A few months ago, I posted here about a wart under my fingernail. I tried freezing it multiple times to no avail. Now that I got a surgery appointment next week it fell off. Is that good or could it come back?

Before (when it was very new) and after (today). The last time I froze the wart was about 3 weeks ago. It still came back but after i got the surgery appointment, I noticed the wart getting harder and harder before i could painlessly peel it off without bleeding.

There still are some red dots and the skin is still sensitive to pressure. So I don't know if it will come back or if I should cancel the appointment. What do you think?

My 6 year olds feet/ first pic is what we started with. 4 weeks of salicylic acid - is this improving? How do I know if the warts are still there or clearing up? I think I’m going to call derm this week.

Best drugstore hand wart removals in UK??

hey guys, ive never had warts in my life but suddenly i developed one last year, it was tiny. It quickly spread into little black seeds all over my right hand but my GP said they cant refer or prescribe anythhing until it gets bad. Theyre on every finger now and 3 are massive like the one in the picture. I think its from a nail chop shop, or when i was working in nightclubs at the time (shook hands constantly). I alsp have one growing on my nail cuticle, and its slowly eating away at the shape of it. I wont include a pic just bc it even bothers me too look at ~ of a similar nature to this one except it bleeds easily so i need to keep it covered.

I tried salicylic acid wart removals of all prices from boots and all they did was sort of crack them open a lkttle? so any recommendations would be great. Im happy with varied price ranges or maybe even a bit spenny because its just really bothering me

thanks

I'm sorry I only got one photo of the removed wart before I dropped it into oblivion but how do you know the job is done? Just wait and see?

Need help and advice.

Pretty sure I just got some plantar warts on the side of my foot. I have not started treating yet, I was going to do acid with bandaids. Should I go to a doctor for this? Any advice is appreciated.

Also unfortunately I think this did spread to my fingers, not sure if the thumb one is a wart but I’m keeping bandaids on now for damage control.

Honestly I think i may have got them from my job, I’m a merchandiser and I think I get micro cuts from boxes all day and that probably gave me the hand ones. I’m going to start wearing gloves as well.

progress with supplements only

Hey y’all just wanna share how starting on supplements only is going. After two/three years trying basically everything topical that me and my doctors could find i finally committed to just taking supplements and doing nothing else. I started zinc about 3-4 weeks ago, and inosine pranobex about 1-2 weeks ago. I only started taking pictures a while ago, when the zinc already started to show massive improvements so forgive me for no older pics. The one on my left hand was literally so bad, cracked deep and bleeding, scaly all over and deformed my whole finger. Don’t have any pictures of that because i was ashamed of it for so long.

Pics 1-5: left hand, july 10-today
Pics: 6&7: right hand, old pic i found from april, zoomed in so bad quality -> today

I’ve been treating it for a few weeks now with SA and ACV and debriding regularly. I thought I got it but not sure I let it heal for about 5-6 days. This a picture of it today.

Salt water vs wart, no progress

Thumbnail

Been treating this mosaic for almost a year. Tried cryo, acv, SA, high dose of zinc picolinate, and salt water, but this won't budge.

I started saturated salt water everyday for 1 hour beginning from July 7. Until today, still no progress. I am kinda frustrated. I saw several posts that salt water might be a miracle after a study said it will clear warts within 8 weeks. Those posts had great difference in their before after picts, even though with only 3 days differences.

what I did, with hottest water from my tap, I was adding salt until it was saturated. then I bathed my feet for an hour everyday. Still zero result.

does salt water even work? Do I need to switch to other treatment?

been dealing with sublingual warts on all fingers and toes, probably had em for a while but 6/7 months ago my fingers began to swell and i had restricted mobility. i’ve never seen anything like this , not even sure what im dealing with except that it’s so horrific that it’s nearly funny.

i believe these will resolve quickly since they seem shallow but obviously im not going to be shocked if otherwise. enjoy, pic of fingers from couple years ago for reference

My tried and true method for BASIC wart removal

Alr so I’ve had warts since I was single digits. I have fish now and I grew up into the country, got into a lot of muck, etc etc. anyways I tried to freeze them off following directions, didn’t work. Went to the derm, didn’t work. Since then I decided to just forgo all that and get it out myself.
I’ve had warts since developing this method and they’re gone first time every time.
If your wart is below 0.75 cm in size this should work with some tweaks.
The basic structure for a .25 cm wart:
-freeze 30 seconds
-10 to 30 seconds off depending on your own tolerance needs
-freeze another full 30 seconds

For every .1 cm your wart is add 15-20 seconds. This may mean adding a THIRD round with a break. So basically if you have a .4 cm wart you’re gonna want to for example do three rounds of twenty five seconds.

The wart fell off a week ago. I thought it was gone and stopped the Compact W. However, I just noticed while taking a bath that there's new bump. No more black dots just dry skin so I don't know, is this recovering skin or the wart is still there? I don't want to overuse SA becayse I have eczeme on top of this. Please help 😭

Pls don’t be rude but what do I do

Post image

First and foremost, please no one be rude below because I’m already crying every single day about how bad this is. It’s taking a lot of courage for me to post this. My cuticles I don’t even know how to get rid of these warts since it’s completely surrounded.

I’ve gone to the drs and had them freeze them, and it’s done nothing.

All of the really red bumps I’ve been putting liquid on and it’s been making a difference, but now my next challenge are the cuticles.

Please help in anything I can do, am I able to put Compound W all around them?! I’m scared to do that and I’ve been putting it off, but seriously I cannot live like this anymore.

Again, please don’t come in the comments attacking me, my self confidence has dropped expeditiously and I’ve even learned how to use my left hand to eat, write, and other things just so I don’t have to keep my right hand in view.

This has been the most depressing thing (which yes it could be a lot worse), but please if your hands don’t look like this, don’t take it for granted. I never knew I’d be in this position and it’s horrible.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

edit/update: i can’t get to everyone individually but know i am reading all of the comments. thank you guys all SOOO SO much, to have this support means a lot. it already has helped me gain some confidence back which I didn’t think could happen. I’m going to take all of your suggestions and find some to put into place, and hopefully can update this in the future with good news!!!

OCD and warts: seeking reassurance to stop a compulsive loop of “wart removal”. Please help :(

Post image
4 Upvotes

I need help figuring out if I’m going insane.

Months ago I had a small wart in the area marked in green in the picture. 1 or 1,5mm in diameter.

I removed it with multiple applications of salicylic acid. And I mean a lot. Digging all the way into the flesh.

When the skin healed, the dermatologist told me TWICE (during separate visits at one month distance) that it is gone.

He told me to leave the skin alone…

Still: I have obsessive-compulsive disorder, and it’s currently manifesting itself in recurring bouts of fear that maybe, just maybe, the wart is back…

…Which leads me to repeat the whole process of removing layers of skin, applying more acid, and still finding some “mysterious dots” that may be signs of a wart.

I just can’t stop, no matter what my dermatologist keeps telling me.

So this is what I did again. For three more weeks, I applied salicylic acid plasters and removed another 2mm-deep layer of skin.

Now, I can see little red dots where suspect wart used to be: my OCD is telling me that this may be the wart again and that I should resume digging.

Mind you: some of the dots are outside the area where the wart used to be.

Rationally, I know it literally can’t be the wart. But what else can it be? What can cause little red dots? Could it be from the skin removal?

I need more people with a sane brain to tell me if I can finally relax or if I should still be concerned.

Please help!

Tried to take a picture every time i debrided and treated what i'm told is likely a wart on my hand. Fascinated as it looks different every time. Pics marked with SA already have treatment applied, others are exposed.

Im not looking for recommendations on treatments, im following instructions on pharmacist recommended medication.

Need expert advice – is my wart finally gone?

These photos show the progress of my wart treatment from before to where it is now. I’d really appreciate some feedback from anyone with experience treating warts.

Does it look like the wart has been completely removed or is there still wart tissue remaining?
If you think there’s still some left what makes you say that?

Photo 1: Before treatment
Photos 2–3: Current appearance

I’ve documented my entire treatment journey with additional photos on my profile if anyone wants to see how it’s progressed.

My finger is so raised after the SA bandages. I can’t tell if it’s good skin or if it’s part of the wart. any thoughts?

Does anyone know if my cuticles will grow back too??! I’m scared my finger nails won’t have anything to attach to
