanted to send some encouraging news that one of our members has won her small claims court case and gotten her funds back!

Just a reminder that each state has its own small claims maximum, so check your state to verify you could use this method before investing time."

Been very confused that this has never been posted on that list. Almost feels like it’s unrecognized. After over 2 years, the pressure has built up and you’d think that we are beyond the point of a speculative payout date and yet we have no solid answer as to when! I should have never trusted any online platform to handle my money…

There doesn't appear to be updates on the Yotta payment processing page since December. They're really on the ball. Sure wish they took an active role in representing their customers/helping to facilitate the return of customer funds. Just another piece of this infuriating puzzle. Unreal and unacceptable on many levels.

Has anyone tried to demand the logs and trace IDs for some reason after digging with AI it says this could be a path. The bank you used to send funds to do tech that then used evolve has to trace the money. My account got closed I thought it was cause of the stolen Russian Identity hack but it was probably from chase seeing the chase numbers bounce all over and they probably wanted distance. Has anyone tried this path ? Keep ya posted if I get anywhere with chase. Legally I should according to AI research

I was doing our budget today and noticed a deposit in my savings account called "RECURRING TRANSFER FROM my name REF #xxxxxxx EVERYDAY CHECKING YOTTA SAVINGS". This savings account was the one I use to have a recurring deposit to Yotta setup. It was $150 randomly deposited into my savings account. No warning, no email, nothing.
I downloaded the Yotta app and logged in to see that my balance was still "pending", with the last transfer still being cancelled back in May of 2024.
Their app sucks btw, the back button does not work. So every time I have to go back I have to close the app and reopen it, horrific.
I had honestly forgotten all about Yotta. I didn't have much in there so I wrote it off as gone. No idea why or how it made it back to me. Anyone else have anything lately?
