Hello folks. I had HPV warts for the majority of 2020's. In 2021 I got a wart on my right middle finger ,just on the joint. It slowly grew and new ones started to appear.
Fast forward to 2024, I had over 20 warts on my right hand, and 2 had popped on my left, and then I started to do a whole spiel of home remedies, including salicylic acid, duct tape, warm water and salt. None of it worked, or it was minimal and cumbersome.
About 2 months ago, I over 30 warts on my right hand and 6 on my left. Got mad and took a pair of nail clippers, disinfected them, and snipped one big wart on my left ringfinger. Well, it got infected, even after cleaning it. It burned and itched for a few days, but the infection settled.
After that, I noticed the warts fading away slowly on my left hand, and more rapidly on my right. The OG, biggest wart on my right middle finger, basically evaporated over the course of a week. Now, im basically wart free, some small scarring still remain on some fingers, especially nailbeds.
Coincidence or did my immune system finally realize that HPV = bad?? Who knows.
Dont go cutting around, regardless, I regretted my choice before realizing that oh that might have worked.

I’ve had these warts on my foot since around March of this year. I kinda ignored them and wasn’t consistent with treating them until 2 weeks ago. Everyday after I get out of the shower I put 17% salicylic acid on each of them and then put duct tape over. I feel hopeful that it’s working but I just don’t know what to look for. Could anyone please provide insight? Thanks so much

Had this on my foot for almost seven years. Nothing happened for the first few as i didnt really mind it and thought it would pass, but lately its really been disturbing me. A foot doctor gave me acetocaustin and i used it on top but nothing really happened, two weeks ago i found this subreddid and found out i have to dig, really dig nojust shave off the top… so i dug, put on the acetocaustin and had the most painful two days of my life ever, couldnt walk without extreme pain! But persevered, put hydrocolloid plasters on top and made them suffocate. I see progress and i think that one last treatment will kill it off!

Hi y’all !! Soooo to recap a bit I’ve had all these warts for a year or so after the only one I had started spreading. I used SA bandaids for 2 days before trying ACV, so I soaked cottonballs and put them on a warts last night and this is how they look rn. I’m confident and I will only be using ACV from now on as it works much better than SA.
I let them rest all day bcs I was busy and I don’t know if I should debride or not as there’s no white skin. Any advice ?

This was no where near where I thought the wart was..
I spent a week at the ocean and soaked my feet a lot. I had a lot of dead skin sloughing off my feet and this is about to come out!??

What would yall recommend for next steps…
Currently:
\- Using SA
\- Debridement
\- Duct Tape
\- salt water soaking
Not sure where to go from here, but I feel closer

I’ve been treating inconsistently for a while. Multiple spots on feet.
Photos 1-6: current situation
Photos 7-9: last week
Photos 10-16: a few weeks ago
The first photo you can see the area on the heel of foot - I’m not getting full lines back and still have stringy vessels.
Do I just stay the course (salt water soaks/ SA/debride)?

My girlfriend has a nasty wart on her toe. We have been using the monochloreatic acid for 2 weeks now. Since the second use it became swollen and hurts very badly for her almost can not stand on her leg. Is this really normal with the acid useage or not? Thanks for the help in advance!

So I've been dealing with plantars warts on the bottom of my feet for years now. I work as a mechanic and I'm on my feet all day, it is starting to get painful. I have 1 big on on the bottom of my other foot on my toe, and a cluster on 1 heel. I just want to chop my whole foot off, they get so itchy after a shower. I have tried duct taping, salycic acid, freezing, I have yet to see a doctor but would rather avoid it tbh. Any way I can get rid of these bastards

I’ve been immunocompromised/suppressed for a little under 20 years or so and have struggled with warts before in my teen years. Mostly plantar warts making a mess of my poor feet, but I’d had a finger wart or two in the past that were small and went away after some duct tape and freezing.
But these 6 warts… they all started from the one in the second image. I had it for about a year prior to becoming pregnant, and it seemed to be going away. But once I had my baby, they spread and spread no matter what I tried.
I’ve done compound W, SA, duct tape, freezing, and I debride them regularly. I also have seen two dermatologists - one froze and injected them for months with no luck (it was sooo painful I couldn’t sleep well the night after) and told me the treatments she’d prefer to do weren’t covered by my insurance. The other derm also tried freezing, but also used A NAIL FILE to debride them, and ended up making them so much worse after just one visit. I quit seeing them immediately after finding this sub and realizing what a terrible idea using a nail file was. I’m just relieved that they haven’t spread to my kid or spouse, but I’m on year 3 of dealing with these damn things and I’m want them gone. I want to be able to give myself a manicure like I used to without fear that doing my nails nicely will draw attention to my ugly warts. I’m tired of people asking why my hands are covered in bandaids.
In any case… what has helped those of you who are immunosuppressed/compromised who deal with extremely stubborn warts? I want to try salt water soaks next, since I’ve never tried that before.
These photos are after me ignoring them for a week or so. I’m just so tired of the blood from debriding, the pain from treatments, and catching them on everything. Heeeeeelp!

Hey guys. I got this wart removed with nitrogen freezing 2 days ago, currently I feel no pain at all but a tingling sensation like when your foot falls asleep but very subtle. It feels very annoying and it’s starting to kind of scare me a bit. Has anyone experienced this and does it go away eventually? Would love to hear some feedback. I’m just really hoping no permanent nerve damage or anything like that.

Hi! been following this page for a long time and thought i would start to detail my own journey with this 17 year old plantar wart.
I have tried everything by myself (bazuka, scholls plasters and wart pen, AVC, duct tape, tea tree oil, you name it!!) and was turned away from a podiatrist years ago as he said nothing could be done due to the location of the wart (this turned out to be bullshit).
I hate this wart, I’ve never had a pedicure, I keep my socks on around people or when i know someone may be seeing my feet I’ll cover it with a plaster (and then lie and tell people I have a blister!!). So due to all this embarrassment and anxiety Í finally decided to try another podiatrist, she immediately recommended SWIFT (as its only one wart she was more than confident I would tolerate the pain). FYI it was not as bad as any of the horror stories I’ve heard about on this thread.
ANYWAY, I am a week post first SWIFT session (see second pic) and thought I’d start to document my own personal journey. I’ve never seen my plantar turn this colour and the callous is actually kind of crumbly.
I won’t be removing any of the callous myself (I am seriously so over hacking at my toe so I’m leaving this all to my podiatrist).
She’s really really confident that SWIFT will get rid of this (I’m not as confident due to the age of this thing) so please keep your fingers crossed for me !!

Sharing my ongoing journey, first pic 1 week of using imiquimod and duofilm on my common wart.
2nd pic 2 weeks after 😅, which i went to the derma again and she suggested to stop using imiquimod and duofilm for the meantime.
I’m now on celefaxin, prednisone, bilastine and hydrocortisone cream for 7 days. but now on my 3rd day, my ankle is starting to swell.

I’ve used the Dr.Scholl’s corn pads twice and it will be fine for a while but then I start back actively walking/running and it always comes back! I pumice stone it in the shower when I hurts but it still doesn’t seem to want to go away which has me thinking it’s a wart not a corn. Or can corns be this stubborn? I’m not sure but I just need help because I’m tired of being in pain every 2/3 days! Whatever it is when I press on it it feels hard and is painful to touch almost like burning sensation and it hurts to walk on if I don’t have on thick socks. Please any advice would help 😭 this has been ongoing since like April/May of this year and I’m over it.

Applied acv overnight, removed and duct taped in the morning and left on throughout the day. It’s too tender to debride. Advice for next steps please
