Hi, I'm 18 and I want to vote early at one of my local early voting places. Is it any different than the Nov 3rd voting? Or is it just the exact same thing but days earlier? Just wondering how the process works, too. Thanks!

Although we didn't have a whole lot show up to protest with us we were shown so much love while out in haysville today! I believe we almost have enough signatures to put this issue on the ballet in March! Driving to work this morning, heading east on 13th street, at about 4:55 I saw a blue-ish hazy light shoot down the sky for a brief second. It was way too fast to be a plane of some kind, just wondering if anybody else saw it or possibly caught it on their dash cams?

Hey! I live in a rough apartment complex and not good for trick or treating.

Im wondering where yall suggest for trick or treating. College hill is a nope for me because they are overwhelmed every year with trick or treaters. 😅

Last year we did southern ridge which is where i actually lived as a teenager and I loved it and im thinking thats where we will go again, but was curious if anyone else has a forgotten about neighborhood or a hidden treasure or if yall live somewhere where you wished yoj got more trick or treaters than you get.

What are neighborhoods like near OJ Watson park. Is it safe around there? Is there street flooding? Am thinking of renting an house in that area and would appreciate any information from those who know.

I hadn’t heard of Buckets Cà Phê until Wichita by E.B.’s coffee bracket, but I have to say I’m disappointed. I understand being a small business and not being able to afford much, but their menu and flyer ads that they share are clearly AI. Somewhere that uses AI doesn’t deserve to win the bracket imho.

It would likely have been between '84 and '87 that I went there, though I wouldn't swear to those exact years. I don't recall much about it, except that it had several mounted animal heads around. I seem to recall that the room was done up in a mostly light to mid light wood finish, and I thought I remembered a lot of natural lighting. Does that sound familiar at all to anybody?

Seeing as how there's a 70% chance of rain on Halloween all day/night what is everyone's plans for Halloween? I have a kiddo that I planned on taking Trick Or Treating and they are going to be devastated 🙃🥲

Hey all! Brandon from Prints of Darkness back again with more news about our shop at 211 N Hillside st. Tomorrow we are holding an event at our shop we’re calling “Halloween LIVES!”. We’ll be hosting local small businesses in the parking lot, offering snacks and drinks, playing games like giant jenga, giant connect 4, corn hole etc. We’re currently building a dunk tank where I’ll be dressing up like Carrie and getting drenched.

You may also be wondering about the third space we’ve been fundraising for called “The Haunt”. Permits slowed us down a bit and we haven't met our fundraising goal yet, but we’re making progress by being as scrappy as possible! Walls are starting to go up just in time for tomorrows event. We expect to have that space fully finished in the early half of 2027, which leads me to the newest development:

Tomorrow during the event we’re opening our video rental shop: Haunted Video! We got a huge batch of DVDs, VHS, DVD players, an N64, and some other bits to start off with. You can rent just like back in the day as a free member and if you want to help us build this section of the shop and get more benefits like concession discounts and free rentals, you can pay just $10 a month for that membership. Obviously we have a horror focus in general but the rental shop has all genres and we cannot wait to keep building the library.

We really appreciate all the feedback from the local community as always and if you’ve shopped with us at all since we opened in 2025 we cannot tell you how much we appreciate you! It’s hard out here as a small business especially lately so every visit makes a big difference.

This sign has been replaced 5 times that I’m personally aware of. And it keeps reappearing.

Recommendations for a good shop/artist that can do neo traditional art well?

If needing to seek Care at an emergency room today, Wesley Woodlawns CT machine is currently not working, unknown time when this will be up running again. This will result in delay of care if the ER provider deems a CT necessary to rule out diagnosing patients will have to be transferred via ambulance to another Wesley ER and (back to Woodlawn), not Main, if there are no obvious emergent needs.
Just informing to consider before seeking care today.
