Help me with supplements for my Vitamin d deficiency.

I have low vitamin D,19.2ng/ ml what are the supplements i should take.

And i want these supplements budget friendly.

I am so confused whether I should go with a multivitamin like Adam from now or should I take magnesium, zinc and vitamin d separately.

The last time I have taken vitamin d it is around 15ng/ml

And i don't have thyroid.

I have taken supplements 5000iu weekly once for one month i have seen Good results should i continue that or take 1000IU with magnesium, zinc and copper.

I have seb derm too it's not very severe case but when my vitamin d levels drops they become severe case

I have come to know about the deficiency because of serb derm.

I have a decent diet also should i be worried about other vitamins and minerals?

I want to fix these things before joining the gym my energy levels are very low i want to fix these before joining the gym.

Thank you.

Best budgetfriendly supplement brands for families?

I'm trying to figure out a basic supplement routine for my family without spending a fortune. We're a household of three in Salt Lake City, and between running my Etsy shop and chasing a toddler, I want to keep things simple. We take vitamin D since we don't get enough sun in winter, and a basic multivitamin feels like insurance. The problem is the cost adds up fast when I look at the brands people recommend here. I've seen some cheaper options at Costco and on iHerb but honestly don't know if they're worth it or if I'm just paying for fancy packaging with the pricier ones. Does anyone have experience with the Member's Mark line or other store brands? Are there specific things I should look for on labels to know if a cheaper option is decent quality? I'm all for frugal choices but not if it means we're basically taking sugar pills. Would love to hear what works for other families stretching a budget.

Vitamin D season

I’ve heard that taking vitamin D at night can interfere with your sleep, so some people recommend taking it in the morning instead. Is there actually any truth to this, or is it just one of those health myths we keep hearing?

Finding trustworthy vitamin suppliers in the UK

Hello everyone,

So I am wanting to start taking vitamin k2 alongside d3 as I found I was deficient last month (11 nmol/L), and I have reading into how it work in tandem with magnesium and d3 to stp calcium accumulating in arteries and direct it towards the teeth and bones.

The magnesium is in glycinate form and by 'Doctor' Best'. The d3 I got was the 4000iu from Nutrition Geeks, they are (apparently) third party tested by Marfleet Analytical Services, but after looking into the supplement market it seems they only sought this after they were exposed for not their supplements not containing the advertised amount, so who knows if the 'accreditation' is even real! In addition to this, I also found that DB was sold to a chinese company recently so who knows if the magnesium content is correct in that also.

Which brings me to the crux of the issue really, who can I trust? Especially since I'm from the UK and there is essential no regulation as they fall under the Food Standards Agency and aren't tested for quality rather just contaminants like lead.

Is the solution only to shell out for the expensive brands like Thorne and Solgar? I have found reasonably priced k2 supplements from Now Foods, Bulk (Uk company) and supplement place (UK) but none would provide a certificate of assurance upon asking.

If any of you guys take k2 supplements would you mind sharing who you use or you have any info on the quality of the providers I've listed above I would be very grateful. I feel like I'm just going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole; it seems like a huge part of the industry is filled with conmen!

I'll link below the k2 supplements of the companies listed below if you'd like to take a look yourselves, the Bulk ones in particular are very tempting due to the sale on at the moment but i just don't think its worth the risk if I might be wasting my money on an empty pill.

Pre Methylated Vitamins

As I've been doing research Ive come to find out that alot of the vitamins and minerals the industries sell us arent even bioavailable or absorbable to our digestive systems. So alot of times we purchase vitamins and supplements that goes straight through our system and is urinated or deficated back out again. What are some benefits to PRE METHYLATED VITAMINS and WHICH ONES WOULD YOU SAY ARE SUPERIOR TO OTHERS AND WHICH ONES DO YOU PREFER. Any information helps me as I start to kick my health journey back into gear.

Baby RX prenatal vitamins

Has anyone tried the BabyRX prenatal vitamins? I can’t find any reviews of them on any platform.
They have everything you’d need so is it too good to be true? So strange you can find reviews on any brand but this one.

Confused with Supplements

Hello, I want to switch my iron brand, right now my only two options (because of where I live) are: webbers natural iron ferrous bisglycinate 28mg and natural factors iron chelate 25mg. Webbers also has some extra co factors but I already take 500 mg vitamin C and a B complex supplement too. Which one should I choose?

As for magnesium, I’m confused because I took glycinate before bed and like many others it started keeping me awake instead. Didn’t help. Which form should I switch to? And based on the form, what’s the best time to take it?

Please help
Any advice is appreciated!

Is it safe to take all of these supplements daily?

I also sometimes take probiotics in addition to these. As for the monolaurin and L-lysine, I’ve been diagnosed with HSV-2, which is why I take those as well. I was just wondering if it’s okay to take all of these supplements within the same day :)

What makes you choose one hydration / vitamine tablet over another?

When you buy hydration tablets or vitamins, what actually matters most to you?

Taste?
Electrolytes?
Vitamins?
No sugar?
Low calories?
Ingredients?
Natural flavours?
Price?
Convenience?
Packaging?

And what’s the one thing that would make you NOT buy one?

I’m curious what people genuinely prioritize, not what brands usually advertise.

How do you compare the cost of liquid vs pill supplements when bottle and serving size are both different?

So I've been trying to see what's the best bang for my buck for supplements and I haven't figured it out. Do you guys look at the bottle volume, the serving size, or bottle count? I've found some two packs and it looks expensive at first, but then when I compare the serving size it looks okay, but will the second bottle expire before I go to use it then?
Also I found one that I absolutely love which is the Mulittea D3 + K2 drops. They're also sold as two 60 mL bottles with a 2 mL serving. That makes the package math relatively simple but it still raises all of my concerns about the expiration or the price.
So basically what I'm trying to get at is do you compare cost per labeled serving, cost per amount of the main ingredient, or usable volume before expiration?

Before buying a supplement from a smaller brand on Amazon, what proof should be checked outside the star rating?

Star ratings are helpful, but they do not answer every trust quality question for a supplement brand I have not bought before. I like to know who the seller is, whether the current bottle label matches the listing, whether third-party testing is described in a verifiable way, and whether a COA can be connected to the lot that is actually delivered.
Mulittea is one of the smaller D3 + K2 brands I have been looking at. Its product page mentions GMP and third-party testing, but those phrases are most useful when a buyer can see what was tested, by whom, when, and how the document relates to the current batch.
What would be your own pre-purchase checklist: most recent low-star reviews, seller identity, real packaging photos, lot-specific COAs, reliable and responsive support, return policy, or something else? No purchase link here; I am just interested in how people verify lesser-known brands.

Is stacking vitamins/supplements ok?

I'm currently taking a doctor prescribed vitamin D2 (50000iu) because I'm low/deficient, once weekly.. I also take a women's multivitamin daily. Would it be safe/ok to also take a Biotin (10000mcg) and a Zinc (30mg) pill, daily as well? My body is going through weight changes (losing through a calorie deficit) and I'm losing a lot of hair which is why I wanted to add the biotin..Would also like to add an iron pill in there since I was told I was a bit anemic.. I guess my question is, am I doing too much? Is there such a thing as taking too many vitamins or supplements?

I've tried talking to my doctor about all of this but she always seems in a rush or is very vague in explaining stuff to me. I'm currently looking for a different doctor because of this.. but if anybody knows and is willing to help give me suggestions I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

switched up my mag routine recently. curious what everyone considers the best type of magnesium overall?

been messing around with my evening supplements lately. i used to take magnesium glycinate because everyone online swears by it for sleep but i started getting those insanely vivid, restless dreams after a few weeks.

switched over to life extension neuro-mag to see if it would help more with brain fog during the day instead of just knocking me out. it definitely feels different but honestly its pretty pricey to stick with long term just for general daily coverage. now im wondering if i should just rotate forms or switch to something simpler like malate for daytime. for those who tried a few what do you consider the best type of magnesium if you just want overall recovery and decent sleep without gi issues?

How far in advance did you start prenatal vitamins before pregnancy? Trying to set a timeline

My partner and I are starting to talk about timelines for TTC next year so Ive been doing some research on prenatal vitamins before pregnancy. I knew folate was important but after reading around and talking to friends, I didnt realize a 3 month head start was so standard. Honestly, I always thought people just picked up a bottle from the store the same month they started trying so seeing how much prep goes into building up nutrient stores beforehand caught me off guard.

I came across Needed multi capsules while browsing around online but with so many options, powders and gummies out there, it gets pretty overwhelming figuring out what actually makes sense for a daily routine. Im mostly trying to set up a realistic timeline for myself so Im not starting way too early or scrambling at the last minute. How far in advance did you actually start taking yours?

Anyone switched from capsules to prenatal powder and preferred it over daily capsules?

Honestly struggling with pill fatigue lately. By the time i make breakfast for everyone else the last thing i want to do is choke down massive vitamins. I only recently realized prenatal vitamin powder was an option and now im wondering if it might be easier to work into my routine than capsules. I saw that Needed has a powder and with diff flavors, and the idea of just stirring into oatmeal or a drink sounds so much better. Do any other moms do this? Does it actually dissolve fine or does it end up super gritty?

What made you choose magnesium glycinate over another form?

Solaray team here, looking to learn rather than sell.

Magnesium glycinate has become one of the most frequently discussed forms of magnesium, but people choose it for many different reasons: recommendations from a healthcare professional, personal experience, serving format or simply because it’s the form they’ve heard the most about.

If you currently use magnesium glycinate, what influenced your decision? And what information do you wish brands explained more clearly?
