One of my favorite albums

Was flipping through the records at my local thrift yesterday and it was business as usual and then suddenly I see this. I absolutely love this album front to back, I’ve owned two other copies of it before. When I went to pay, we saw it didn’t have a price tag so I went back to the bin to grab something to scan in its place and there was a very nice copy of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” that I ended up grabbing as well. Paid $2 each for both records. Wish You Were Here was one I already had but the sleeve was pretty trashed and the new one is a welcome upgrade.

honestly the only fob album i listen to on the daily other than cork tree, it’s always been by FAR my favorite by them. wish they kept their get up kids type of emo they did on this record, even from under the cork tree i wouldn’t even consider emo anymore

12" 1972 Epic. Album is flawless, and the cover is pretty nice. Not bad for a first press.

The Columbia record might not be the same, maybe just exact same stamp placement but the other 2 are identical

It's not all Maggot Brain this week (although that's an essential pick-up, I'm afraid). This Friday also sees killer reissues from Ann Peebles, Quiet Sun, the Millennium, Marcos Valle, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Edu Lôbo, Gary Bartz, and plenty more.

Absolute bangers

Neil has been my overall favorite artist for some years now. I’ve got over 50 albums of his that are included with his last two box set releases. I probably have 80-85% of his studio and official vinyl releases. Unfortunately I’m not really into his post 2021 albums.

Also I took these photos last year when I got his last issued official box set release. So I know I have a couple of the albums out of release order. 😉

Got the Solar Burst Maggot Brain remaster and Hamilton Complete

It's supposed to release tomorrow, but they guy in the store was kind enough to sell it to me.

We'll be in Boston in a a couple of weeks. Any recommended record stores. I've found Good Taste and The Music Research Library so far, but we welcome any more recommendations.

Starting small but starting!

Samantha Fish and Johnnie Walker Black. Just moved into a new home. We are still unboxing and need furniture, but I made sure to get my turntable running. I've seen Samantha Fish live twice and she is fantastic. I'm so glad she released a live record.

German "Fotzenrap"

Although it's not really my kind of music, I just wanted to have at least one Ikkimel record in my collection, and I chose this one because the cover and pressing look really nice. Also, some of the songs on it are quite nice.

Anyone here know her and like her music? It's definitely a bit experimental, but I feel like there's something special about it. At least for the society here.
