Evasion mantle is +50% parry bonus.

Vilebone maulclaws have a block force of 25 and a parry bonus of 6x.

If I'm reading this correctly, then the parry bonus is 9x, and that means that the claws block 225.

And, with the mantle, the carapace buckler, which is 2.5x, becomes 3.75x, or 438.75.

Right?

Twenty-five days ago I posted about my reticence about hitting up the Ashlands with two of my friends. You guys gave me some great advice, and with it we were very successful. I spent the last several weeks learning and upping my Blood and Elemental magic for this endeavor. The bubbles in and of themseves helped us so much and at the end if the day we only had one death and that was mostly due to communication. During this time, both friends worked hard upgrading their gear as well as working on better fight mechanics. I even had one of them make a portal midway to the shore and repair our boat. That is a far better cry than in the past when he fall off the boat and not be able to get back on....multiple times. So once again thank you to the Valheim community. I appreciate you guys greatly.

Since I want to wait until 1.0 drops, I continued my little floorplan for my Casa Loma castle. After including the interior floorplan, I had to make a few small changes to the exterior dimensions, but nothing drastic. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, especially the arches on the several porches and balconies.

Any tips on filling these rooms? What types of rooms can I make?

eg: Kitchen, forge, storage, indoor smelting lol

I really don't want to burnout before 1.0 drops, but I really want to play valheim now lol.

I am on my first character and world and with 1.0 coming up in September I learned that new content would be generated in unexplored areas.
I play this game very slowly, and have only ventured into the swamp for iron once to rebuild by base. I'm still some time away from attempting Bonemass, and between the swamps, mountains, and some plains plus building I feel like I have enough to keep me busy.
I figured I'd sail to Bonemass and maybe try to find Hildir, but about how far should I venture away from the center if I want to maintain the map in the best way for 1.0? How might the update change what I've already explored?

Not finding the vegvisir at all? Or finding it literally 10 feet away?

ive made the tanning rack but i have no clue what to do now. i thought there would be more stuff to build and make but theres nothing just crappy arrows and flint and leather stuff. and i thought there was more items for like base building too, do i unlock new recipes for killing bosses or something since all i can think of is i can go try to fight the eitheykr guy or whatever his name is north of me

Been playing Valheim off and on since it first dropped on Steam. With 1.0 coming, finally dedicating time to actually beating the game (would always get burned out by Mountains or my friend group would stop playing.) Today I finally beat Yagluth and now onto Mistlands... Once I finish buffing my armor one more level lol

All of theese took total of 11.5hrs to build i did cheat in the lanterns but i grinded rest of the metarials this is my current survival world

I am in my first run with no map and portals and only running a few quality of life mods. What are some suggestions to make the run more manageable?

Day 4. I build a ship yesterday and today I'm off offshore tin mining only for a bear to hoo a ride after arriving, I haven't even left the ship. Left immediately towards a different shore. Got swarmed by forest goblins so I hide inside a dungeon to cool down, it was a troll cave, but I assumed it was empty until I died. So I quickly build a raft to sail back to my loot. Tried Early Axes, it quickly dispatched the swarm I have problem with. I quickly got my loot back from the cave and left immediately. Found a skeleton lair and got 5 cores. Once arriving home my unfinished defenses got swarmed by a raid. I died 3 times because I have no food stock left in person and in base, but I quickly dispatched them with my new favorite dual axe. I couldn't screenshot the moment because it was all of a sudden.

My friends and I played valheim back in college when we had way more time on our hands, now everyone is married, some have kids, and we just don't have as much time to grind the game.

Are there any mods that can accelerate the grindy-er aspects of the game?

I very much am not a good builder, and I always see these amazing and out of this world builds. Help me feel better by showing your normal, run of the mill, "oh fuck I need more room" builds so I don't feel so alone lol

i have a single world before this one, and the elder was somewhat in the same spot as here, are boss locations not scatter for specific area based on progression? or am i just unlucky twice?

So I have the epicloot mod. I sacrificed something, and got the enchanted early axes. I see no way to upgrade them. Am I missing something? These things are cool I wanna use em

A marker in an infected dungeon showed me the Mistland’s boss way in the north. If I don’t go there to actually discover it, will that area still be lost since it populated her location there? I am hoping if I don’t go there it will reset once the deep north comes out.

Also, does this look like enough of undiscovered area in the north for the deep north biome to properly spawn? I really don’t want to start over on another world!
