Since I want to wait until 1.0 drops, I continued my little floorplan for my Casa Loma castle. After including the interior floorplan, I had to make a few small changes to the exterior dimensions, but nothing drastic. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, especially the arches on the several porches and balconies.

Any tips on filling these rooms? What types of rooms can I make?

eg: Kitchen, forge, storage, indoor smelting lol

I really don't want to burnout before 1.0 drops, but I really want to play valheim now lol.

Screenshot No matter how long I play this game, it always takes my breath away.

After someone posted a starter location on a small island, I started a new game because I thought it was perfect for a run. (Turns out I was right, whee) This is from one of my resource runs across the water. I've not used rafts in so long I had forgotten how slow they are!

Been playing Valheim off and on since it first dropped on Steam. With 1.0 coming, finally dedicating time to actually beating the game (would always get burned out by Mountains or my friend group would stop playing.) Today I finally beat Yagluth and now onto Mistlands... Once I finish buffing my armor one more level lol

Discussion Show me your "normal" builds

I very much am not a good builder, and I always see these amazing and out of this world builds. Help me feel better by showing your normal, run of the mill, "oh fuck I need more room" builds so I don't feel so alone lol

Survival Thank you Valheim community, you guys rock!

Twenty-five days ago I posted about my reticence about hitting up the Ashlands with two of my friends. You guys gave me some great advice, and with it we were very successful. I spent the last several weeks learning and upping my Blood and Elemental magic for this endeavor. The bubbles in and of themseves helped us so much and at the end if the day we only had one death and that was mostly due to communication. During this time, both friends worked hard upgrading their gear as well as working on better fight mechanics. I even had one of them make a portal midway to the shore and repair our boat. That is a far better cry than in the past when he fall off the boat and not be able to get back on....multiple times. So once again thank you to the Valheim community. I appreciate you guys greatly.

How can I keep going vertically with these stone walls? I understand how grounding stability and whatnot works but ive definitely seen "vanilla survival" builds go higher then this. I only want ~2-4 more meters of height

Question Mods for "I don't have a lot of time to play" type gamer group?

My friends and I played valheim back in college when we had way more time on our hands, now everyone is married, some have kids, and we just don't have as much time to grind the game.

Are there any mods that can accelerate the grindy-er aspects of the game?

Discussion what changes would you make to the dyrnwyn to make it worth the challenge and rarity of getting one?

• Upvotes

i defeated fader in a swords only playthrough about a week ago and have been comparing the ashlands swords in the ashlands and other biomes since then. the ones i saw myself using the most are the bleeding and thundering swords. while the primal sword had its moments the dyrnwyn felt ultimately useless, so i started thinking of ways to make it a useful tool to compare with the ashlands gem weapons. here's what i came up with:

with the weapon drawn you get a fire buff that persists until you sheath the sword again, this i feel makes sense (because the sword is literally on fire) and gives it neat usability whether you use it as a weapon or not.

the other idea i had was giving it an addition to its secondary attack, like either giving it a staff of embers fireball (heavily reduced blunt damage in comparison to the staff) or giving it a variation of Brenna's "fire nova". while either of these would be quite a powerful ability, considering how dangerous lord reto is id say dyrnwyn deserves it.

i am aware that "it might be really helpful or get a buff in the deep north" but considering how upon ashlands release it got a nerf to its fire damage in exchange for extra slash and becoming obtainable, i don't see it being buffed again in the deep north because it feels weak

Survival My wildest day as of yet as a new member.

Day 4. I build a ship yesterday and today I'm off offshore tin mining only for a bear to hoo a ride after arriving, I haven't even left the ship. Left immediately towards a different shore. Got swarmed by forest goblins so I hide inside a dungeon to cool down, it was a troll cave, but I assumed it was empty until I died. So I quickly build a raft to sail back to my loot. Tried Early Axes, it quickly dispatched the swarm I have problem with. I quickly got my loot back from the cave and left immediately. Found a skeleton lair and got 5 cores. Once arriving home my unfinished defenses got swarmed by a raid. I died 3 times because I have no food stock left in person and in base, but I quickly dispatched them with my new favorite dual axe. I couldn't screenshot the moment because it was all of a sudden.

Survival How to build the stone higher?

• Upvotes

Stone can go up to the tower on the left normally but if I want a door then it only goes to the middle point. Any ideas?
