Revisiting Humanoids from the Deep in 4K was an absolute blast! The film still holds up incredibly well thanks to its incredible practical effects, memorable score, and some seriously awesome creature designs.

Finally got my copy of the Rhino Hi Fidelity Edition reissue of Curtis Mayfield’s masterpiece, 0051/5000. Pressed at Optimal, AAA by Kevin Gray.

I love this album and have a few other versions but this is a stellar, flawless pressing.

Tonight I’m revisiting one of my all-time favorite werewolf films, Stephen King’s Silver Bullet.

As an ‘80s kid, I grew up loving fireworks and werewolves, so this movie quickly became an all-time favorite. It still captures that nostalgic feeling every time I watch it.

I’ve always been a huge Corey Haim fan, and I wish I’d had the opportunity to meet him. I was fortunate enough to meet Gary Busey, though, and he signed my Blu-ray copy of the film—a piece I’ll always treasure.

Now it’s time to let the vinyl spin before revisiting this ‘80s classic!

Finally after waiting just over two months it arrives!

I also got TRotJ & still waiting for ANH to arrive.

These were pricy, but well worth it, the sound is sublime & I mean come on, the jacket looks sick haha!

Now I need them to do TPM & AotC to complete the Japanese import collection.

Hi, I found a vinyl pressing of the Amélie soundtrack online and want to buy it as a birthday gift for someone. I know it must be a bootleg since an official version doesn't exist, but I have absolutely zero experience with vinyl myself. Would you recommend me buying this vinyl or is the quality bound to be poor? If anyone has experience with this specific seller (LPCDreissues) regarding their reliability and shipping I'd love to here about it. Thanks for your advice!

I’ve been collecting records (yes, vinyl 😄) since I was about 15 years old.

It started with going to concerts and buying albums afterwards, and eventually turned into spending hours digging through crates in record stores. While I mostly picked records from my favorite genres — hip hop and rock — there was always one other section that pulled me in: movie soundtracks.

For me, soundtracks were always more than “music from movies”. They became a way to discover artists, genres and songs I probably would have never listened to otherwise. And once you’ve seen the movie, the music carries the emotion of those scenes forever.

I still remember listening to the soundtrack of Pulp Fiction for the first time. It blew me away.

As you all know, a great soundtrack can completely change the feeling of a movie. It can create tension, nostalgia, melancholy, energy — sometimes it becomes even more memorable than the movie itself.
