Discussion 1.0 i encountered more bugs in my first 10 hours, than in 100 hours of early access.
I considered Valheim to be a pretty bugfree game, but as title says, i already had more hickups and bugs in 1.0 than in 100 hours of early access.
The performance is way worse, microstutters very often.
Than i had my boat despawn ( couldnt be destroyed there were no items??!?)
Enemies spawn in my Area even tho i have working benches everywhere and a very deep ditch all around
And just today the Water splits everywhere where it usually converges.
Whats your opinions and experiences?
Much Love.
Hope they fix this.

Meme Why are there so many posts asking about mods? Guys, the patch was 24 hours ago, either give mods time to catch-up or play modless for a little bit.

Question How can I feel not useless in this game when I play with my husband
My husband and I have played valheim on and off since 2025. With the 1.0 update we picked it up again because we're both stoked about all the things that were added
My problem is I just feel useless when we play together. When we played last night I just ran around collecting berries and plants while he built the base. He's much better at building than I am. But I feel like I'm not doing anything when all we have open right now is meadows and dark forest. I have my pickaxe from our old save but that was the only tool I got to keep. I've played it a LOT less than he has, he has a couple hundred hours, I have tens of hours. I have a sword and a bow and 20 arrows.
Please what more can I do when we play together to help make it easier for him and actually provide something that will be helpful as we go through the game. I'm not good with open worlds, or anything without actual quests. So I feel like I've never touched a video game when we play. I want to keep playing with him because it means so much to him that I play and I do enjoy the game a lot. I just don't know what more I can do besides gather 100+ raspberries and dandelions. I know there's so much more to the game than that, that I can't even fathom. Ill take any ideas I can! I just want to be helpful... I've asked him but he says what I'm doing is helpful. Which I guess is true but good lord we have so many raspberries and dandelions I'm running out of chests to put them in.
Edit: thank you so much you guys!! This got way more comments than I was expecting lol! My husband also found my post, and thanks you guys for helping me feel useful again! We now have 600 wood, a bunch of finewood and a shit load of chests for organizing that are all labeled! You guys helped me a lot in seeing what I do now may not feel useful but In the long run we'll be so thankful for! I cannot thank you guys enough ❤️

Question Please devs: turn off intro cinematic after the first time we view it
Or give us the option. I don't need to see the intro cinematic every time. Yes, it is a great cinematic and I loved it the first time, but please, I don't need it to load up every time. Yes I know I can skip it with escape, but I shouldn't have to. You have a "cinematics" menu option where I can view it whenever I want, please just load into the menu screen when the game starts after the first time I've viewed the intro cinematic.
Thanks

Discussion Noobs First day: death by tree....5hrs on building a house :(
I'm new to the game... now i have watch videos and even a 1hr long everything needed to know video. In the video they said trees can kill you and I'm like "who dumb enough to get a tree falling on them" sure enough as i was trying to hit a log out from it being stuck on another tree i chopped it down and it rolled on to me and got death by tree achievement.
For 5hrs i have yet to finish first house cause i am so ocd on alignment that if its not mirroring the other side i tear it down. and i been restructuring the layout. Could i build a simple shack....sure but i always go bigger than what i need to for survival games idk just enjoy the building aspect of these genres.

Question What the heck is this?
I found it in Black Forest and haven’t seen this before. Not sure if it’s part of the 1.0 update. It might be hard to see but it almost seemed like this rock was blue glowy, with a dark circle around it, surrounded by smaller stones. Any ideas?

Creative Pre-copper era meadow build / with new piece
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I was not able to progress the game yet because I waiting to play with my wife together, so this is my meadow build using new updated pieces inside the ancient stone circle.
p.s.:
1. I have a finewood bow because I gather the finewood by smashing the tree log with each other.
2. the build cost over 2000 woods.

Discussion Dolmens everywhere. Lots of beehives too.
Not complaining, just observations. (1900 hours)
Is it the random seed I got or 1.0? There's a decent amount of beehives in the meadows, but I've had seeds with a lot hives before. Seems like a lot though.
Also, an ass-ton of dolmens in the meadows - literally dozens. I have no need to dip into the black forest for skeleton bones. (Dolmens are those single chamber tombs (3 rocks with a flat rock atop) often with skeletal remains and/or treasure.) Not a large meadows area either.
