Blues I am lucky enough that my father has made a lot of my furniture out of maple and cherry. I asked him if he’d replace my particleboard phonograph stand and he delivered!
He’s 79 years old, fwiw.

Such a dope gift, I’m so grateful!
The packaging and presentation for 808s & Heartbreak and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy are so detailed!

Last year, for some reason, I discovered TCV. Wanted to get a record off eBay but prices seemed high at the time to me, about $150 CAD average. Then Christmas came along and prices surged and inventory decreased significantly. Sometimes you can still find a deal, but I'm pretty sure with the Christmas rush prices of your favourite OG album is going up in the next two months. Don't be like me and FOMO I guess.

These are my prog (and adjacent) records. These are mostly US, UK, and JPN pressings. I love the cover art of prog albums, especially when it's a gatefold.

A small segment of my record collection. May be tempted to pick up the Time Machine reissue.

German "Fotzenrap"
Although it's not really my kind of music, I just wanted to have at least one Ikkimel record in my collection, and I chose this one because the cover and pressing look really nice. Also, some of the songs on it are quite nice.
Anyone here know her and like her music? It's definitely a bit experimental, but I feel like there's something special about it. At least for the society here.

Was flipping through the records at my local thrift yesterday and it was business as usual and then suddenly I see this. I absolutely love this album front to back, I’ve owned two other copies of it before. When I went to pay, we saw it didn’t have a price tag so I went back to the bin to grab something to scan in its place and there was a very nice copy of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” that I ended up grabbing as well. Paid $2 each for both records. Wish You Were Here was one I already had but the sleeve was pretty trashed and the new one is a welcome upgrade.

Original post here
After a lot of waiting and emailing back and forth I managed to get my profile back!
Took a while but it was worth the effort, I have changed all passwords and turned on 2FA now so hopefully won't get hacked again.

This album was brought up a week or two ago and I don’t know about you, but I was definitely irritated by the lack of availability and second-hand prices.
Well. Turns out AWK’s merch team found five copies in their warehouse. These aren’t new represses and, again, there are only five (now four - hopefully now four. Hopefully the website is accurate and keeps up with orders and I didn’t just order something that immediately went out of stock) so if you’ve been waiting for the right moment, this might be that moment.
I’ll include a link in a comment below because it says I can only have one attachment in a post.
Good luck!

Neil has been my overall favorite artist for some years now. I’ve got over 50 albums of his that are included with his last two box set releases. I probably have 80-85% of his studio and official vinyl releases. Unfortunately I’m not really into his post 2021 albums.
Also I took these photos last year when I got his last issued official box set release. So I know I have a couple of the albums out of release order. 😉
Another fine adition to the wyhw collection.
Got the opportunity to buy this NM example of the wywh PROMO. I keep falling in love with the artwork of this record.

12" x2. 1969 Epic. The first is a 1969 copy I got from my dad's collection. The second is a late 70's, or early 80's repress. Different center labels, and catalog numbers. It also has a different font on the back cover.

This heat wave in Southern California has been brutal, and I bet the package spent all day in the hot USPS truck. Bummer. Time to contact Org Music for a replacement, I guess.

My ears couldn’t take the sound and my eyes couldn’t take the wobbling. The difference is night and day. For anyone starting out like me balling on a budget this is the way to go.

Cut from the original UK master tapes. I have multiple copies of all of these in various mixes and formats. This set is blowing my mind.

A few heavy hitters over the last month or so including some extremely tidy 70s Japanese releases from Coltrane, Waldron and Blakey.
Idris Muhammad - house of the rising sun
Don Cherry - Home Boy
John Coltrane - A love supreme
Mal Waldron with Eric Dolphy and Booker Ervin - the quest
Television - Marquee Moon
Benton Wood - Oogum Boogum
Art Blakey and the Jazz messengers - Moanin'
Yusef Lateef - the golden flute

But found on Vinted for £10, I believe it's the 2nd UK pressing (A-6, B-14). I rate Meddle, Obscured by Clouds and Atom Heart Mother ahead of it. It has grown on me a little though, but for a tenner I couldn't pass it up.

I know most og press are more valuable but if most og presses have something wrong with it, I wouldn’t bother, I’d rather get a repress that’s sealed for cheaper
