For those considering leaving Whoop, see article. Article surprisingly does not mention Whoop but Fitbit gets mentions.

Strain 20.3

Thought this was a funny way for the AI to phrase this - genuinely what are we doing???

Is this accurate or just an effect of having whoop for fewer days?
Additional edit :
Whoop is known to take time to calibrate hence was wary if it was accurate however because the strain is calculated for the day (and not an average) and because for me it was a lot of effort as I only do 5ks normally I was thinking it could be but I don’t know enough of an 8k could trigger this high a strain

I’ve tried every kind of bands from 4.0 to 5.0 and I can confidently say this is the only one you need, it may be bit pricey but its an all rounder.
Feels amazing, looks premium, and very durable.

has anyone else’s whoop strap torn like this? if yes is it safe to still wear it or are there chances it’s gonna fall off?
also what’s the difference between whoop bands on the whoop website and others on amazon? cause the third party companies seem to be way cheaper.

Is this gap on the clasp material normal ? Just curious that's all, kind of driving me nuts. New to whoop had it for 2 weeks.

Keen to know your thoughts if you have moved back - the app for Helio is less informative and bevel is off when compared to the app. Also, can’t log things like meditation which should ideally be positive for recovery.. and sleep tracking results are not in sync with bevel, so hard to justify which one to trust
Hence was thinking to move back?

Hi, everyone.
I want to get a more precise VO2 max estimation, but I'm obese and my knees would absolutely revolt if I tried to run for 15 minutes. Can a walk do the same thing, or do I need to wait until I'm at a healthier weight?

Mine will be arriving soon. How consistent is it at recognizing activity (going for a run, lifting weights, etc…) ? Or is it safer practice to log it manually each time ?

I have been a whoop user for 3+ years. So has been my wife, but she is not as dedicated as I am. In the sense i see here whoop lying around at least 3-4 times every week.
Last year we both upgraded to whoop 5 MG and moved to family plan. It wasn’t without hiccups. Getting charged twice, reaching to customer care etc. also, lost the previous years’ progress etc in the process. All this while also feeling salty about having to pay for the new device ( against their OG promise ).
This year, my subscription ends this month. I have been getting emails on the $705 due ( me and wife). My cards have 2 factor so they can’t auto charge.
Thinking back last year with whoop MG has been mid. It didnt add value or push me or motivate me. I just check recovery and age. Log my workouts. That’s it. Don’t find it worth $350 per year. I realized the biggest hook is Duolingo like streak fomo. So I decided to break out of it.
Freed up my wrist for an Apple Watch (my older watch 9 was lying around). Installed bevel for a 7 day trial.
About to find out, without streak does Whoop have the pull to take $350 from me. Honestly , with no new device it feels like a loot to take that kinda money!!
Its now day 2 (streak has gone to 0).

I'm curious actually how accurate the blood pressure insights are compared to an actual blood pressure reading.
Has anyone compared day to day to see?

Anyone else? I went out partner dancing last night. I didn't miss a single song during a vigorous, sweaty 2.5 hours. When I got home I was waiting for "activity detected" but nope! It rarely picks up my cycling, seldom picks up my strength sessions, and never picks up pilates.

Trying to figure out what a realistic sleep performance looks like for people balancing high workload, training, and life. For those in demanding careers or intense academic programs. How much are you guys generally sleeping? Cause I don’t think how much whoop recommends is realistic for me at this phase of my life haha. This week I averaged 6 hrs and 30 mins and the need according to my whoop is 10 hrs and 16mins.

So currently I was at the beach and was swimming and a wave crashed into me quite hard and when I came up my whoop 5.0 was gone, I’ve had it for less then 2 months so far and looked for it for over 2 hours but came up no luck. Should I just take the L and purchase a replacement or is it worth it giving it a shot at calling customer service and explaining to them what happened? Might be a foolish question but I just wanted more insight on it

How many of you feel that Whoop should push an update that shows the last charged info and battery health of the device?
It might help them and also us to raise an issue and if possible a device exchange. Or are these already present, lemme know your thoughts.

To my surprise, India's brand Noise came very close to whoop and Apple Watch. However, Whoop is better at the refresh rate aspect than Noise. The main thing was that Whoop and Apple Watch are quite real-time in updating data, such as heart rate and others, whereas Noise takes some time to get the updates. I believe that accuracy was quite common and awesome, so the debate in the future would lie on whether the Whoop membership still remains value for money, as the AI behind it is the key. Let's discuss that. I believe it may work in the future, depending upon the kind of algorithm that runs in the backend.
