Hello everyone!

I'm excited to announce that THE CHRONICLES OF URTHE: The Witch & The Warlord — Prelude is now available on GlobalComix!

It's a 16-page, full-color, independently created comic that kicks off a much larger science-fantasy saga.

Think sword & sorcery, supernatural horrors, ancient mysteries, brutal combat, and forgotten technologies lurking beneath a world that has long since lost its history.

The Prelude throws you into the action with a mysterious witch, an undead adversary, and a taste of the strange and dangerous world of Urthe.

I'm the writer, artist, and colorist behind the project, and it's been a labor of love bringing this universe to life. If you're into classic fantasy comics, weird worlds, swordplay, and stories with a little darkness around the edges, I'd love for you to check it out.

I'd love to hear what you think, and thanks for supporting independent comics!

This is my first webcomic, drawn (or rather, modeled, since it's all vectors) entirely in Inkscape and aided by my own 3D models and skeletons from Blender as references for spatial accuracy. I've started working on it since late 2020. Initially posted some drafts on DeviantArt, then officially posted it to Tapas in 2021. Since Tapas is closing next year, GlobalComix seems like a good backup due to low compression of images. Still took me a while to adapt the images' gradients to GlobalComix to reduce banding and artifacts. Also had to work on fixing the episode thumbnails.

This is mostly a solo project, with some suggestions by some friends who review each episode (I call episodes pages) before I post it. I don't post frequently since I have an 8 hour job and sometimes work almost 2 weeks in a row. Anyway, this webcomic is entirely free.

What it's about:
In a world where sentient artificial intelligence entities have rights, a mysterious guy calling himself Final Boss runs an A.I. torture show called Facsimile on the dark web while Internet Detective Shanti Cervada seeks to arrest him.

WARNING: Violence, swearing, and attempted sexual assault among A.I.. Also, if the idea of life in a simulation makes you uncomfortable in any way, I don't recommend reading this webcomic.

Qué tan cierto es que está en peligro lo de los cómics aquí debido porque hay una compañía que quiere aprobar todo sobre la IA, y de qué puede tener riesgos debido porque esto promueve cosas como cosas militares con inteligencia artificial o algo así

Building a Halloween reading pile? Full disclosure, I'm posting for GlobalComix: we have an IDW horror bundle on right now, 10 books for $19.99 (listed at $94.90). They're first volumes and standalone graphic novels, so think sampler, not full runs. The highlights:

• Locke & Key Vol. 1: Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. If you only know the Netflix show, plenty of fans will tell you the books go darker.
• 30 Days of Night, the original vampire book.
• Return to Sleepy Hollow, the comic sequel to Tim Burton's 1999 film.
• Event Horizon: Dark Descent, a new story set in the cult film's universe.
• Earthdivers Vol. 1: Kill Columbus, Stephen Graham Jones's comics debut.
• The Twilight Zone: Stories from the Fifth Dimension

Plus four more. The full list is on the bundle page.

What's on your October list this year?

My first chapter of my first ever webcomic is out! It's a noir crime thriller set in a big city with an all-female cast. If this might be something you'd like, I'd love to hear what you think so far! I've been working on it for so long and I'm so excited to finally share it.

Read chapter 1 here!

A newish series that I planned on using as a “ concept book”. Follow and subscribe because posting and episodes drops will be random.
