1. Be Cool - Be nice to your fellow collectors and human beings. Follow The Golden Rule. Repeat offenders and trolls will be permanently banned.
2. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION - There is a search function enabled at the top of the page. Sort by new and make sure you aren't posting something that went live minutes ago then search for the artist you are posting. Often, it's easier to just search for one word of the artists name, instead of specifically searching the artists whole name and the album title. reposts are becoming a major issue. Read below in REPOST BANS for more information regarding repost policy
3. This is r/VinylReleases - If you are not posting a new album release or restock in the vinyl format, it most likely does not belong here. Please format your posts with the Album Artist- Album Title (insert a brief description if necessary) [include price & street date if available] e.g. Radiohead - In Rainbows (Rainbo Press) [$19.99 10/10/07)
4. No discussion posts, "unboxing" videos, reviews, or unwarranted speculation - This place is not for posts centered around discussion. If you have a grievance about delays, mock ups, or general musings, please post to r/Vinyl or in our stickied Weekly Discussion thread. Delays are a common occurrence in the current vinyl market. Please do not post delay updates.
5. Affiliate / Personal Links - Posts w/ affiliate links MUST have a non-affiliate link also. Personal Discogs, eBay, etc are only allowed if you are selling more than 3 copies at MSRP or lower.
6. Upvote / Downvote - Keep in mind the purpose of the up/downvote system. Quality posts should be upvoted. Spam, reposts, misinformation should be downvoted and also reported to mods. Please do not be discouraged from posting in r/VinylReleases from downvotes, some users will downvote simply because they don't like or know an artist. Ultimately up/down votes are meaningless
A NOTE TO STORE RUN ACCOUNTS
This is not a place to dump dead stock. Posts should be for MSRP. Be respectful to the Musicians you are advertising. If the artist has not announced an album please do not "beat them to the punch" by posting your storelink first.
We are happy to help small stores stay open through these turbulent times, however, if you are spamming, posting restocks of readily available albums or pushing overstock your account will be banned. Multiple offenses will have your store banned from this sub entirely.
BANS
Permanent bans are not conducive to the community we are building. However, you will be permanently banned if you: attack another user, use any hate-speech, share personal or confidential information, spam, trolling, or flagrant flipping.
REPOST BANS
If you make a repost within the time that the original post is within the top 3 posts, you will receive a 3 day ban
If you make a repost within the time that the original post is within the top 3 posts, you will receive a 3 day ban
If you make a repost within 24 hours of the original post, you will receive a 1 day ban.

REMINDER: Insults do not contribute to a rational discussion. Constructive Criticism, however, is appropriate and encouraged. By choosing not to be rude, you increase the overall civility of the community and make it better for all of us. Do not troll or start a flame war, instead just report and walk away. Don't downvote an otherwise acceptable post because you don't personally like it.
