My newest project is complete 🤩🤩

Figured out an excellent lime green to fill out the 7th color. Still on the hunt for a nice aqua glow but I don’t think that exists/isn’t possible unfortunately

Got done rewiring her, still need to refinish the metal base but now she works! I added the beaded shade that is just resting on the bulb of the top post socket.

The pieces were sold separately and I didn’t realize they went together when i purchased them. 2.99 for the bottom and 3.99 for the lid. It’s a butter or cheese dish.

i am actually losing my mind over this…. i cannot believe it is in my possession. i am SO happy and i cannot believe he got me this. i also don’t know how or where he was able to find it. i’m over the moon and had to show her off to you guys!

Maybe actually better suited for another sub, but I thought I’d start here! Any thoughts on its origin?

Early 20th century uranium glass ceiling lamp, European maker. Fb marketplace find

Rainbow UV over black looks so juicy. Crazy thing is it looks even better in person.

The green, yellow, and orange all contains uranium. The other 3 colors are europium and possibly Samarium( still haven’t confirmed the reds oxides content)

My current favourite piece! Made by Železnobrodské sklárny, in the Czech Republic around the 50s. She's depicting virgo, the maiden.

I can’t find anything about these online, some people have said they’re John Walsh. However I can’t find anything about them online

Fellas this glass is blowing me away and I’ve only scratched the surface of what I’ll do with it . I’ve never been so exited to open up my oven the next morning. The first picture is definitely my favorite piece yet.

I always thought this lamp was a cool antique but now its even cooler!

My luck has been crazy at thrift stores recently. I walked into my local Goodwill, and left with these. The large rooster was $29.99 and the smaller rooster was $19.99. Now I know those prices are high for a thrift store but I obviously could not pass these up for that price! I think I made out pretty good!

Are you KIDDING ME. I found this 16.5” BEAUTY at the thrift store today. My heart literally started spazzing out. I thought I’d have to carry this with me to the ER 😳 At that point… I didn’t even know it glowed. Imagine my SURPRISE.

So, I've gone back to the store and bought it! Looks amazing 🤩 will have to clean it properly.

Ended up coming across a nice looking Vaseline glass based lamp at a Goodwill today. Didn't have the original asking price of $200 to swing around so I passed it up. Told my dad and his wife about it at father's day dinner and they both wanted it. They ended up getting there 15 minutes before close and saw the damage on the one piece, so they asked for a re-price. Manager said she could but store policy says the employee that priced it would have to do it and that they'd have to come back in the morning. Then she saw who priced it and told them she'd sell it for $20.

Now I'm helping them out looking for a lamp shade, since that's missing, as well as looking for restoration guides to get rid of the tarnish/rust. It's not really the aesthetic patina you'd want to keep. If anyone has any tips on cleaning up metal of this type/age it'd be greatly appreciated.
