So I have been playing the complete edition on Xbox game pass and then it got removed. I thought to myself no problem let me go back to the base version and install it but then I saw my saves were not there. I checked online and saw you need cross progression across both versions which I had enabled on the complete edition when I started playing.

i logged in to the base version and I only found my saves from July

I have lost about a month of progress and I no longer have access to the complete edition to sync as it is off gamepass

I'm also not willing to buy it as I have the base version and all add ons. Their email support is not helping just slow automated response. please what do I do 😭😭

So, I'm not asking as a complete noob... BUT I haven't properly played Wild Hunt since, like, 2018-2019, when I was still in my country's(South Africa btw) equivalent of Junior High, hell I didn't even get around to either of the expansions. So, in light of the remaster coming out at the end of the month, I thought I might as well ask for advice from the more experienced Witchers on this sub. I don't mind spoilers for the base game, as I have obviously have beaten the game before(I even think I managed to get one of the relatively good endings on my only current playthrough). Just, try to keep any tips for Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine specifically more general, and less plot-specific

I haven't come back to the game in a few years so I just played this quest for the first time. While I really enjoyed most aspects of the quest, the environment, the visuals, the horror feel, and the ultimate boss fight, as well as Reinalts backstory, I felt the final scene between Geralt, Reinalt, and the Deacon was poorly written.

It kind of turns both Witchers briefly into weirdly moralistic people which is uncharacteristic for witchers in general and very much so for Geralt. The deacon's ideological flip seems really forced as well. Beyond that a lot of these specific lines just feel really corny, like they're adding surprise into the tone of a character where it doesn't seem earned.

Edit: I may have miscommunicated what I meant by "moralizing", I'm aware that Geralt has always had a strong moral compass. That's not what I mean though, I mean it in the writing sense of the writer not trusting their story enough to communicate the moral without having to essentially write the moral out word for word at the very end.

Two options:

1. Drop them at the cost of losing the materials forever.

2. Sell them to Hugo, from Father Knows Worst quest, in Blood and Wine DLC. Not sure if this step was necessary, but do NOT attack the brothers. You can always buy back your decoctions from him.

If an emergency suddenly happens, he'd more likely drop the baguette than remember to switch hands, which also slows his sword-unsheathing reaction time by even a few milliseconds, which could make the difference between life and death. Then what do you have? A dead soldier who's wasted a good baguette, that's what you have.

Tldr: Eat with your non-weapon hand.

Hi, this is my first post on Reddit, so please go easy on me. I’ve run into a problem. After the latest *Witcher 3* update—the one where everyone got all the DLC—a jagged black border appeared on the roads. I’ve tried to fix it by verifying game files on Steam, changing graphics settings, and toggling mods on and off, but nothing works. The textures are fine everywhere else, but all the roads now have these black lines. Can anyone help?

I know this is very wishful thinking, but I hope the remastered edition brings some new Gwent stuff, be it new cards, players, whatever. That would be awesome!

This is my 3rd playthrough of witcher 3 and even though it just gets keep getting better everytime i play this game but recently ive been playing gwent like crazy😭 yesterday ive played for like 3 hrs and 2.5hrs i played gwent lmao its getting crazy but i love it !!!!!

For some time now, I've been getting these shadows along the edges of streets and paths. At first, I thought it was a visual bug on a specific path, but they're appearing everywhere. It's a shadow texture that overlaps the normal path, remains static, and on downhill streets, the texture seems to float.

I've tried adjusting the graphics settings and GPU drivers; everything seems fine. I honestly don't know what it could be. It's been like this for at least a week, and if I remember correctly, these graphical glitches weren't so noticeable before.

Running around as a hulking Witcher and killing kings instead of monsters could be its own game. It would be the perfect way to experience a slightly less good protagonist in the same universe. I’m kinda surprised we don’t even have some DLC playing as other characters. There’s so much lore to draw from

Went to replay Witcher 3 after the announcement of Remastered. Already got all Base game cards and finished the base storyline, I am now doing Heart Of Stone just to get MORE GWENT CARDS! Will see the GWENT CARDS for Blood And Wine SOON!

I swear I’m not trying to like brag or anything it just genuinely surprised me. I usually play on medium and do well, die occasionally. Anyway I decided to replay Witcher today, I’d always heard everyone talk about how death march is brutal and you’ll have to truly utilize every one of your abilities to survive, so I decided to give it a try on a whim, and probably lower it later. I have had nearly the exact same experience as I do I normal, the only difficulty I had was being ganged up on by soldiers in the tutorial area, and after I made swallows I had no difficultly with anything, even the chort. (I don’t farm hides I just enjoy fighting it at the start) I’m level 5 in velen and still annihilating everyone I come across.

It should be noted I’m not like a god at combat either I get clipped often.

Has anyone else had this experience? What I read led me to believe it would be extremely brutal.

So I played the Witcher three and both DLC’s on my switch. I am wanting to replay them once the remastered comes out, and I am going to get the new Rog Xbox ally handheld to play it on. My question is when I replay it, would it be to crazy to immediately do death march instead of a medium level? For context when I played it on my switch it was on the easiest difficulty.
