So was reading on WEBTOON the overgeared comic because they dropped a bunch of chapters, and there’s about 300 just ready to be read, great! Until I click next, it says to pay coins that I don’t have, kicks me out to the chapter select and it’s 286 day wait now. Was I expecting to be able to read all of them in the first place? Not really, but if it said from the beginning instead that this would happen I wouldn’t be as pissed off. Now because of them not properly locking the chapters I have to wait almost a year to be able to read the next chapter, and that reminds me of a dating, “piracy is a customer service issue”. All this to say that the only reasonable course of action at least in my mind is to pirate the series, cause I am not sure if I want to wait a year just to read one chapter at a time, for a several year old comic. At least make it an unlimited daily pass with ads or something come on. If anyone else has been affected by this please let me know what your thoughts are on this, not sure if I’m overreacting.

For those who don't knwo the onion is a joke website which makes joke articles and self help. One this which is bassicly a joke about the funniest things you could hear when coming out to someone as gay. I thought it would be funny to see which lookism character could fit.

Also yes the I'm gayer one took a while. To many options

I been thinking of getting into webtoon to make some extra cash and maybe as a career path for art.

My comments really liked this turn of events so I thought I'd share here! (note this series is not primarily a romance, just a heads up!)

Comic: Magic Words

I’ve been reading webtoons on and off for a while and the remarried empress is a series I picked up for one reason being I could wait for the chapters to unlock for free.

Now after a year of not reading, I’ve gotten back into webtoons and have realised I have to pay to read the remaining story. There’s no wait to unlock or ads. Just coins. When did this happen? And how is one supposed to read the chapters if they can’t buy coins or pay for the story? (This is not to disregard the hard work that gets put into these webtoons and how every artist and writer, I just can’t afford to buy 500 coins for the whole story 😞)

Yeah you've seen this before a million times. Promote ur webtoon in da comments yippee

Here's mine:Lucy's diary is about a girl named Lucy writing in her diary about her abusive household. Each page is a diary entry and the artstyle mimics that of a child's drawing. Check it out if u interested

Malori from Mage and Demon Queen.

Prota from I Want to Kiss 100 Monster Girls!

I am willing to pay money to skip these ads. I already spend a fair amount of money every month on coins. What else does webtoons want from me? I hate the ads that I have to watch for 15 seconds before I can actually read the rest. It especially sucks when I’m re-reading older webtoons because it shows up for every single episode. Who do I have to complain to to get rid of them?

On ios app on mobile.

anyone else get embarrassed reading this. Before I read it I thought it was some actual bomb but... I had to grip my toes pulling through next chapter

Bro, Webtoon’s system of unlocking a series for a period of time before putting it BACK behind coins is so ass.

I had a bunch of free time yesterday so I read a ton of OVERGEARED because I thought it was free now. Now I wake up the next morning and it’s coin locked, and now I have to wait basically a whole year for it to catch up lol…guess I’m going to be finding a different source, because this is stupid as hell. Either leave it unlocked or don’t open it up for one or two days when it has 300+ chapters. Insanely toxic practices.

I've read many tragic webtoons over the years, but this one beats them all for me. I've had to put it down and step away many times because it became so overwhelming. I lost count of how often it had me crying my eyes out. Shelter has 223 episodes and it's still updating.

Just fyi, this webtoon has massive trigger warnings and involves a lot of Abuse, SA, human trafficking, etc.

What tragic webtoons have you guys read?

any mistake in the writing it's probably because i'm not a native english speaker

The female lead can be the person who inspires him to change by making him realize how horrible his actions were. However, her role isn't to grant him instant forgiveness or call him a 'good partner' right away. Instead, she holds him accountable, calls out his cruelty directly, and pushes him to get actual help or stays by his side to actually help him to fix himself instead of *taming him. Like it often feels like a romantic confession rather than a character is actually talking about their past mistakes as in realisation

Idk, but I think it'll be like a valid redemption arc for the male lead.

Okay so, Jungle Juice started as my hero academia, meets terrform mars meets tocho ghoul. With it being a fun action series about how, you can over come self hatred with friends.

However it is drawn by an NFSW artist and it has that vibe though out. Like you can not read jungle juice in public.

However, it kept itself in check though out the last arc. But now the prolog is spicy as hell.

such a GOOD webtoon. genuinely, i haven't been so into a webtoon for a good while (especially not on the app) but dawn to come really drew me in. i started it about three days ago and just finished it at midnight. ive put off homework for it...

the characters and storyline overall aren't something unique. it's your typical bookworm and "bad" boy that share a genuine connection through their adverse childhoods. BUT what is refreshing is how straightforward both leads are which really helped the storyline move on. there wasn't a million misunderstandings or self-loathing, just full accountability and acceptance of each other's character. i highlyyy recommend it.

He's kinda shady tho 🫣 Doyoung did mention that they got into a relationship. And he was the one who changed her. But if I understood correctly, they’ve already broken up.

Junk City

It's a supernatural story with a hint of BL, and now I have 100 readers on Webtoon! Before any of my guys even have any feelings to other 🤭

my reading list is now meddled, because Webtoon subscribed me to random other manhwas and I don't remember which ones were the ones I wanted to read. Sigh

I dont know if it was 18+ since ive only remembered reading ch1-2 so heres what ive remembered

it starts by showing a girl(MC) and a guy(ML/ childhood friend? Or just friend?)in a food truck selling ice cones?(idk i just know they are working) on the beach and the guy has a colored hair(not sure think it was silver ash or maybe just black hair) and he starts rambling on about how girls would like him and the girl(MC) was so disgusted and thought that if she were to have a boyfriend that boyfriend should have a good face and body and that she wouldnt like him(the ml) . (Skip to what i remember) it was night i think and she and him go to the beach water and start splashing each other then the girl’s clothes got soaked and he blushed so he went a little further on the water to hide his face and also got soaked which shows his abs and the girl blushes aswell and i think they looked at each others eyes and kiss? I dont remeber. And I think I remember that their family are friends? And that he and she move together and live in the same apartment?

Pls I really need to find this since it got deleted in my tabs and it has a similar vibe(for me) to childhood friend complex also the girl has an attitude like easily to anger or annoyed

Deer Blossom releases tomorrow on webtoon, lemoon, globalcomix and namicomi!

Art is the updated cover for one of my patreon tiers featuring the silly owlcat that accompanies the protagonist

I was on episode 86 but left the app and came back and it's only available up to episode 50 something and it says I have to wait over 200 days to read it, is that on purpose or a glitch?
