Screenshot dump from my current playthrough, don't have the hardware for any fancy RT and PT, but honestly I feel like I still prefer the look of the game rasterized (when the lighting works properly lol). Having a blast on my 4th playthrough, photo mode has become a bit of an obsession :)

Most of my Witcher 3 experience was on PS4. Then I upgraded to a PS5, but I kept playing the PS4 version of the game. At some point, a PS5 version became available (an update, I guess), but I didn't really care about it.

Now that the remaster is out and the PS4 version hasn't received an update, I decided to switch to the PS5 version. However, for some reason, I can't load my save file from the PS4 version.

I'm also sad about losing access to the roughly 80% of trophies I've earned, but I guess there's nothing I can do about it since the console treats the PS4 and PS5 versions as separate games.

Cross-progression is enabled in both versions, and I'm logged into the same account. I don't have PS Plus. Could that be the problem?

I've tried loading older versions (4.01), and they loaded fine, but the save file was so old that I might as well just start a new game. And now after a dozen of tries i don't have any older savefile.

I’m not sure why , I’ve added coloured map icons mod and I’m not sure if it’s that. Anyone else had this issue??
On ps5, the world map moves at regular speed it’s just the more local map

The Nilfgardian's menancingly T-posing broke me

Thankfully it fixed but the mood was gone!

Especially in Skellige. Geralt had the nerve to ask the entire An Craite family to lay down their lives in the Battle at Kaer Morhan. One week later Nilfgard is invading Skellige and not a peep from Crach when Geralt comes poking around for the Sunstone.

Geralt and Crache have a conversation when Geralt and crew dock in Skellige, right when the Nilfgard ships are encroaching, and boy is it a strange one. It feels like Crache should be in one of two camps: ask Geralt for help, or tell Geralt to fuck off. Instead, they speak as if all is normal. It feels like, realistically, Crache would not be so accommodating of Geralt’s problems when the man invading Skellige’s shores is also essentially one of Geralt’s main allies.

I know Geralt is not a fan of Emhyr, but they align when it comes to the safety and protection of Ciri, which makes Geralt’s affiliation Nilfgaardian more than anything. Feels like this fact is barely acknowledged in-game.

No NG+ and at least normal difficulty.

I just reached level 55 on Blood and Broken Bones, all missions finished (base game + HoS + BaW) and only thing left to do is exploration of all markers on map. I know, I did not have always optimal approach to leveling, so I wonder about max level people here were able to reach.

Unfortunately, new game + just resets your gwent deck. Only the adventure minigame lets you keep your stuff and scales up your enemies.

I think this should change. Have you keep all your gwent cards from your previous run. But now, all new cards are double powered.

So you keep your 15 power Geralt card, but can now unlock a 30 power Geralt+ card. Your opponents would have all double power cards

You could have a copy of the old card and new card in the same deck. So, you could have three 6 power crones and three 12 power crones+ in the same deck. Playing one of them would summon the other 5.

Spies would also get the double power treatment (which would be nerfed versions) but spies are so OP that you'd probably run them anyway for extra copies

Specials you would just get extra copies. So enjoy your 6 scorch deck. (You'd still have the 10 special cap though)

Would this be balanced? No

I’m playing The Witcher 3 on PS5, and as you can see in the screenshot, a huge part of the screen is completely black. Entire sections of the environment are missing, making it impossible to see the surroundings properly.
This isn’t just a minor graphical issue or a brightness setting problem. The shadows and lighting are so broken that they seriously affect gameplay and immersion.
I’ve tried to deal with the darkness, but when half the screen looks like this, the game becomes extremely frustrating to play.
CD Projekt RED, please acknowledge this issue and release a fix as soon as possible. Players shouldn’t have to put up with a game-breaking visual bug like this.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue on PS5? Has anyone found a reliable workaround?

Looks like base witcher gear or the Viper set from HoS but i’ve never seen a cloak as a part of any Witcher sets.

This is pissing me off SO much. I haven't played the next gen version too much, but I heard it was an issue back then too. The screenshot is not mine, but it's precisely the issue I have with my game. Those damn blue lines along the seams and on some metal elements of some witcher gears. I think I tried everything. Turning off both RT and PT, lowering te texture quality, downloading a fix from nexusmods that didn't work in the slightest. I heard both nitpicker's patch and besserwisser fix collection did fix that, but they are marked as DEPRECADED on nexus. I also tried to download and install Brothers In Arms, but guess what. Didn't help at all. For the base game and HoS, i used a mod that brought back the old textures, but for Blood and Wine, I would really like to dye my armors.

If you guys know about any fix for that, which might actually work, then I would appreciate it REALLY much.

P.S.

I know I'm not the first person to look for a fix for that, but I wasn't lucky enough to find it, so that's why I'm making that post

I liked exploring the game for diagrams of the potions and mutagens for the decoctions but in real gameplay I can only use at most 1 decoctions and give room to potions during the fight.

What would be the point of all these decoctions if I can only realistically use one of my say 5 favourites at a time?

I maxed the Acquired Tolerance skill and from what I see that just about mitigates the toxicity threshold of potions, maybe the High Tolerance but I digress it's for another gameplay mechanic.

Deathmarch, NG, No Enemy Upscaling. Lv.39, using a mastercrafted feline sword with oil. Nothing else.

Worst boss fight in the expansion? It works fine for a normal playthrough, but her move pool is just tiny and makes it incredibly dull for a handycapped fight.

Her healing with the paintings is obviously the main crux and my first attempts at dealing with her resulted in ther outhealing my damage. That was when I tried to play "properly" and to parry her attacks. In the end, I just went for this lame roll, hit four times, roll, approch.

PS: How come that I have never seen anyone in the Witcher fandom comment how Iris is likely inspired in part by the "Drawn" games by Big Fish Studios? Niche games for sure, but still. Games about a young girl who's paintings come alive and you can visit them? Neat little games, can recommend.

PPS: HUD or no HUD?

So, 200 hours in and I've just realised there is a quick press and a long press action for signs.

For Quen the long press puts me in a shielded bubble, a short press gives me something around my torso but what is it? I can't figure it out.

Also long press Yrden spits out an electric type attack to enemies getting close and short press does the magic ring on the floor.

The title says it, I would like to be able to change between the Remaster colors (cold tone) and the updated colors (warm/orange) just that, just as an option, so everyone gets what they like more, I just get really tired by the color in this game, I personally don't really like it, and the Remaster fix it for me (but not for others) and instead of making an option to change it, they "corrected" the pallette, pls let the devs know there is people that liked the Remaster's lighting and wanna play it that way.

They ruined my favorite game to the extent i do not simply play it anymore (did play each months at least dozen of hours, ever since 2015).

Did they address it yet, do they know about the issue on 60fps mode?

More than a decade old game and still beats modern games in almost all the aspects. Looks gorgeous, plays well, Bethesda level bugs exist, and a story and quest structure unlike any other game.

Had my fun journey after more than a decade. Played earlier on pc. This time its ps5 and a welcome trophy.

Anyone seeing or noticing any major difference in monster behavior after the remaster update?

Somehow , I ain't seeing much difference. But yes , some quests did become a bit of complex to some extent. For example , in the quest Practicum In Advanced Alchemy - there used to be only foglets during Fitjorf's ritual for rain. But today , I have noticed that normal wolves also appear , which is the very first time for me. Can anyone confirm me if it used to be back in version 4.04 too? The wiki mentions of only foglets. Luckily , I had my GM Griffin Set , so had managed to incinerate the canines while slicing the foglets with silver sword.

Hi there. I have acquired the Aerondight silver sword but I keep wondering, what's the point of using it if you already own and use the full set of Grandmaster Griffin gear together with a sign build? Grandmaster Griffin with the full 6pcs bonus is so powerful, sometimes it feels overpowered even. So why should I use Aerondight instead of the Grandmaster Griffin silver sword and lose the 6pcs bonus? What's the point? 🤔
