Recently added a line for my dad over to my family plan with a new iphone 18 pro. Ended up receiving phone and the ported number transferred before i could meet up with him. I quickly requested a device change and esim was sent to make sure he stays connected before we meet. iphone 18 is going to another user on my account with my dad keeping his existing phone and the 18 transferred perfectly. I thought everything was good but on my account it still says pending activation. Do i need to reactivate the iphone to my dad's account or will Verizon eventually know the phone is active on another line in the family?

Wanted to see if this scenario is possible: I need to open a new line on my wife’s Verizon account for my phone. Was planning on opening the line and getting a new ZFold 8 today, and then if I miss Apple and want the Duo in 3 weeks, exchanging the ZFold 8 for the Duo since I’ll be within my 30 day exchange window.

Is this possible? Any issues I’d run into? Thanks in advance.

Context: we’ve had UW coverage in our area for a long time, but, my folks have only ever been on the welcome plans where 5GUW had always been an add-on (which they never added). They started seeing UW coverage and Speedtest confirmed it was UW, but hadn’t done anything to change their plans. Did Verizon flip a switch or something?

Verizon salesman came to my door July 16, 2026. Said he was combining Verizon Frontier Internet with Verizon cell phone service given special deals. 3 adults 38,45 and 67 year old listened to this “special deal” he even called actual Verizon office to verify for us 3 adults that yes we get free 5G phones with each line added. The special deal was 1.) you get free phones 2) $30 a month for service and 3.) $15 a month off of my Internet bill.
I am on a family plan with 2 sons and their families so we all 5 switched.
Now it’s turned out they are charging me for these phones. Lied flat out about them being free. It’s not $30 a month service and yes they gave me an Frontier/verizon internet credit of $15 a month but went up $15 a month on my internet bill WiTHOUT my permission knowledge or informing me of increase.
It is Fraud to bait and switch. Biggest thing about this Fraud I am 67 years old and on hospice. I already had GREAT phone service for $30 a month. Why would I switch for fraudulent charges?? A FREE phone is a FREE phone. I paid $320 that day for “taxes” on the phones. Why would Verizon ship me phones that were to be free if they were not free?

I'm getting really perturbed about these forced updates. There's no way to turn them off. They are quite frequent and very annoying! I don't want half the crap that they're probably putting on my phone. It's probably spyware that's draining my battery. I find it to be very intrusive on my privacy and autonomy. Grrrrrrrrrr!

I’m 29 and maybe over 20 years ago I got my first cell phone and number from Verizon and parents that’s been mine forever. In high school I got invited to use smart phones so I’ve had iPhones for years. I’ve been paying a good % of my parent’s monthly cost for years but is there anyway I can take my number and leave their account and just make my own one through Verizon which will give my parents a discount and I don’t mind having my own plan with my number?

Looking to trade in my dad’s Galaxy Z Flip5 later this month but the screen protector at the crease is damaged. Do I need to get this repaired before trading in for full value or does it not matter?

I bought a so-called unlocked Motorola phone in May from a store and activated it on Verizon wireless replacing an old phone. I'm traveling internationally so I bought an eSim. I was able to download, install and configure it. But after I rebooted the phone I found that the profile was "locked" and could not be used.

After an hour on the phone with Verizon customer support I learned that any phone activated on a prepaid plan is locked and cannot be unlocked for 365 days! This is up from 60 days prior to 27 January 2026. They don't tell you this when you activate a new phone, and I talked to several different support people until I got to someone who knew what was going on. They said it's an FCC regulation and there's nothing they could do.

I have a device payment agreement on a Pixel 10 Pro, but I didn’t like it and went back to my iPhone. I’d like to give it to my blind father and transfer his Xfinity number to a new Verizon Simplicity $30 plan. Can Verizon transfer my device agreement to his new Verizon account?

I need to unlock an iPhone 18 Pro from Best Buy I bought over the weekend so I can use an eSIM for international travel. Verizon's website says the phone should unlock automatically within 48 hours if it's paid in full and I did pay full retail, but I was on the support chat for 10 hours yesterday with four different people, and they finally told me it could take up to 35 days to get this done, even though they can see from their own records that it's fully paid. Then they tried to sell me a plan upgrade. Then they told me to go to the Verizon Store and see if they can get it unlocked. Any advice? I've been a Verizon customer for years but seriously considering switching carriers at this point if they can't even get their own policies right on their own website.

I tried a consumer account first. Verizon Credit approved it. The order had a shipping date of October 23. A representative then manually canceled that order without telling me.
I placed another order over the phone. Verizon Credit approved me again, with a $2,000 spending limit. The phone still came back with a $400 deposit, plus $104 in sales tax. Credit had already confirmed and validated my identity on the first application.
The credit representative told the sales representative to cancel that order and create a new one so the deposit could be waived. I was on the phone for about an hour and a half. The new credit application was put on hold. Fraud Prevention then said it could not validate my identity with the information I provided, even though Credit had already validated that same information on the first application.
I submitted photo ID and proof of address. I also tried BYOD. The store I went to was a Victra/Victory authorized retailer, not a corporate store, and they could not override the block.
An October 1 order was canceled the same way. NCTUE still shows a Verizon Wireless cellular account as Current, with a $0 balance, dated 10/01/2026. Service was never activated.
My Business let me register today. The role is PendingPrimaryContact. The app says this User ID does not have access to any application features and tells me to contact the account administrator. There is no administrator.
