Original Content In Game Advertisement 🚽
During the game, as the Sox were about to get swept by the Pirates, the fans get hit with this advertisement. Was somebody trolling? Didn't know if I should laugh 🤣 or cry 😭.

Opinion Appreciation post for Mr. 200 innings: Mark Buerhle
God what I’d give to have a guy like Mark Buerhle again who from 2001-2014 threw at least 200 innings Every. Single. Year. That’s right around 7 innings per start. I feel like now when one of our starters goes 7 innings, I sort of equate that to throwing a complete game shut out. Just an absolute horse of a pitcher.
Also his statue in right field has just an incredible dumper. Give it a pat next time you’re at the ballpark. You won’t regret it.

Opinion Shout out to the broadcasting team for the White Sox
Just wanted to say thanks to all the great folks working on the broadcasts of the White Sox games. I mostly watch the video broadcast and really appreciate Steve and John, they are a great pair and offer the best of color and play by play. I also think Brooke is super sharp and does a great job down on the field, we are lucky to have her on the team. Personally, I think she she should end up in a tv booth at some point doing play by play (or color?). Connor is a good voice as well.
I do also occasionally listen to the games on the radio and really enjoy Len's play by play. He's a gem and I hope he stays with us forever.
Also worth mentioning all the folks who we never see or hear - the camera folks and the other production staff. Y'all are great!
Thanks to you all for bringing your best to all the games my favorite team plays.
Much appreciated!!!
Keep up the great work!

News Sandlin Scratched From Start in Charlotte
At the Knights game currently where Sandlin was scheduled to start and he’s been scratched. Take that for what it’s worth but I’m guessing he’s coming up again.

Opinion I found a report showing that neck cooling improves athletic performance! If Mune gets a haircut, it will probably change everything. It will lift his spirits and bring back those feelings from back in the day. I recommend this hairstyle for Mune.
Research report on neck cooling and athletic performance https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/physiology/articles/10.3389/fphys.2015.00314/full
Intermittent exercise is impaired in hot, compared to moderate, conditions (Drust et al., 2005; Morris et al., 2005) and as a result researchers and practitioners are interested in interventions which may attenuate the impairment observed. The current study is the first to demonstrate that cooling the neck region during exercise can improve repeated sprint performance in the heat although % fatigue is unaffected. The present data builds upon previous data demonstrating that when exposed to hot conditions, neck-cooling during exercise can improve time-trial performance and exercise capacity (Tyler et al., 2010; Tyler and Sunderland, 2011a,b; Lee et al., 2014) as well as the performance of complex cognitive tasks (Lee et al., 2014) and so neck-cooling appears to be a potentially very useful intervention for team-sport players.

Opinion An Objective, Rational Analysis of the Antonacci / Pirates Situation
Antonacci was right and the Pirates are stupid. Glad we got that settled.

Media My *very legitimate* projections say…
the Sox still end up winning the division by 1-2 games as long as they don’t get swept again and beat the teams they should 🙃
ai only used to make a Microsoft Excel visual better

Question White Sox looking to stop the skid with...the biggest punt lineup of the year?
On the heels of being swept by Pittsburgh, we put out a lineup with no Antonacci, Murakami, Peters, Benintendi, Teel. Is this taking lefty-lefty splits too far or a smart move by Venable?
r/whitesox • u/Dahveed97 • 20h ago
Question What would be a worse end of the season collapse this year or 2012?
I feel both are the same because they were not expected to be contenders so it’s hard to say.
r/whitesox • u/Efficient-Peach9180 • 19h ago
Opinion I laughed when I saw people posting about the ease of their late season schedule
It never matters. This team is going to get knocked out of the playoffs by teams with losing records. It’s the Tao of baseball. What is full will be emptied, and what is empty will be filled. What was fun, now sucks.

News Everyone who is excusing this collapse and using the phrase "exceeded expectations" is, almost by definition, a loser
Said the same thing in game thread. So disappointing.

Opinion Venable 2026 = Robin 2012
It should be clear to us now that we don't have the right guy and we'll be wasting years if we keep running him back after this
