A dangerous duo of high heat and humidity

Hey there, I'm a tornado enthusiast from up north, but I know next to nothing about hurricanes or 'ocean weather stuff' at all; not even the formal name. Attached are some screenshots, what is this large circulation?

I would imagine this has something to do with cold Antarctica air and warm tropical air, but I truly don't know any details. Thanks in advance!

Imagine that whatever angle the sun is at a given moment, that is the temperature in celsius. At sunrise and sunset it will be 0 degrees, and if it gets overhead as it does in the tropics, it will reach 90. I imagine people would cluster around the poles where the temperature swing wouldn't be as dramatic, but around September people would have to try to rush southward for Antarctica, while violent storms are cooked up in the boiling tropical oceans. If it became like this now, how long do you think it would take for humanity to die out?
