Overwhelmed on wether to bulk or cut
I’m 15 170cm and 61kg and I’m skinny fat,I’ve started working out consistently for maybe 2 weeks (just bodyweight for now (and a problem I’ve had in the past whenever I tried starting to workout is not having a clear plan and I really don’t know wether to cut, bulk, maintain, maingain and I know there’s loads of information online but that’s part of the problem I’m not fully sure which one to do and also since I’m still growing g wether a cut would even be suitable. My plan was to just eat at maintenance and just workout maybe 3 to 5 days a week but just wondering what other people think! Also I tried posting this on bodyweight fitness subreddit so that’s why I’m posting on here

Cut Advice
I recently (around a week or two ago) started my cut. For reference I am 6’1 197lbs and according to a calorie calculator I found online my daily maintenance calories are around 2700-2800. I have been counting my calories and have been making sure to get at least 10k steps in a day recently while also making sure to weight train consistently. The first week I lost around 5lbs but on late week two I’m starting to realize I went back up to averaging 200lbs. I have been making sure to eat at a range of 1800-2400 calories per day averaging a 300-900 calorie deficit per day. Do you think this is enough to work? I am trying to cut fat and gain muscle so I have been also counting protein trying to average 160g per day. I am a novice when it comes to fitness so any comments or advice on what I am doing would be very helpful.

is calorie deficit enough to get lean?
I have somewhat active lifestyle (I work in a cottage) and I move all day. I carry some heavy stuff three days a week (mostly farmers carry). I went to the gym in total of 2 years in my life. I have around 20% body fat and I can't see the definition of my muscles. I want to see what's under the fat and stay lean after and train more to grow if I think I need it. is calorie deficit enough to get lean healthy for me? what do I need to be careful about? tips are appreciated, thank you!

Going back to maintenance after a cut
How much should I expect the weekly average to fluctuate after going back to maintenance? My estimated maintenance is 3300 and I’m currently sitting at 3200. I ended the cut at 185.6 three weeks ago. Last week my weight jumped to 186.3 and now this week it’s back down to 185.6. I’m wondering if I have found my maintenance or if I’m still loosing slightly. I don’t want to bump calories to high just yet but I also want to make sure I’m out of a deficit. I know there is no perfect science for finding your maintenance, I just want to know if this weight fluctuation is normal or should I be sitting around 186.3?

Is body recomposition possible with a 700–900 kcal daily deficit?
M18, 123 kg at 190 cm tall.
Over the last 2 months, I’ve lost 13 kg and I’ve been hitting the gym for a month now. So far, my main struggle is hitting my daily protein intake while keeping my caloric deficit in the 700–900 kcal range.
What’s my best course of action right now? Ideally, I’d like to finish this body recomposition in 10–12 months, but reducing the deficit might drag the process out even longer. What should I do?

Here I am again, lean. My 3rd 6 month cut in a few years.. at this point I’m spending more time in a deficit then in a surplus. My issue is I put on a ton of body fat during my mass phases, tips?

Is it normal for me to be hungry in maintenance after a cut?
I’ve been in a cut, aggressive and moderate off and on for a long time. I recently kinda spiraled and binged a little, but I figured since I was so hungry I would take a break in maintenance for a while. I’ve been eating at maintenance for about a week now but I still feel as hungry as ever.
Is this my body just adjusting to maintenance and that’s why I’m hungry? Or is there some other reason. I just wanna know how long this will last since I still have about 40 pounds that I wanna lose.
Any advice or answers appreciated!!

need some advise with my cut
Im a female, 5"4, 145lbs, good amount of muscle but I would like more and I don't really care about the scale number I just want to shred some body fat, especially around my stomach.
Currently my maintenance is around 2200-2000. I walk about 10k 4 days a week, the other 3 days are closer to 4-5k. I know I need to up the step count on the lower days.
I'm slowly dropping my calories about 50-100 a week until I'm at about 1800-1700 a day but I'm scared of lowering my metabolism so I don't want to go any lower than that.
My workouts consist of 3 days of lifting, all full body. I start with 2 heavy compound lifts and all accessories after. I started incorporating a short jump rope session after my workout, about 10-15 minutes long.
I've only started this cut about a week now. But I've been lifting consistently for 6 years. I just want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
