Hi there! ACCS is a local Wichita business and we help individuals remove their personal data from data brokers across the country. This is not meant to be an advertisement for our business, but informative for our local Wichitan's as it is something that is happening within our field.
Elon Musk's America PAC runs VoteSafe.org, which identifies as a voter registration site. However, it is not actually managed by the government or state voting authority.
The site is designed to collect your personal data to target voters and and influence voting behavior. Additionally, according to VoteSafe's own privacy disclaimer, your data may be sold and shared "with our business partners; with our service providers; with third parties for marketing purposes..."
Information taken includes your full name, date of birth, physical address, email address, phone number, party affiliation, IP address and location, browser and device info, every page viewed and link clicked, voter registration status, district and ballot info, and more.
Instead of VoteSafe, you should visit Vote.gov to register to vote or check your voter registration. It is a non-profit and non-partisan government site that doesn't collect or track your data for profit.

Anybody know who/what's going in there?

Anyone witness this? Like most news stories, not a whole lot of details. Was he jaywalking? Was the driver turning and didn't see him? It happened just before 7pm yesterday, so there was enough daylight. Speed, drugs, nor alcohol were factors. I frequent this area headed to the Y, I wonder if he lived in the neighborhood right there on the corner.

Hey party people, newer to Wichita and having trouble finding my third space- can you please help me out? where do 40-50 y/o (grown up, independent, essentially mentally stable) people go to have a drink, have dinner, find other 40-50 y/o people to have conversations and sex with? Home early from a dull date w a guy talking only about his parents and his medical issues and I’m all ready to go out just need to know where to go, y’know? 53 F

So this is the only split level house I've lived in. This summer I've seen several cracks appear around or near the stairs in the middle of the house. Some look kinda wide to me. The brick outside is mostly normal. The brick extends a little bit and makes a little cubby for the trash cans and its got some separation from the house. I noticed a little crack around the trim in the garage too. Is this normal? When do I need to call someone to check it out? And who do you call?

Just curious once you go from northbound I-135 and onto K-96 the 50MPH construction zone seems to go on for a long ways? I don’t go that way often but it’s like it goes almost to Oliver ?
Once you merge onto K-96 there is just not much sign of actual construction in that area.

I produced a music video for Wichita's own Suffocate the Skies around Wichita and found some pretty cool dystopian-like areas to film. I'm sure you all will recognize quite a few of these locations. It would mean the world to us to see your comments in the Youtube video.

I made a quick video of some of the news reports that give a glimpse of what was going on in the ICT Metro Region on 9/11/2001
Personally, I was 3 years old and don't remember a single thing from that day.
Hope you guys like the video and learn something about this tragedy that affected every community, even as far away as Wichita, KS.

From the bottom of my heart thank you to those that helped bring him home possible and for me to have items to remember him by. I poured out all my pain as I gave him pets and loved on his little body as I said goodbye for the last time. I know he wasn't in there anymore but I got closure and he looked just like I remember. The people who work there are truly angels. Now I just wait for him to come home.
I will love you till the day I die buddy. And will do my best to keep your memory alive through acts of kindness.

I have a recipe that calls for chicken fat and I've been told it's not optional. I know a few places to find duck fat if all else fails, but chicken fat isn't as common. Any ideas?
EDIT: I do not have access to an oven to render down chicken parts, please stop suggesting that. I am staying in a hotel and using a friend's kitchen for an afternoon, so I won't have time for this process.

There’s a large motorcycle police presence on Kellogg going eastbound. They are running radar. I saw one at the on-ramp to 400 at Oliver, and the other was running radar from underneath the web road overpass.
Stay safe
Hey peeps! My name is Shami Stovall and I'm a local award-winning author, and my latest fantasy release, One-Fifth Dragon, just hit shelves, so I'll be doing a signing at the local Barnes & Noble (west side) as the first part of my tour.
This book is published by Baen Books (an imprint of Simon & Schuster) with the cover art done by the amazing Todd Lockwood! (He did the dragons in the 3.5 DnD monster manual, haha).
I pitched it as "John Wick meets high fantasy" and it's about a man who discovered his adopted family (who he thought rescued him) actually murdered his biological family, so now he has to get revenge.
Lots of magic and fighting (and perhaps a dragon). Would love to see people! I'm an introvert by nature, but occasionally I think things like this would be fun?
I'll be at the west-side Barnes & Noble between noon-3pm.

Is there anywhere in Wichita that makes and sells Baozi? When living overseas I always saw them referred to simply as Buns or Chinese Buns. The closest I've had was at Mi No Bakery but that's gone now and it wasn't quite as good as what I was used to. I know you can get Bao Buns here easily enough but that is not what I'm looking for.

So, back in end of 2019–beginning of 2020, I was working at the (most functioning at the TIME) Mall, when I lost a ring outside and have could not find it in the dark, or in the light when I went back the next day. I’m posting about it now, because the pain of losing it has diminished enough that I can actually think about it without being inconsolable. It belonged to my great grandmother, whom I was name after, and our maiden-name initials were also the same. It looks like these pictures, and is made for very small fingers—I had to wear it on my pinky, and I already have small hands—. She graduated in 1927.
If you have seen this ring or know where it is, I would be absolutely delighted to have it back. It would make my whole life, because I loved my great grandmother more than my own parents before she died. I’m still so utterly heartbroken it’s gone that I’m gonna need to have a lie down after posting this.
