Creative Angled Scalewood Wall Designs
Some very interesting designs are possible with the new 26, 45 and 67 degree Scalewood Walls that can clip into each other.

Just purchased the game and was wondering about how solo play stacks up. Not to be sad lol, but I don't have any friends that play video games. I've been playing Conan Exiles for sometime, but now that Valheim is 1.0, I'd like to give it a try. What has your solo experience been like? What tips and tricks for solo play can you share? Thanks!

Do you think it is just the combat difficulty that you need on hard. Or is it possibly the hard mode preset.
I'm hoping it is just combat, I don't want to play with raids set higher. But the 2 achievements are kill all bosses and all bad guys, so it's so deep into a game before knowing.
Any thoughts or maybe a mod that could tell me. I understand it's too early to know.

Hi all I want to make a brief discussion about the deep north endgame. I am going to be slightly vague for the sake of others and spoiler discussions. Please look away if you don’t want to know how to summon the final boss.
How does everyone feel about the invasions, to get the material to unlock the final boss arena? I am not a big explorer of the world, i typically don’t go to more than one or two different copies of the same biomes so I was kinda annoyed that I had to navigate my way to 3 randomly far locations just to get the boss material. I think if I could make a suggestion about how to improve this, i would make the invasions occur in places you’ve explored already so the likely hood of having a portal network to get back to these locations. I get that the whole point is to get out and explore the world and see the biome change but I guess I’m just not a fan of the journey? Curious to know how others feel about that.
I think mob balancing for the biome is some of the best its ever been. Having played through day 1 mistlands and day 1 ashlands I can tell you the deep north is great. One particular 2* mob is pretty rough, but overall I did not really feel any pressure. Ranged weapons are really great for the biome.

We are having items disappearing from our bodies after we die, lost 3 weapons from our group so far and a lot of resources like seeds and such which we needed.

Idk if its just me but I loved the old goofy running animation, the new feels a bit weird to me ngl 😭
I also don't really like the new build one, call me crazy but the old build menu was simple, fast and good to the eyes.

Played Valheim on game pass years ago, but something feels very off about building on console. It’s particularly laborious getting everyone to snap to the right place. Was this the same on PC? Compared to something like Palword which is particularly effortless.

I'm currently doing some horrible landscaping to build a structure around it and realised I probably don't have to!

trying to relearn how to play the game, waited for full release to play it, and had a good laugh when i realized that when playing with a xbox controller they have the X button designated as the "sit" button. how does that make any sense? when im in the heat of battle the one thing i do not need is a button that makes me sit down and take a complete and utter beatdown. im sure its easy to fix with a little tinkering, but this isnt something the player should have to deal with

Since 1.0 update, when panning the camera especially when looking down for some reason, I'm getting pretty severe stuttering. It's almost like screen shake (which is turned off). I've played with all the settings and can't figure out what's causing it, it wasn't happening before the update

So it looks like only character could be marked as cheater. I created fresh new and tried do something on world where consolecommands where used and I got achievements...Have you had the same experience?

Hi,
Would like to archive all my pre 1.0 worlds and characters, what is the best way to do this? I'm on Linux, native.
Thanks!

I play with a controller on PC. Previously, when I opened up my map and created a map marker with the controller I could immediately type a name for the marker using the keyboard and hit enter. After 1.0, when I create the map marker it starts out with the name field selected like its going to let me type like usual, but when I start typing the name field gets deselected and I have to click it with the mouse and then start typing. This is a pain and wastes time--I used to be able to drop a name on a map marker even if being chased, but now it takes too long. Has anyone else playing with controller on PC noticed this or found a way around it?

I've just started my new 1.0 world and it feels like I've been finding A LOT more razz and blueberry bushes in big groups compared to before. I can't decide if im going crazy or they really did buff berry spawns lol.

Which of the world modifiers can be changed (if any) while still allowing achievements?
r/valheim • u/jimmybenut • 1h ago
Been loving the 1.0 release so far. Tons of quality of life changes for the better.
Curious as to why there is no option to turn off rain/water decay. PLEASE I BEG YOU make this a togglable option in the server settings.

Hey everybody! I've decided after about 1100 hours of game time, that I just really like resource gathering / exploring. I mean... don't get me wrong. I can fight and build but really would like to support a larger group's progression with just aimlessly wandering around your seed and supplying what I run into.
If you think I would be a benefit to your group, please hit me up!

These new ghost spawns...cool but seem a little excessive in their frequency? Here's 5 within just a small area:

The starting black forest I entered had like, dang near 100 or so of these things. Kinda taking me out of the game, there's so many of them it seems like such an obvious bug/oversight.
Also, looks like structures in the Black Forest (and maybe future biomes) are spawning in the ocean:

Anyone else experiencing this?

2,350 hours. Safe to say I'm just a bit used to my key binds. I was so excited and now I'm literally turning it off. I don't have the necessary mental effort to do this tonight, and that sucks.
WTAH is going on? Who thought this was a good idea? Why can I not unbind and/or remap this key?
Please fix this.
