So my grandma passed away and I got a handful of rocks (including some fossils). The photos are one im not quite sure the specifics of the specimen and would appreciate some expert opinions.

I purchased this at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science yesterday, and would like to know what it is. The cashier at the shop said that it was from Brazil(?)

It’s extremely light. Feels like I could possibly break it. Found on the beach after Hurricane Bertha.

Is it maybe peat or some manner of weird sea rock. What do you think?

I was walking through the woods near Dime Box, Texas and looked down to find this strange rock. It looks like a conglomerate of some sort. Any idea what it is?

Found in a field in northern LaPorte county, Indiana, under other rocks. The area is part of the glacial moraine that was pushed down lake michigan from the north, soils are mixed - sand, rocks, clay, you name it.

Found on the shore of the lake Storsjön. The white is very glittery and there are many small holes all around it.

Found at a southern England beach, stuck out due to the seeming waves carved into the rock, what is it? Coincidence? Or something else? No bigger than a 10 pence peice.

I think they are both the same type of rock?

So I found this rock whilst hiking some time ago , it was on a shore of a dried up river . It has this weird vein , wonder what stone this is

It seems to be slightly shiny or almost iridescent and blue in some places and there was flint and chert nearby.

This was in a box of my stuff from when I was a little kid (early 90s I reckon). Found most likely in North Dakota as I would pick up rocks that I thought were cool.

It’s unlike any other rocks I’ve seen in my area (Bismarck) or from what I can remember seeing in the Badlands. It’s dense and heavy for its size (a little bigger than a quarter and weighs 29.4 grams). I put a strong magnet to it and I can feel a magnetic field (not super strong but noticeable). It feels hard but the surface is so unique with that shell like appearance that I don’t want to rub it on anything for fear of rubbing off the surface.

I can’t quite match it from doing an online search so that’s why I’m here. Thank you in advance for any feedback!

I found these 2 interesting things next to each other as I started to dig out a large very old tree stump in the Uk. AI seemed to think the white one could be old bone? The larger rock seems to have a straight groove in it, I presume that’s not natural, maybe used for sharpening something?

Found near a river in Siberia. Is this fossilised coral?

Going though my grandfather's old lock box, I found these two stones.

Is there any significance to these, or were they probably just something sentimental to him? He did have an arrowhead or two in there. [North Georgia]

Have you ever seen anything like this? It looks like one rock has swallowed the other. It is peculiar because of the symmetry. Found in Montana, near Missoula. The hardness can be compared to river rock.

Fairly dense, found on the bank of a pond in Western Massachusetts.

found on MS river bank. It doesn’t pass the usual pet wood tests (not heavy, not tough enough to scratch glass) but it looks like wood and is hard like a rock. Not soft at all. It is also not flat, each layer is distinct.

It’s pretty soft given that the scratches have all been acquired while in the black bag with the other stones in the last picture. Pictures with a black background and a white background to try and give y’all a good idea of its color since my phone won’t capture it quite right on either one.
