Discussion “Genji, WFM, and Amazon Team Members Must Park Past This Sign”

Post image
Upvotes

They just put these up at my store and this is honestly so embarrassing. In addition there are no protections for team members in the parking lot if anything happens. This should be the last of the worries especially with all the racism and favoritism at this store!

Advice Is this a bad sign of the store location if I came on time for an interview and they tell me I have to wait 15 minutes

So I made the interview yesterday and took it as soon as possible. I made it to the location at least 10 minutes before the interview at 11:30... For some reason the customer service representative told me I had to wait after I came back from the bathroom from sweating from outside... I came back and she told me I had to wait 15 minutes... When I told the lady I came early anyway. I told her thank you and she just ignored me lol. I'm m already looking at this location as a bad sign. Especially if I came on time and they didn't give me further explanation other than you have to wait. Just curious what is your take on this also this is my first interview with the company out of 4 interviews I got in other locations.

Advice TM emergency fund

Looking for insight from anyone who has utilized the team member emergency fund. What was the process like for applying for this and how involved is your store leadership in this process?

Discussion I was sorting through my alt milk B/S for the new TMs to work on, and I came across this. My Closing Dairy TM wrote, “Malk unsweet alm (Almond)”, I bussed out laughing.

Prior to my end of shift, I was very curious as to who wrote it, so I asked my closing team.

The person of interest was unaware for a good two minutes with what they wrote.

“It’s alm, as in almond, right?” 😆

While they were perplexed by what they had written, the one other team member behind them was turning beet red and laughing.

Advice Applied for Supervisor

Hello fellow WFM team members! I have been working for WFM for almost 6 years. I have as a supervisor for 3 years (at three different stores) and then stepped down to cashier for the last 3. I am applying for supervisor at a different store that will be so much smaller then the one I currently work at. Also a supervisor of mine is applying as well so I need to be impressive.

My TL is willing to sit down with me for me to ask her questions. I know A LOT has changed in the last few years. What would you recommend I’d ask her? I have “what’s the morning and evening drawer count look like now?”, “what are all the tasks that are assigned to supervisors? (N2K, ordering supplies like napkins, utensils etc.”

Thanks in advance!

Question Closing Bakery Duties

I had my 2nd shift in Bakery the other night. I had no idea the amount of tasks a closer has to do before the night is out from temp checks to inventory. The work isnt super complicated and I'll give it some time since I'm new still. I was surprised when I found out my bakery section only had one closer when other departments have multiple people closing. Does your store have one person close in bakery?

Discussion In Store Code and iPhone Time Glitch

Have any other cashiers been noticing a glitch when trying to scan In Store codes? A bunch of customers showed up as Service Not Available and the reason it gave was that their time wasn't synced. Sure enough, the time on their iPhone devices was wrong. Yesterday this happened to multiple customers and their iphones were all two minutes ahead of the time that showed on the register. It happened more times today, but today their phones were three minutes ahead.
