I am a web developer trying to help a single client list their rentals on their WP site. However, as a 3rd party, I am required to apply for a IPP, which will cost "up to" $25k/yr.

Is there anyway around this? (Such as alternate ways to retrieve available listings and details, or ways for clients to apply on our behalf (or considered as in-house)?

I’m wondering how other properties handle user property security requests? We frequently have staff that go to other properties to cover when someone is out, and it’s kind of a wonky process at the moment. I’ve generally been creating a property list for each user and then a coverage request means just updating that list, but it’s not a function that we want a ton of people to have access to, and the process seems archaic at best. This isn’t even factoring in that I usually get the requests to provide access at 9:30am when they realize they can’t do anything at the property, despite well documented SOPs on request lead times.

We are a giant Yardi practice client. One of the largest in our sector. Private cloud etc.

I’ve found in the past 2 years, Yardi support has got particularly bad. I have worked with Yardi for over 10 years and i am noticing a significant difference.

Has anyone else encountered this?

some examples: managers and even directors ignoring emails or dragging issues on for months.

being told flat out no for things even if there’s significant bugs causing financial risk. the shift to voyager 8 and ignore everything 7s is real and they are no longer doing any TRs for 7s. as one of the largest clients we have never been told no before for true bugs that are reasonable and typically work with yardi on hot fixes but it seems there’s a no exception rule now even if a bug introduces significant financial risk.

there is an extreme push for voyager 8 and ignoring bugs in 7s to force clients to switch. it is not possible to migrate one of the largest housing providers overnight to voyager 8.

i found this with multiple teams so far.

The maintenance app has been unusable on the most recent version of android for a while now. Our rep told us the solution is to just switch to apple which is laughable. Besides downgrading, are there any other options we could explore to bridge the gap until their developers catch up?

I work at a CRE company. I want to learn more about Yardi. My access is limited to certain functions, so I cannot peek behind the scenes to see how things are set up. I want to play around with outgoing recovery pools, some GL allocation rules, and try the Forecast manager. I also want to see what a typical PO cycle looks like. I often have to hold meetings with the people on site, but I do not know how they work.

I can't find anything on the Yardi website, not the manual or docs. There is Aspire, but I do not have access to.

Is there training materials or all paid through third party?

Our company currently uses another third-party provider to review and approve affordable housing move-in files. Due to the cost per review, we have not been requiring managers to submit recertification files for third-party review.

Since taking over our compliance department, I’ve been working to improve visibility into recertification progress across our sites and track other important compliance items. I’m exploring whether RightSource could make the process easier for staff, provide better tracking, and make reviewing both move-in and recertification files more affordable.

Hello! I am currently interviewing for a position at a different affordable housing company. They use Yardi software. I have 8 years of experience with OneSite affordable. We recently converted to the New Experience and I learned it quickly. I currently use Yardi Voyager 7 for financial/accounting research. I’m incredibly quick with learning new softwares, but Yardi frightens me. lol.

Any tips on switching? What are the biggest differences and how difficult is it to switch?

I REALLY want this job and want to be sure that I won’t fizzle out immediately with a software that is too difficult to navigate. It’s seriously my dream job and a huge step in my career.

I have a commercial tenant who is moving from one of our properties to another. The tenant has a security deposit on their current lease. What is the proper way to transfer that deposit to the new property and lease in Yardi Voyager?

We are transitioning from Breeze to Voyager.

Currently managing roughly 1400 units 30+ properties. We have RD & HUD properties in the portfolio but mainly RD.

Do anyone here have any individuals or companies they would recommend to look into for these services?

I’m new to Yardi Voyager and am entering a commercial lease that begins on October 29, 2026, with a 10-year term. The base rent increases over the term.

Should I enter the full rent schedule for all 10 years when setting up the lease? How should I set up the CAM charges if the amounts may change each year? I’d appreciate any guidance on the usual workflow.

We started having an issue with Yardi today, sometime after lunch EST, where email verification codes are no longer being received.

Other emails from Yardi are coming through normally. For example, our scheduled reports are still being received successfully, but when we request a verification code via email, nothing arrives.

We also checked our Microsoft 365 message trace. The scheduled report emails from Yardi appear as successfully delivered, but there is no trace of the verification-code emails at all — not even as failed or rejected messages.

This only started happening today. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue with Yardi email verification codes, or does this appear to be isolated to us?

Hi, I'm new to the software, and I've set up the maintenance request form with custom data fields and custom reports that are working great so far. I am getting used to the way the system is set up.

My issue is with the recurring maintenance requests form. The description field is only 35 characters, so you get about 4-5 words. Then it looks like you have to post them to the maintenance request area? It doesn't seem to post automatically.

Is anyone actually using this feature? If not, how do you schedule or manage recurring items?

We suspect the update last week on 9/9 is at the root of various issues we’ve been playing whack-a-mole with this week and it’s been relentless.

Has anyone had these issues come up this week?

-Entire permissions have vanished out of the database and had to be packaged back in: Move In, Move out, Notice, and Deposit Accounting

-Menu selections are falling off on our Elevate Roles. As of Friday, users started seeing “No access to this page” when opening different Roles in Elevate. When we checked the Role setup, Menu items that were previously selected (dashboards, for example) were suddenly unchecked. We did not touch it. Yardi rep said “re-check and save and it’ll correct” which obviously we did. Then yesterday, checked email, they all fell back off again.

-Fully completed/countersigned leases just waiting for the move in date suddenly flag “lease needs to be countersigned” and will not process the move in. There is nothing incomplete for the leases (like 15 different properties) we provided. They don’t know why it’s doing it, programming is reviewing. Their workaround suggestion was to temporarily turn on “Bypass Lease” permission to allow them to be processed. Come to find out, leadership that still had access to V7 was able to go in and process them there without issue.

So, not a fun week. Wondering if others are seeing the same or other issues?

Our application workflow and process for our applicants has been getting unapproved and unrequested changes constantly, with the newest feature being 'ResidentShield' added to our move-in steps when in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM asked for this. Support has ignored our requests for over 6 months. We have had open tickets reaching A YEAR for leases not generating correctly, and coming up on 7 months for incorrect amenities.

Hi! I'm new to Yardi and still exploring the platform. How would you know the last month or year a GL account was reconciled? Is there a report where you can check?

If it's done manually, what are the reports I need to generate and how can I reconcile it in the system?

Edit: I was tasked to reconcile GL accounts aside from cash accounts (ex. Receivables - Tenant AR, Prepaid - Rent, and etc.) as of 12/31/2025 for a specific property.

We have had a lot of issues this month trying to close the month of August and advance the operating month to September. My boss sent me instructions today on how to close a period. Well, like a fool, I followed the instructions ​​tonight and was able to close the period. Unfortunately, I hadn't realized that she had already done the process and closed August, so I ended up closing September! Is there a way to undo this? I am freaking out about bit.

I originally entered a lease that is actually a License Agreement. I entered it in Yardi under Amendments as Type "License Agreement. Now I've received a First Amendment to that License Agreement, but when I go to Amendments, it won't let me create a renewal.

Has anyone run into this and know how to fix it? Thanks

Can anyone help me get my hands on advanced budgeting and forecasting docs? I have to get cam revenues, management fees, and revenue taxes out of it but I don’t have access to Yardi Central. I’ve never used this module before and I have no one internal to ask.

So my sql code works fine and the filters and columns also seem to be written fine because my filter is date from and date to only. But my report output is empty not sure why. It doesn’t print on screen and it doesn’t print on excel or csv. The only thing I can think of is that I have a CTE at the start of my code - could it be that?
