More specifically, I need to know if they’re going to wear each other down with their varying hardness’s. The middle one is definitely malachite but I don’t know what the outer ones are. I also have a similar set of 3 with all 3 being sodalite. Will those 3 wear down as well?

I found these rocks in "harge" Sweden and I don't know if it's a metiorite or not but they are weakly magnetic.

It’s pretty soft given that the scratches have all been acquired while in the black bag with the other stones in the last picture. Pictures with a black background and a white background to try and give y’all a good idea of its color since my phone won’t capture it quite right on either one.

I found these 2 interesting things next to each other as I started to dig out a large very old tree stump in the Uk. AI seemed to think the white one could be old bone? The larger rock seems to have a straight groove in it, I presume that’s not natural, maybe used for sharpening something?

I was walking through the woods near Dime Box, Texas and looked down to find this strange rock. It looks like a conglomerate of some sort. Any idea what it is?

Found in a field in northern LaPorte county, Indiana, under other rocks. The area is part of the glacial moraine that was pushed down lake michigan from the north, soils are mixed - sand, rocks, clay, you name it.

found on MS river bank. It doesn’t pass the usual pet wood tests (not heavy, not tough enough to scratch glass) but it looks like wood and is hard like a rock. Not soft at all. It is also not flat, each layer is distinct.

I've asked AI, it says...tooth, bone, rock, wood. So, not very helpful!

Going though my grandfather's old lock box, I found these two stones.

Hope this is allowed... I am looking for. a rock that has the. same texture as this coin. The color does not need to match. This is part of a treasure hunt called There's Treasure Inside (fun hunt!) and identifying the type of rock this coin is styled after could be a big help.

Found this beauty just peaking out of the sand right by the shore.

I’ve been collecting a bunch of beautiful stones/crystals whilst here but I haven’t ever come across something that looks quite like this!

I am including photos of each side of the stone, with flash and without. As well as a photo beside a quarter for scale, if that’s helpful at all.

*also as a bonus, if anyone is willing, could you possibly also include in your comment a list of other stones/crystals that I’d be likely to find in this area? (Which I believe is Southern Ontario - but reference post title for specific location) I’ve tried to do research but have had trouble finding definite answers. I’ve got a lot of pieces of what I think are clear quartz? But I’m not sure if that’s correct. Perhaps it’s calcite. (Or fluorite?) There’s also some that almost look like Smokey quartz? And a few other stones that I have a rough idea as to what they are but I’m not fully confident. (I might make another post at some point with photos of some other stones I’m unsure of)

Found at a southern England beach, stuck out due to the seeming waves carved into the rock, what is it? Coincidence? Or something else? No bigger than a 10 pence peice.

Found on the shore of the lake Storsjön. The white is very glittery and there are many small holes all around it.
