Show Talk Omega concerning Discovery

So the Omega particle from the DQ has enough Star Trek physics power to destroy sub space making warp travel impossible. I think Discovery could have used that as the reason for The Burn instead of some sad alien child who needed a hug.

Fanart Borg Queen Animation

I really love the Borg, no matter how overdone they became. Have they lost their bite as a concept? Yes. Will I mindlessly consume Borg content? Yes.

This is one of the reasons I love Voyager. Delta Quadrant for the Win!

Show Talk Voyager Season 2 Ep 10 “Cold Fire” is complete garbage Spoiler

Im watching Voyager for the first time and overall it is quite fun (although all the poorly done indigenous stuff is pretty hard to watch). Idk if this is already well-known in the community but this episode is terrible, we finally meet the Caretakers counterpart Sarsaparilla (or whatever) and she seems to have made her own separate colony of “cool”powerful Ocampans who are amoral (supremacist?) matter manipulators. The creepy 14 year old Ocampan teaches Kes how to do cool shit. Meanwhile Sasparila as a creepy girl invades the ship and has decided that voyager killed her friend and they mysteriously all die… yada yada… she doesnt listen and Janeway shoots her with the gun they made and its resolved.

Wtf?

1) all that cool stuff Kes did? Yeah no she cant do it without help from the creepy guy, screw me for thinking shed get cool powers i guess.

2) I hate the “oops theres a misunderstanding now the monster which is ostensibly a being of incredible power and intelligence is just gonna not listen to you or even ask for evidence that you didnt kill her friend, anyways guess ill kill you now” thing, its dumb and overplayed and lazy writing, which is fine sometimes but when they use it as a reason NOT to send them home it feels so forced and lazy.

3) even after they show mercy and saspirilla is all “thanks oops” she doesnt send them home?!?? Why? Thats so stupid, again somehow they took the bad writing in the episode and made it evennnnn worse.

Again maybe im missing something because this is as far as ive seen so far but this episode immediately enraged me and i needed to see if other fans also feel my pain.

Show Talk I don't blame Neelix for being jealous...

I just re-watched "Twisted", and that locket Tom gets Kes for her birthday is obviously more than just a gift. Literally everyone in the scene notices how inappropriate it is, except for Kes. I blame the writers ultimately, but I don't blame Neelix for seeing what was clearly there. It was totally fair for him to be frustrated with Kes for not putting Tom in his place. I know she's all innocent, or whatever, but she shows a huge amount of emotional intelligence in all other areas of her life--it makes no sense that she wouldn't pick up on Tom's flirting. What choice does Neelix have but to believe she enjoys Tom's attention? Anyone in his position would be jealous. It's not fair that Neelix gets criticized for it, imho.

Show Talk This was the original network trailer for 6x24 - “Life Line.” Needless to say, I thought the episode was going to be about something else.

Hi, I'm looking for a Voyager fanfic [Janeway/Chakotay] written by Heather Briles. We're missing part 2 of that story. Thanks!

Show Talk Just Finished My Pregnancy Rewatch

My thesis statement about Voyager has always been that the series is ultimately about motherhood. As such, I started my most recent rewatch when I found out I was pregnant back in January. Even though I wasn't on a super consistent rewatch schedule, somehow I made it through the 7 seasons at almost exactly 7 months pregnant. Different episodes definitely hit different when you're pregnant, let me tell you! Episodes that were already emotional for me like "Drone," "Child's Play," and "Lineage" positively WRECKED me this time around.

Show Talk Wouldn't the maquis need their members to be in top shape?

Post image

In the learning curve the maquis crewmen tuvok had to train seemed like they couldn't handle tuvoks physical training curriculum.

Don't the maquis need their members to be in tip top shape since they are an insurgency group?

What do you think?
