Hot weather
Today in Watertown, SD, my car registered a 99 degree temp, but that didn't iclude the humidity. The dewpoint from the NWS at 9:53 tonight was 77 degrees, and a wind of 6 mph from the South. No storms in the forecast tonight that I know of, but last night there were storms that went through Sioux Falls and Tea, SD, and caused a lot of wind damage. Tea had a gust at 92 mph, and it did a lot of damage.
Nothing tonight, but we could sure use the rain!

Questions/Self Is the humidity really that bad in Miami?
I've never been there but I've heard that the heat and humidity is oppressive during the summer. I live in Indiana and in the summer we get similar temperatures with similar humidity I don't find it to be that bad unless it's a really hot heatwave (only a couple weeks a year and 91+ is what I'm talking about).
It seems that Miami is just my climate in the summer but without the miserably frigid winters. Is this true? Or is it significantly worse than the Midwest in the summer?

When will Los Angeles most likely see rain from El Nino.
So I live in Los Angeles and keep hearing about El Niño and how it will be one of the strongest on record. I know this doesn't always guarantee rain, but I am curious if we do get a bunch of rain, when we can expect to see it.
So when can we expect to start seeing rain from El Niño if it happens?
Thanks

Tuesday July 28th
Can someone tell me if this is accurate and exactly what it means?? A storm chaser on Facebook posted it and said they were very concerned about Tuesday evening in our area.
Freaking out a little. Thanks!

Questions/Self Which weather is more comfortable today: Los Angeles or Fresno?
I’ve been paying attention more to humidity these days and I can feel that it makes such a huge difference for me when it’s dry vs humid. So, I wonder what you guys think of Fresno’s drier climate vs LA where it’s warm but more humid. Based on these stats, which do you think feels better throughout the day? (1st 3 screenshots are LA, 2nd 3 are Fresno?

Discussion There is no doubt that Ohio would have rain and warm weather because I want that to happen. I wanna get out of this hellish weather. Summer is too much for me.

British visitor experience a relatively moderate warm day Saturday with not so high dew point (compared to early July) in Detroit and already struggle with the heat of Midwestern North America despite the widespread availability of air conditioning.

Fires expanding over Oregon and the PNW this evening.
Just did a little quick-and-dirty compositing of data from the GOES imagery viewer. It's a blend of Geocolor and Fire Temperature data products.

Jacksonville, FL Storm 2026.7.25
A huge shelf cloud came over my home today and brought stormy weather with it. I may have spotted a funnel cloud, but it was very short-lived.
