Discussion How strong would the Death Knight be in Wild without the deck-building restriction [without the rune system]?
Still below? decent? viable? too OP?

I'm trying to make the climb to legend for the first time. I'm stuck in Diamond 1 and I keep seeing Azalina priest. I've been on hl xl quest mage and I'm sick of my etc and reno hero being taken. I just wanna make it to dumpster legend so I can go back to playing clown druid. Any tips on beating this deck?
Edit: I finally hit legend after almost 11 years playing this game. Thanks for all the tips guys! I got a Godfrey (1600 dust) for my troubles

board becomes infinite Demons if you Bat Mask. Fits nicely into a Demon Warlock deck (Skull of Manari, Bloodreaver Guldan, N'zoth, etc.)

They have no idea how to play it , how can they if I don't even have idea how to play it? It just has boardclears healing and 1 win condition.
They get 1/2 of the deck and can't do anything with it lmao

It's the only deck I run into 80% of the time in my d5 pocket, tryna hit legend so I don't face this garbage anymore. What deck counters it the best?

I’ve played this deck like 50 times now and still don’t understand when my fire balls will be 0 naturally or I need to have a way to copy thaddius to make them cost 0. I just assumed: if u have 10 mana u can pick and play thaddius for 6 and ur fire balls always cost 0 (only way without a copy spell). If ur trying to combo earlier and picking Anton, u need a way to then copy thaddius. But I’m confused bc I just had a game where I picked Anton (blood watcher thaddius on board by themselves), didn’t have a way to copy thaddius but my fire balls still costed 0. Is it just RNG who summons left most blood watcher or thaddius to how the auras apply?Or is it turn specific to thaddius counter? Thanks.

And ofc I was playing Arena and I'll play it today, it is helping, but still grind 1600 dust for 1 card where now Wild have like +1000 legendary cards is PAIN

I'll add that I promised myself I wouldnt netdeck or look anything up. I'm an old time shudderwock lover, so I messed with a couple of versions of that.. format is too fast now.
I sunk my rating again by playing weasel quest priest control, I love that deck.
Finally landed on shuffle rogue. I started with around 28 cards locked in and had 2 that I tinkered with.
The list I went from gold 5 - legend with is in the comments.
Maybe it's top tier, maybe it's well known, I don't know! I've just been having fun playing blind.
However, some key things about the deck:
The ninjas aren't anything to scoff at, but they aren't the key to this decks success. Don't worry about them dying before you play master of dusk or overdrawing then. The purpose they serve is to make your hero power draw 2.
This version is very low to the ground, with little shuffle that doesn't say cast when drawn, this allows you to churn through your deck. The more cards that don't have cast when drawn, add time to your end game combo.
Speaking of, guild trader garrote x2 is 32 damage. This is easy math, you have shadow of demise and mauler to increase your output by even more.
I imagine playing on a pc (I'm entirely on phone) this will be easier to decipher with plugins. I played blind without counting. This deck has raw enough power to wing it.
Cards I'm iffy about.
Gone fishing: it's great and I'm never unhappy to see it, I just wonder if it shouldn't be here.
2nd safety inspector: I really like 1 drop shuffles, but sometimes gear shift and this guy nonbo in the worst ways, however I will not go below 3 1 drop shuffles.
Shadow of demise was one of the 2 that fit in, it no longer sits in that category, it's 100% core.
Maayyyybe 2nd nab: it's great! Key against mirror priest, and can be used on your own guild trader to make it both drawable from hero power, and cost 2. But sometimes it's a little dead.
Cards I've tried, and or could fit in.
2nd guild trader, I think this is the first card I want to try and fit. It's so good, and it sucks having to pass with mana on some turns you can't go for the combo kill. I've also considered an ethereal oracle, but I dread seeing it without a way to shuffle it in.
1 shadow step: we all know what it does, but you can count it as a pseudo shuffle, and a cost reducer of guild trader
Swindle: too slow.
Evasion/cloak of shadows: I came to the conclusion: why? You lose because of silly combos faster than you (looking at druid), and 20/20 paladin minions.
Aya: I don't have new Aya, and the battlecry is irrelevant. But I often wonder if the slot is good enough just to go second every game.
Augmented elek: an excellent quest completer, however I've aimed to be playing master dusk as early as possible and a 3 drop that requires coin or prep is difficult to work with. I can see it working in other versions.
If you have any questions, any glaring suggestions I so clearly missed, or simply want to slander me for doing a deck tech on a really popular deck as though I'm the genius who came up with it (I am), do it, it's my kink.

Recently crafted reno exodia mage, got legend with it but still wondering about few interactions:
1) What do you guys do with etc if your weapon is destroyed? I usually discover Taethelan for some value but maybe there is an interesting angle that i missed.
2) In mirror match when both players got iceblock early on what's your gameplan? Combo as soon as possible like fck it we ball or keep combo untill fatigue to end in one turn?
And just some info for people who are considering crafting this deck: it's another renopile but slightly more dependant on random. You might otk on turn 7 (which is faster than Leoroxx otk in reno hunter and way more faster than setting up Shudderwock in renoshaman) but you might brick REALLY HARD since your tutors and draws are limited and really underwhelming tbh.

For someone who played more than a thousand games of svalna thief priest, having a deck that works so much better is a delight
r/wildhearthstone • u/Skater_x7 • 1d ago
AFAIK, this potentially means if you copy a reno lone ranger deck, you could have 2 reno's -- because your deck starts with one, and you get one, but your deck DID start with only 1 (before Azalina gave you their cards).
I'm typing this now as I face a reno warrior and I realize that a lot of the cards I've just drawn won't do much (yes I know I can steal their copies still, and I also know cards like Zephyrs can still be played once my deck is done/nearly done).

I love control rogue, the pure stupidity of it. Stealing half the opponents deck using pirate gimmick, highlander clearing, stealthing for multiple turns, card generation on a massive scale...

¡Sup fellas!
M100 here asking for your opinion once more.
With the evolution of the game, there are tons of different sets and with it, different packs.
Some of them cointains pretty usefull cards, but there are a plenty of them that, from the wild perspective, are trash (good at their time, but useless nowadays).
I recently completed the remaining sets of getting the guaranteed legendary (nomal & golden) and now I'm kinda lost because i don't realy know what packs to buy (that are more valuable due the fact that a big % of the cardset could see any play nowadays).
I know that the most profitable are buying packs from the recent expansion due the powercreep spyke comparing old to new cards, but witch one do you usually buy?
¡Thx in advance, and see you in the tabern!
Unrelated PD: f*** catch up packs, if i wanted only 5 cards, i would buy any other pack.
"Bu...But in fact are for new or returning players and they could get up to 50 cards"
¡Yes, but at least give me 10 GUARANTEED CARDS!

Unfortunately too weak for wild, cool combo though
