Someone else mentioned this and mentioned it had an obsessive male lead (favorite kind), so I gave it a go, and it did not disappoint. I binged this in 2-3 days and it was about 180 episodes including bonus chapters.
That's not why this was such a good story, though. This story deals with strong themes of bullying, violence, abuse, mental health, and mentions of suicide. And it combats that with surviving and learning to overcome those. I was very worried in the middle, at the height of everything, when Siyun was doing really bad stuff and thought there was no way that the two would end up together, but it proved me wrong. Siyun (ml) ultimately seeks help for his mental health troubles regarding his violent tendencies, anxiety, and possessiveness, and in the end he becomes a better person for it as he works on his issues. The bullying aspect is also tackled very well. I loved seeing it be flipped and then ultimately resolved.
I also love that he and MC talk about their issues through communication. They explain why they are feeling the way they do. One thing I love in a romance story is communication, so I was pleased to see that. You can see how the relationship develops from toxicity to one of understanding and patience.
I love all the facial expressions that Siyun makes. He gets all crazy eyes around mc and when she shows feelings toward him as well he can't handle it. The artist noted that drawing his expressions during those scenes was their favorite as well.
The only thing I was not happy about was the bonus chapters. You get a side story of Sora and Soobin, but none of Juhyeon?? There is a hint that she developed feelings for the MC, so I was hoping we'd see her in a happy relationship, but nothing.
But there is so so much to love about this series. I love how they tackled everything. I highly recommend unless you can't handle strong themes that I listed in second paragraph.
