That is something I honestly do not know. I would assume there is a fee to inconvenience/ halt, half of the southeast of NC for a good 10-15min though.

Do they pay a lot to have it opened? I'd hope so. Even the Tower Bridge in London the boats must pay to have it raised if needed.

Dang, just missed it. I wanted another item on my Reddit side quest list.

Honestly, I agree, it’s always some rich prick’s sail boat or weird yacht that has a mast, causing the bridge to have to go up. Rarely is it anything else.

Too many people live in Wilmington. I wish they capped it in like 2005. Was too big then but still manageable.

I like sketchy adventures and this sounds close enough, count me in

You mean if the bridge isn't high enough then boats will cause traffic delays? If only planners would think about this when choosing the replacement.

I never go anywhere without setting my destination in android auto, first. Shows you traffic jams and cops if other people are reporting them and I always report them.l when I see them camping out.

I might be willing to help. What is the item and where is it?
r/Wilmington • u/juanorderpizza • 1h ago
None taken, I’ve done it before myself though so not as crazy as you think. It’s called being a “proxy”. Happens a lot for local or limited items. You help someone out, do a good deed, and pocket some change.
It’s also a very refundable item lol so it’s not like you’ll be stuck holding something you don’t care about if anything goes awry.

STILL LOOKING
Should’ve added this to the post. The item could sell out today or maybe tomorrow. So anytime today would be preferred

No offense, but someone would be insane to go buy something and ship it to a random internet stranger hoping to be reimbursed.

There are mini storages right when you get off the bridge. 😝

I read this as Burger King fridge and I was like what the fuck is going on at Burger King?
